not to derail but ughhghgh i hated this!! some people don't realize that the general public don't know the separate members, and honestly you can't get mad at having bts represent a sub-section of members when it's America-based.

solo stans are ridiculous these days, same with the delululu shippers.
especially like the ridiculous liskook ones that make freaking edits of them that look so realistic, like its nuts!
also- i have a question for you guys
do you think someone is a koreaboo if they genuinely do want to learn korean? tbh i find it so ridiculous that people consider people who want to learn korean koreaboos. like if it's like the cringey stuff, totally understand but if they genuinely spend their days learning korean for education or something else do you rlly think it's that bad?

imo being a koreaboo is pretending you were born in korea or that you are korean when youre not, and adopting habits and mannerisms of koreans and stuff like that
if you want to learn korean, i dont think thats being like a koreaboo at all. its crazy how people think that. its not like people who want to learn spanish or french or something are called "frenchaboos" or "mexicaboos" why should it be any different for asian languages

i watch the delulu shippers fight on my twit timeline and it's hilarious. two ends of the same stick lmao (its always vkookers vs jikookers asasfjlasfaslj)Golden_Sugakookie wrote:do you think someone is a koreaboo if they genuinely do want to learn korean
to me koreaboo means:
> you do that cringy -eu ending TaeTae oppa saranghae!! stuff
> do the habits/mannerisms/culture-based things despite not being korean
or doing some weird "hyung/oppa/noona" thing online or offline (especially with fandoms? like.. i saw someone (an obvious kboo) call bigbang "bigbang sunbaenim" seriously on instagram and i was like ???)
> think you're korean or call yourself korean if you aren't korean.
bonus points for randomly inserting korean words into your speech for absolutely no reason
learning korean is cultural appreciation (at least, the best term i can think of right now) and is something you're encouraged to learn. it isn't any different than polish/icelandic/japanese. wanting to understand k-dramas or kpop is just your motivator.

how do you guys feel about love yourself: answer and idol getting certified gold, and mic drop getting certified platinum from the RIAA's back on the 9th? tbh it feels like just yesterday mic drop and dna got gold.

I'm a casual fan but I think all 7 are so great in their own ways ;w; like on a 1D scale from 1 to 10 they're all 10's but for different reasons (not that anyone is lacking in one department that another member rocks--terrible explanation -flips tables-)
If I had to pick one I'd pick Hoseok! But I don't like picking just one :U
(this is a side thing so feel free to ignore but I don't know where the lines are drawn for casual fan vs fan vs casual ARMY vs ARMY (which is probably a 2D spectrum, but the lines gotta be somewhere); I've seen these terms used non-disparagingly with clearly different definitions but idk where the lines are and I think I'm near the lines lol)
Was your pet adopted December 18, any year, or December 24, 2011? It is most likely an older pet! CLICK ME to identify your pet!

Being a casual fan is totally fine and pretty awesome! I don’t understand how someone could be a casual fan but that’s only because I’m super into them and I can never go back lol
Two of my friends actually I’ve deagged them into kpop and they casually like a few groups. They don’t know the members names or anything (well maybe kind of because I force them to know Hobi lol) but they just enjoy the music.
a pathological people pleaser

this is my personal definition of each:
casual fan - listens to the music when it comes on, enjoys it, knows one name at least
fan - will actively seek the music out (eg. typing twice in the youtube search bar), knows some names. might be able to match names to faces
casual army - fan, watches the content (BV, Summer Package, Bangtan Bombs, etc), may or may not vote/stream
army - fan, watches the content, votes and streams when needed
it's mostly gradients tbh, like im a fan of twice and aoa, and i know faces-to-names for twice, but i only know two names in aoa.tea rose wrote:Suga seems like the
