Agape tried to drag the conversation on before anything got too detailed. He wanted as much of the pack to be out of ear shot as possible. It was convenient since most of them were going on the hunt. Despite her words of not being worried about a fight with him, he could tell by her body language that she was. The care taker knew her too well. He knew her body language, her ticks, her underlying conversations she had through tone of voice. A deep growl rumbled through his chest.
"Do you forget that just as you know all about my history, I too know about yours? If you are going to make a threat, making one that will hold." his voice was thick and full of anger, she tried to threaten him with knowledge, but what he knew would make her an omega in her own pack. A threat from her really didn't phase him."Yes, Tempest, I know what I said. I stand by my words still. It is not my fault you fail to see the use of my suggestion."

Raoul's tail wagged a few times when her words lowered his stress. It felt better when
he knew he wasn't alone in this, but he had the female's support and help. "Thank you,"
he replied with relief in his tone. It took him a while to think before answering her
question, as he himself wasn't sure about it. A smaller group of hunters would surely
move faster, but there was no point in dwelling on 'what ifs'. "The territory is well
marked, some larger herbivores might scent us and stay away," He finally said, thinking
out loud "So I'd say we should head out of the territory first. If we have no luck there,
we can still get back. If we run out of time, we're safer within the borders," the male
spoke, looking at her, awaiting to hear her opinion about this.
He glanced at Treznor when he stated his idea. He agreed with Senka that the herd
probably wasn't there anymore, but everything was worth a try at this point "How
long ago have you seen them there? And how far is it?" Raoul asked Treznor. The lead
hunter remembered most of the places where elk herds usually wander around, but
every winter they moved somewhere else.

Nita's head rose when a loud howl echoed through the camp. She narrowed her eyes,
slightly disappointed that she couldn't continue her rest. The female got up and joined the
pack who stood around Tempest. She kept her distance from them, not really up for getting
too close.
After the alpha finished her speech, she sighed. The thought to join the hunt didn't even
cross her mind, she wasn't good at team work anyways. Besides, she'd most likely mess
everything up and make the hunt turn into one big failure. Nita just sat down, observing all
the wolves talking and getting ready. She decided to wait until it gets quiet when they leave,
so she'll be able to find a nice spot and have a nap.

▙xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▟ The brute barley looked up from his prize, a mix of blood and saliva dripping from his chin as he only gave Foalan a slight twitch of his ear as acknowledgment. He licked his lips and let out a long sigh as the male began to speak to him, his eyes slightly narrowing as the Lead scout almost talked down to him harshly.. It was infuriating having to deal with wolves like him now..
Foalan He said, mocking his tone as he spoke to him. You would know better than most anyone that the food around here has gotten short.. and that means even less food for the omegas.. The way your pack treats your omegas should put you all to shame. He snorted, licking his lips contently of the blood that stuck to his maw.
I feed from your scraps and you yourself have only eaten scraps recently.. The moment your little scrap of a kin said word, I left to get my own meal.. as a wolf should He snapped, his claws dug into the turkey carcass below him, his nose flared as he looked at Foalan eye-to-eye... something that most all wolves would see as challenging dominance, something that Cain was known for.. Something about him was always attempting to dominate others from the moment he stepped foot into the pack.. It was strange for a loner to be as dominant as he, and it did not matter what position the heard headed male was in.. Hunting with that pack would have simply gotten me only scraps again.. I am hungry. I will hunt. He growled, his nose slightly twitching as if he were to bare his canines at the Lead Scout.. The brute was hard headed but he wasent stupid, knowing more than to bare his canines at him. ▛xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▜𝒥𝓊𝓃𝒾𝓅𝑒𝓇

─── ADIRA─────────────────────────[ omega ] [ 4 years ] [ empathetic, gentle] [ crush; ? ] [ mentions - n/a] [ tags - open] [ form]
Adira has slept amongst the stars the previous night. She preffered it this way; even when it stormed and the rain saturated her pelt. She stretched out her forelegs, splaying her paws out in front of her, as she let out a yawn; her heavy black lips slid across the yellowed canines within her jaw, baring them at the clouded sky. The majority of the pack wolves had gone hunting, Adira presumed at the command of the alpha. She contemplated about joining the hunt, it could prove that she was of use to the pack, but Adira wanted to meet her new pack mates and befriend them rather than the pack just letting her stay because she was able to get them food. However, everyone seemed to have left Tempest and Agape to their business. Adira wanted to intervene, to avoid any possible bloodshed, but she was fully aware it was not her place. So instead, she stayed slouched against a fallen tree that lay at the border of the camp, her amber eyes watching.
─── LUCIUS─────────────────────────[ scout ] [ 3 years ] [ charismastic, can be stubborn] [ crush; ? ] [ mentions - tempest/agape ] [ tags - juniper ] [ form ]
Lucius lifted his head to the commotion between Tempest and Agape, they had butted heads in the past but not quite like this. He watched as his alpha's anger boiled within her, almost bubbling over the edge with every word that Agape retorted to her. He had guts. Tempest may only be a small wolf, but she had a temper and a sharp tongue that Lucius hoped he would never have to stand against. As the confrontation became more personal, it felt almost intrusive to be listening so he got to his feet and began to saunter away. He flicked his tail as he scoured the area for a place with a little less indignation between the pack. He left the hunting to the hunters, for that was their responsibility within the pack after all.
He peered into the omega den, they had been yet to have a role assigned to them and most likely hadn't been spoken to by much of the pack. For them to be successful and trustworthy members they must be investigated, spoken to. There was a young female, with a fluffed ashen pelt, sitting within the underground den 'Oh, hello, I haven't seen you before?' he spoke softly as to avoid frightening the young wolf.

Why did he have to be so irritating? Although the shell of the argument was rooted in a petty argument and some uncaring words, it was the physical changes in her lifestyle that had arisen that really upset her. Having someone who you did everything together with, and depended on so much for peace of mind and care, to tell you that you needed to find someone who could care for you in rank? Tempest knew it wasnt a personal jab at her, but it felt as if it was his way of saying he didnt want her anymore. Thats what upset her. Agape had no interest in having any power over the pack, which meant she would have to step down. Or, as he suggested, find someone who wanted the rank just incase something ever happened were she needed protection. Tempest spent many nights thinking about the dilemma, and the more time that past the larger the oscillation grew. When she lunged at him when the fight began, she decided it was best to walk away to cool down. That quickly grew into both of them avoiding each other, and the other wolf never approached. Which led to a boiling anger to form. "The Agape I met, and bonded with, wouldnt watch someone they cared for find a mate only for protection." Tempest spit, her tail flicking behind her in agitation. Although she was still mad, the more she ran it over in her head the more agitated she got.Not anger, but a mixture of frustration and stress. Her body tension eased, but it in no way mean the conversation was over. Tempest knew she needed to find someone to help run the pack, as in recent she had been under the weather. Not to mention her paw, which if used in the other wolves advantage, could cause her to lose a challenge. }

Foalan was in shock. Normally Cain was anything but personable, but today he was on a total roll. The brute pinned his ears back and let out a small snarl, stepping towards the other male. "Any wolf in this pack has a chance to prove themself an actual rank. You know very well the omega position is for new and difficult wolves. The only one who has created this scnerio is yourself Cain," he snarled towards the opposing brute. It was true, Tempest didnt enjoy having the role of Omega's in the pack, especially with the past she had. The rank was used mostly for new wolves who still needed to show a skill or interest in a particular rank within reason. Truthfully, if any Omega came to his sister and spoke of an interest for a rank, and demonstrated a want for the pack life, Tempest would place them there regardless of skill. There were few cases when the rank was used for wolves with attitude issues, but Cain was about half of them.To that day, Foalan had no clue why the other brute decided to join the pack. The brute took another step closer to the male, his hackles rising. As he spoke of his sister, the fuel of anger boied inside of him. "No one asked you to be in our pack Cain. Frankly, I dont think anyone would care if you left. You have a sour attitude, and no skill set to show other than a genuine hatred for everything. If you actually showed you could benefit our pack instead of be a detriment to it, there could have been a better rank for you. " Foalan took a deep breath and sat, his ears flicking back towards the attention of the brute infront of him. He had a good rank, and his sister was a tad harsh on him, so fighting an omega certainly would not help the situation, "Dont speak of your Alpha like that. Just because your incapable of being an asset to the pack doesnt mean there is an issue with ours."

▙xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▟ Even though the males voice was particularly soft when addressing her, Juniper jumped slightly at the sight of Lucius. His appearance was much alike her brother Cain but a bit smaller and Lucius had a more calming demeanor and a gentle approach when he walked.. Juniper swallowed hard as she looked at the male, she hadn't tried to socialize with anyone but Tempest since joining the pack and it showed.. much of the pack didn't even know of her existence unlike her bold brother whom made quite the show of himself..
Her smaller ears twitched, her nose raising to draw in the males scent.. something about the scent in male before her made her mind ring with familiarity.. that and his appearance made her awfully weary.
..Hello.. She whispered, her head lowering slightly in a submissive manner. Her honey colored eyes glancing up at him as to not make direct eye contact.. She was very strange in appearance with her odd peppered coat, she sat before him all fluffed with dew still slightly sticking to her fur.. It was strange to think that this little fae was even slightly related to her brother..▛xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▜ℂ 𝔸 𝕀 ℕ

I have no problem being an asset to this pack. In all honesty its in shambles as it is~ It seems to me that larger brutes are pretty needed to take down the larger prey around so your little ragtag team can even eat He huffed, lowering his head to grasp on one of the exposed bones, snapping it off to chew on contently infront of the other male. It was very apparent that the stubborn and cocky male did not do well with other males.. This was known ever since he had joined..
It is of your own arrogance that you keep me in an omegas position. You know you are a starving pack and yet you also know a very valuable hunter is being kept in an omegas spot simply because you arent able to handle how I do things~ He said, the bone snapping like butter in his teeth.
Your alpha is weak. Simply because you are her kin dosent mean you dont notice. Any one of these males could challenge her and take the alphas spot very quickly.. If you and her dont think even a newcomer can notice that, your pack is going to fall very quickly He said, his eyes narrowing.
I dont care if your pack want to stifle me out with such a degrading position, but just know that im a little smarter than you all think and a little more viable to your pack than you know. If I diddent think I was going to be of use somewhere, I wouldent have come here~ He said calmly.
I have kin as well, but I also know that she is of no use to me. The sooner that you realize not all has to be decided by a weak link in a pack, the better. I know how to raise a pack, im not the stupid brute that you make me out to be.. The moment that you do whats best for the pack and not following someone who dosent know much of anything about raising a pack, let alone herself, the better. He said, staring the male directly in the eyes again, this time not with aggression but one that was confident.

Foalan sighed, weary from listening to the other brute go on and on. Foalan in his life had only been part of two packs, but due to the previous pack's size, he knew this was just another angry brute. His parent's pack was large, compared to any pack Foalan knew of, and they were strict. The only reason Tempest was allowed to live was because their mother had done such a good job of hiding her deformity. He came from a pack where any weakness would be used against you, and pups were often left on lone cliffs in the cold. Wolves were killed for rank, for food and for looking at another wolf a certain way. That was why he and Tempest chose to run the pack the way they did. It was a calmer way of life, but still resembled the "old ways". If a wolf was challenged for position or rank, other wolves could not interfere. That was the largest similarity. But this wold in front of him, was just cold and harsh. It made Foalan uneasy, as something about him made his blood run cold. Watching how his sister would flinch at the approach of the male, and how uneasy she seemed whenever he was around. "Cain, I have no interest in listening to you go on about how you think you should be treated. No one is holding you hostage here. If you want to be treated like part of a pack, then act like part of the pack. Your sister is doing perfectly well, so obviously there nothing wrong with your bloodline, just you." Foalan stood and leaned back on his hunches to stretch, yawning as he did so. After speaking he turned his back to the other wolf, heading back towards the bushes before speaking in a calm tone. "If you have an issue with something do something about it, dont just whine and act selfish because your too weak to take action."Deep in the forest a lone bear wandered in the open snow, his pelt a stark contrast against the pearl white. The winter had been harsh to all creatures of the land, but for days he had smelt the pull of a herd of elk. The scent got stronger by the day, but so did other smells, especially of wolf. The most important thing to him was getting a meal that could satisfy him. It was too early in the season to hibernate still, but he knew if he did not eat sufficient amounts he would not even make it until that time.

Lucius responded with a snort of amusement as the small fae was startled by his presence, he took a small step towards Juniper, her golden eyes seemed to draw him in as he approached 'I apologise, I didn't mean to scare you,' he uttered with a small smile 'I just wanted to introduce myself, you don't seem to be very involved with the pack.' Lucius sat back onto his haunches to make his size appear slightly more equal to the smaller fae in front of him. Lucius tilted his head slightly and narrowed his deep hazel eyes, inspecting the females coat. It caused a feeling similar to déjà-vu to erupt within him and his curiosity about Jupiter grew even more.

The female smiled and nodded happily, knowing that she was able to comfort him at least a little bit. She listened to him speak and thought to herself. She thought over the consequences and nodded, "I think that would be a better idea. Our pack does mark borders every day so the scent would most likely scare away prey that could help the pack. I also believe we should leave the territory in search for food. I agree that if we find nothing out there, then we should come back and look around the territory. See if we had missed any prey wandering around." She smiled at him and looked back to Treznor as Raoul spoke to him. She flicked her ears as they walked on through the territory finally reaching the border, she could smell the scout's marks that were recently made. Her head lifted and she scented the air trying to see if there was anything dangerous that was around them. "We should keep up our guard. There are dangers outside of the pack territory, it's better if we stick to large parties." She looked to Raoul and took a deep breath to calm her racing heart. She hadn't stepped out of the territory in a long time and she knew there were more dangers out there than when in their own territory. She silently hoped for a peaceful hunt, but her instincts told her that something was going to happen and she wasn't going to tell Raoul what she felt.

Ekaitz listened in on the conversation between Senka and Raoul and decided to keep his mouth shut. He sniffed the air for anything that would direct him to a sign of prey, but just as Senka had said prey was scarce this winter. All he could smell was the soft scent of freshly fallen snow and the plants around him. He continued to follow the hunting party and began to walk beside Treznor. "Hey, your idea seemed pretty good. I bet Senka will try to help, he knows you are just trying to help the pack." He smiled at the male hoping to make him feel better. He continued to walk beside the male as they searched for any sign of prey, with no sign of luck.
