Cade Olson - 23 - Tags: Open - Location: Town Bench
Cade sat himself on a bench, eating some beef jerky. He had an unmistakeable scowl on his face as he ate. He watched the pidgeons by his feet coo and peck at his shoes. “Get off!” He hissed, waving his foot around as to scare them off. The birds flew away and he was left, a bit angerier than before, still chewing on the jerky.

James Olson - 23 - Tags: Stella - Location: Library
James couldn't focus so he got up to put his book away. In the aisle where he had found it, was a girl. She must’ve been one of the guests. He tried to sneak away before she saw him so she wouldn’t command him to do anything. But, the girl had looked up before he had the chance to sneak off. “Oh. Hello. Are you a guest? Do you -“ he paused and sighed, “need anything?” He hoped that she did not.

Mark trekked softly through the forest in his aardvark form. He passed over a log with a little hop. Soon, he spotted the familiar form of his den. He crawled through the tight entrance into his home. It was a small cave underneath a large oak tree. The inside couldn’t fit a human easily, but it was cozy in his aardvark form. In one corner he had a shelf carved into the dirt with several pressed flowers and a few books on flora of various countries. In the opposite corner, he had a pile of human cloths and trinkets by a laid out blanket he used as a bed. And in the final corner, he had a bowl of water next to various food products. Sighing, he curled onto his blanket and slept.

Codie looked on curiously, when the boy gestures towards him.Does he want me to approach him? How odd...he thought puzzled. Adjusting himself to hold his laptop and coffee, he walked over to the boy. ”Hey there, can I help you? he asked, curious why the boy had summoned him, what use would he have of a budding reporter?

anya’s smile dropped once the man's expression changed into something sour. by now she should be used to it as her grandpa, vanya, and grandma (sometimes) would give her that look when she did something unladylike. but when it was dealing with a possible impatient costumer, she wasn’t all that used to it. anya slid down from the bar stool and nabbed the keys off of the counter before heading over towards the display case where the man was standing. she inserted the key and unlocked the casing. anya opened the door grabbed the items that the man wanted before placing them gently down on the counter. they were great choices actually, but it was an odd color theme. after she placed the items on the counter, anya ducked back down in the casing and lifted up the heavy bottom that covered many more things such as bubble wrap and boxes. she grabbed three different sized grey-purplish boxes that belonged to each piece of jewelry along with a cloth and cleaner. she placed all the items on the counter and started to clean the pieces of jewelry. not that they were clean, just to make it more shiny. she shouldn’t be doing this job but her grandma was upstairs still getting around. once anya finished the necklace, she placed it in its proper box and slid it over to the man before doing the same with the earrings and bracelet. now the price. math isn’t my cup of tea, rather vanya’s but i guess i can see what i can do, she thought as she sat back up on the barstool. “originally the price is thirty for each- so that would be ninety. but since i wrongfully wasted your time, i can bring it down to...” she looked down at the counter, wondering what could be a reasonable price for her and the man. maybe fifteen would do?...no. maybe fifteen for each of the three? “i can take fifteen each for the three....if that’s okay with you...you can ask for a lower price...if you want... sorry.” she muttered softly, feeling awkward for doing this. it looked simple when her grandma tended the counter, and all she had to do was carefully arrange the jewelry to look nice. but now her grandma was still upstairs, and the only person that could help her was vanya. but he was with their grandpa, which was a good thing as vanya would probably charge the man a higher price... which he has done before with a different costumer. which that costumer would tell at them for highway robbery, whatever that meant, before heading out of the store in a fiery rage. something that she wouldn’t want to see this costumer do.

he flinched in surprise on how that worked. normally it wouldn't work on his grandpa nor his sister...or any other adult un the real world. he looked up at the man and froze. what can he say now? what should he do? he didn't know how to speak to adults other than his grandpa and grandma. vanya snapped out of his petrified state and looked at the man as he asked him a question, "oh. oh, i thought that i could help you since you waved....at me...". he stopped and started to fidget with the napkin in his grasp. vanya looked down at the napkin, gripping it tightly as he started to kick his legs like a small six-year-old child. he then looked back up at the man, glaring at him, "...why are you here anyway? aren't you supposed to be at work making lies? or are you not a newsman?"

Codie tilted his head, utterly perplexed by this odd boy. “Oh! I was just waving out of politeness after you were staring at me so intensely...” he explained calmly, his newsman persona kicking in. Now the second comment the boy made would be a lot harder to answer... “We don’t make lies. He withheld his eyeroll at the comment. “Our job is to report the truth. Yes, many articles may be biased, but journalistic integrity is always preserved. At least in our newspaper.” Having preached this message, he pondered for a second. That should be my next article! I could write about the laws of journalism. Maybe that would get approved by the boss...

"oh, makes sense." he muttered as he ripped the napkin in half, still staring at the man. he then glared at the man who said that the news didn't make lies. he placed his chin on his hands and tilted his head a little as he continued to speak a language that he didn't quite understand. the poor education system here folks. vanya shrugged. "how do i know that you are telling the truth and not a bunch of lies? how would the people know? but honestly, i think that people would want lies rather than the truth. the truth would just make everything much worse. however the lies do come into play there too....why not just make a story up? that would be more interesting...that would at least do the trashcan good...grandpa keeps thrownin' the papers out..." he muttered, placing his hand back down on the table. he crossed his legs and stared down at his roll before glancing back at the man. "what's your name?"

He cleared his mind by shaking his head. "Well! Maybe I'll see you later, then?"

Marc-Anthony realized how big of a mistake it was to let her choose the movie. He should have said something to the point where they could both agree on the movie. Now he was stuck having to watch half of it with her.
He loved spending time with his girlfriend but honestly watching the same movie over and over again was getting tiring for him.
Luckily for them both they were never bound to perish. Meaning Princess Bride for eternity.
"Wonderful choice.." he said through gritted teeth and a false smile
"I'll make sure I find it later tonight.."
He sighed and turned a little to drop the act, rubbing his chin and watching the opposite wall. Why did it have to be Princess Bride...
He sat there a minute before turning back to her and grinning mischievously
"That just means next movie night we watch what I want to watch!"
He chuckled and crossed his arms over his chest triumphantly. He had beat her in her game and now they were even.
"But Princess Bride is a wonderful choice.. whatever makes you happy, my dear." he purred while leaning forwards and catching her to give her a few playful kisses to the cheek as he gripped her arms and held her still to enforce his kissing attack to her jaw and cheeks
Like any good boyfriend would do.

Arc sighed and lowered his head a little bit. His eyes closed and the man took a second to sigh softly. He lifted his head back up to see the boy going off to see if there were any more flowers in the buckets. Honestly he wasn't expecting to spend this much time looking for flowers but then again he didn't know what this boy's father was like. He didn't know who he would be going home to.
Probably best to spend as much time here as possible, then.
He leaned on the cart and kept an eye out for any red flowers as he slowly pushed it forwards and around the buckets.
The kid asked if he had done anything wrong to make his father mad and he shrugged
"Kind of.. I mean.. its somezing I couldn't help. He got mad und I sort of snapped. Ve haven't been on very stable ground since."
He looked kind of distant and a little unhappy while sitting his chin down on his arms, which were atop the handle to the cart.
He shrugged a little bit again
"I told him I vas gay. He disowned me in return."

Vengal nodded and turned a bit to look up at the sun. It was a little strong today, but there was rumors of it raining soon. He hoped Marc had his umbrella, else he would have to stay in the Manor until it passed.
He stuffed his hands in his pockets, and his face slowly contorted to a frown as he listened to the other speak about being nervous about the kitchen
"Hell no.. I'm not gonna leave you to your own devices." he scoffed while softening his features a little bit to seem less negative
"Now that ya've told me, I'm gonna come with you, and you're gonna deal with it.."
He tried to smile and make a light joke about it, chuckling softly
"Got it? Come on, kid. I'll be there for ya. Nobody's gonna do things alone while Vengal's around."
He beamed happily and gestured for the other male to follow as he moved for the front doors and opened them for him, following after inside once they had passed

Mishka sat there waiting, watching the girl's every move. He was beginning to get a little bored just sitting there, sort of taking the time to gaze around lazily at whatever else was in his line of sight.
Eventually in the corner of his eyes he spotted the girl cleaning up the jewelry and eventually telling him the cheapest price for these pieces.
His face dropped a little and he shook his head while frowning
"Are you kidding?" he huffed while rolling his eyes
"You clearly have no experience."
He leaned over and pointed to each piece of jewelry, making sure that the girl was watching him as well
"You know how much it takes to make dis piece. Den you add a little more so you have money left over."
He eyed the pieces they had and shook his head
"I vill pay seventy five for each."
And leaned back to get his wallet out to pay for each pieces in cash
"And you vill tell me who runs dis store. Tell me vhere dey are." he huffed while eyeing the girl there
"And also box and bag my items for me, please."

Let's just leave door duty to someone else, he thought as he turned around to follow Lark out the door as he didn’t have much of a reply for what he had said. Who would even reply to that? No one at all, but he should at least say something so it didn’t seem like he was ignoring him.... but what to say? He should mention the bird that the man had, but what use would that be? Lark might go on about how that was also bad due to a certain family member. And yet, here is where the mistakes fall into place. This is why he shouldn’t be trusted with the door in the first place. “Why do I have a bad feeling that he’s not going to be in there?” he muttered, unaware that he spoke it out loud rather than in his head. He bit the bottom of his lip and thought about the worst possible punishment: getting fired. Okay, that wasn’t as bad as getting killed, but why would Lark kill someone?...unless he is secretly heartless and doesn’t really care about everyone in the manor, but then again...But back to getting fired, if he was ever fired, then where would he and Mary stay? Absolutely positively not the place that he used to reside in. Reasons varied between two things: a psychopathic wolf lives there (which he shouldn’t be really talking due to the fact that the ‘good’ old days seemed to never leave his mind) and then there’s the wolf.... just the wolf. Hating humans. As much as he does. Facilier sighed heavily, praying (ironically of course) that the giant was still in the interview room.

As he was listening, he continued to scrounge for the flower. But he was distracted by what Arc had to say about the arguments. "I'm sorry. I cannot even rwelate. Pap never yells at me." he said as he moved a few flowers quickly to see if there was the red flower was in the bucket that he was currently at. Nope. Not in there. Mary moved to another bucket, and moved the flowers around again, "Well if I leave the house without permission of course. He gets scared if I'm not home when he finishes work." The boy flashed a small smile as he pulled out a flower that was almost similar to the one that he was looking for... he placed it back and continued to look while listening to Arc incase had something to say. And eventually, he did. A surprising fact that is. "I'm guessin' that you don't care that your father hates you...since what you told me." he muttered as he pulled yet another flower that looked like the same as before. This was a rose, right? Yes, because of the thorns. Ow... Mary muttered as he placed the rose back in the bucket, rubbing the side of his face to rid of the blood of his finger. It wasn't bad but ew. He looked up at Arc, "Wellllllllll, if it makes you any betterrrrrrr, I always wanted to wear a dress...but I dunno.". He moved over towards the next bucket and pulled out the flower that looked very similar to the one that his father put in the vase on his desk, but it seemed like a petal or two was missing. Mary placed the flower back in and contined to look.

Everest had finally caught up to him smiling at the fact that Fal was terrible due to him leaving her outside in the snow. “I mean, I killed someone. Without their or his consent. That’s what most people do to their animals when they do wrong. Right? At least you don’t know the full story.” she muttered as she followed him into the alleyway. “Just a kid being followed by a psychopathic talking wolf. That is surely not suspicious.” she stopped once Valac stopped, soon to point up at the balcony. She glanced at Val, “What am I to you? A wolf spider?”. She snickered, knowing the actual answer to that. She looked up and stared at the balcony, wondering where she would find the old hag. In her room? In the living room? Kitchen? Walking out of the front door now? Possibly in the store. She sighed deeply, this woman could be anywhere. Everest looked up at Valac, “Okay if I’m going up there, you have to at least go in the shop and throw a rock or something at the balcony so I know when to go downstairs.”. She looked up back at the balcony before heading towards the wall, shifting into a shadowy blob. She glided up the wall and towards the balcony, soon to shift back once she was safe. Everest stuck her head through the bars of the balcony and looked down at Valac, grinning, “Chop chop lil Val.”. With that, she twisted her head a little before backing up and headed inside.

Alexander laughs with Vengal and smiles. He feels his face start to heat, so he puts a hand up to cover any blush. He had just eaten, so there was enough blood in his system to make it happen. “Thank you,” He mumbles, following Vengal. “I really do appreciate it!” Then he laughs, he hadn’t been called a kid for a while. He holds the door open for the other man before walk-in in himself. “I think I may have missed cooking breakfast, I’ll have to make up fo it later, eh? Do you know the other cooks?”

Luann left her bar bright and early to go on a jog and stop at the market. She locked up as usual and was on her way. She went on a few laps through the town in the twilight of the early dawn, coloring her hair almost a metallic brass. After finally finish her runsning, times in at a minute less than the day before, she stops at a bench as the sun pulls itself out of the dark horizon fully. The bench was occupied, but it was the only one around... She was sure the man wouldn’t mind! “Excuse me, sir? May I sit here?”

004 𝐓𝐋;𝐃𝐑Artaxerxes is happy to

is more than unhappy with the situation.
Looks like someone's feathers are ruffled.

┗ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ┛
Artaxerxes's smile returned, the same sort of puckishness to it that might've suggested a younger man. In his arms, you could practically feel the great rumble of laughter in his chest as the doctor spoke. In speak of his arms, his hands were actually quite...cold. Even under leather gloves, there was none of the softness that might've suggested flesh, though with his sleeves to his elbow you could see that there was quite a lot of that. Queerer still was just how warm the rest of his body was in comparison to these hands, a considerable degree higher than any human should've been. "Lovely! You're shaping up to be quite a character, o' friend. I mean that in a good way. I do hope I come to make the acquaintance of this Cordelia, if I live to see next morning's light. Oh! Entirely unrelated, but...say, do you folks have any archaically thin spiral staircases into secret towers here? I did not see any towers on my way in, but...manors of this era - though I would say the place has gone under recent renovation - tend to have such extremities in their grounds. Ah, but perhaps I should preface by saying that since the manor is in such condition that a tower like that would seem in frame for renovation as well, you see. Particularly since your servants' passageways are still intact." He went on and on, smiling wildly as he ducked under the doorframe, striding quite confidently over to the stairs. Though he ought to with such a frame and clicky dress-shoes, he made no sound of footsteps. Agrypnia fluttered from perch to perch on their way along, occasionally chattering in a tone that could mean nothing but ill-will. "Time depends on what company you keep, friend. Particularly in this world of ours. Oh. But. Onwards, then!" Now smashing through his record of distractibility for the day, he clicked back to the situation at hand and began up the stairs. His curiosity was not subtle; Artaxerxes was studying everything from the wallpaper to the molding styles, taking it in as they went. At one point, even, he ever-so-gently draped Franz over one of his shoulders to admire a set of thick velveteen drapes the hall of the upstairs. "Why, I didn't think that they manufactured such thick curtains of this style anymore. I wouldn't suppose the family here is a recent arrival to the states?"
