Slenderpaw hid the rabbit in a small hollow, and continued to hunt. A bird swooped low over her head, and the apprentice snapped her paws up at it. The bird's wings folded under the cat's thin paws, and she dug the claws in, ignoring the pain from the missing one. She killed the bird quickly, then brought it to the rabbit. She looked at the two pieces of prey briefly, then picked them both up. She was suddenly bored with hunting, and brought the prey back to camp. Gently, she set it in the fresh kill pile, then gazed around the camp. It seemd to be a slow day so she laid out in the sunlight and rested.
