Kazuki’s kitsunebi floated over her head, providing a steady glow for her to view the titles of the various library books. She scanned the shelves, making sure every book was in order.Almost done! she thought with a small smile. But... She looked up to the upper shelves she couldn’t reach. Of course the shelves have to be so tall She smiled as an idea flashed into her head. She grabbed her star ball and balanced it in the air. She pushed herself up and balanced on it, then reached to the shelves, examining the books and shelving the disorganized ones.
Signing, she finished and leaped off the kitsunebi. As she gravefully landed on the ground, she noticed the nearby ladder. I am officially stupid... She sighed and shook her head as she stood up and dusted off her maid uniform.

Mark trekked softly through the forest in his aardvark form. He passed over a log with a little hop. Soon, he spotted the familiar form of his den. He crawled through the tight entrance into his home. It was a small cave underneath a large oak tree. The inside couldn’t fit a human easily, but it was cozy in his aardvark form. In one corner he had a shelf carved into the dirt with several pressed flowers and a few books on flora of various countries. In the opposite corner, he had a pile of human cloths and trinkets by a laid out blanket he used as a bed. And in the final corner, he had a bowl of water next to various food products. Sighing, he curled onto his blanket and slept.

male / Codie Elias Rigby / 19/ human/ reporter/ straight / location: cafe /tags: Open, Vanya

Codie sipped his coffee and leaned against the wall. His camera hung like a necklace around his neck, and he carried his laptop under his arm. His mind was flashing with ideas for his next story as the hot caffeine flowed through his veins, filling him with energy. Of course, Mr.Adams will never let me do any REAL stories, just more basic reports of civilian life, ugh...he shook his head.
Glancing around the world, he noticed a small boy staring at him. The boy had a look of someone much older, quietly analyzing everything about Codie. He repositioned himself and waves at the boy. Maybe I should do a report on how the youth here view some of our major political and social problems, that might be a laugh... he thought, his mind already laying out he scheme of the story.

Rai//dragon-cloud elemental//18//manor guest//tags: open, Adelia

Raijin had just recently moved in to stay in the manor after having been turned away at apartment complexes and inns because of his strange features-namely, his hair. I wasn’t as if he could control the small bits of lightning it produced when he was hungry, after all. In any case, he hadn’t been there long but had already found himself sprawled out on the ground right where a bit of sun streamed in through the window in one of the house’s many hallways. He didn’t actually see any of the glances sent his way either, so he was mostly undisturbed until he started hearing the clinks of dishes being thrown together in the kitchen.

He sat up with a small yawn and dragged his fingers through his very fluffy but very tangled white hair. It was no use brushing it considering how wind seemed to constantly sift through it anyway, but he felt that he should at least give the half-hearted attempt to comb through it. It didn’t end up working, as always.

Rai blinked softly once he registered the figure of a girl-a maid? and sat up curiously, watching all the while as she snatched up an apple and started heading towards a room he had yet to explore. Shortly after she left his sight, he glanced around the room he was currently in and got up to follow her. The human-turned-dragon had his fun sliding on the smooth floors with his socks on until he accidentally slid into the wall as he tried to turn and enter the ballroom after Adelia.

β€œWhoa...” The late teen breathed upon finally entering the ballroom, unaware that following someone might have been seen as rude. Instead he got distracted by the shining chandeliers and peered up at them with a large grin on his face.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

Carlos//Magician//17//manor guest//tags: Irene, Kiki, open

Carlos waved off the apology with a light chuckle, starting to walk over to the closest hallway to begin the tour. β€œOh, really, it’s fine. I’ve just never experienced the mythical world in real life until last year, so this whole time I’ve been a bit... overeager when I see someone I’m interested in. Er, not like- eh, you know what I mean.” He mumbled awkwardly, scratching his cheek in an effort to do something with his hands.

β€œI don’t think we have any other northern stone spirits here, but it is good to be proud of who you are. I’m sure some of the others would be excited to meet you too. Anyway, how’s the library sound for the first stop? Personally it’s in the run for my favourite room here.” The magician listened when Irene continued on about her species, frowning ever so slightly when he mentioned that there were a small amount of them left. He wondered what brought the numbers down so low, but the way the other cleared her throat made it obvious that it was a sensitive subject. β€œI’m sorry to hear that. If you end up getting in touch with one of your friends, I’m sure no one will mind if you invite them here,” He suggested hopefully, opening one of the doors to another segment of the house and holding it for her.

A quiet laugh rang from Carlos’ mouth at the gargoyle’s comment about liking him from the start. β€œI’m touched, thank you. I’m usually a bit awkward around others so I really appreciate your saying that. And these people really are more pleasant than outside.” He hadn’t really talked to too many of the people a lot, but from what he could tell they really were friendly. Irene would probably get along with them in no time.

At the last question, Carlos tilted his head to the side thoughtfully. β€œTo be honest... I don’t really know what I am. I grew up with humans until I decided to come here, so I’ve just been referring to myself as a magician. I can do a bit of magic on my own, and any spellbooks I think are fair game. Also I have a weird hole in my chest that kinda glows. I’ve been reading a lot about different mythicals but I haven’t seen anything that matches that description.”

He stopped talking once they reached a set of very big and very decorated doors. β€œOh, here we are. Maybe you could find a recent record about gargoyles here?” He wondered aloud, glancing back as he opened both doors simultaneously with his telekinesis. After taking a few steps, the magician noticed another figure out of the corner of his eye. β€œHey, Kiki? Is that you?” He called softly. Libraries did have the reputation of being a quiet place.

She laughed at his awkward remark sweetly, shaking her head reassuringly. "I do know what you mean. Don't worry, I'm not the best at conveying what I mean when I talk either- not everyone takes it the right way when you call them "darling" in every other sentence, darling." She ran her nimble fingers through her hair, momentarily showing her short, ivory horns before covering them up shyly when she realized they were visible.

She listed to him continue speaking, nodding her head excitedly at the notion of meeting new people. "The library sounds like a wonderful first stop! I have an affinity for books myself, the older ones give me a very homey feel- although I'm sure I'm not as old as some, I'm only 113." she laughed. "And I will definitely keep the thought of bringing gargoyles here in my mind- but let's stop dwelling on me, shall we? I need to be restricted or I'll end up gushing about myself all day!" she over dramatized the last sentence jokingly.

She listend to him further, tilting her head curiously when she heard he didn't know what he was, and raising her eyebrows at the notion of a seemingly inconspicuous glowing chest hole. "Well, it's perfectly fine to not know what you are. Better than knowing and thinking its boring." she said with a grin. "And with the array of qualities you have, when you do find out, I seriously doubt it will be boring."

She followed him into the library glancing around in wonder at the shelves apon shelves of books- some seemed ancient, some seemed new, some timeless. She had a feeling it would be hard to stop herself from missing shifts if she landed the job, with places like this to spend your time in. "A record on gargoyles? Well I wouldn't doubt it, in a place like this. This is amazing." she followed Carlos' voice to the girl in the distance, now dubbed Kiki. She could immediately recognize this girl as a mythical, though she had absolutely no idea what.

James Olson - 23 - Tags: Open - Location: Library
James had some free time today, unlike most. He liked to spend his days in the library, reading up on the fascinating secrets of the manor. He sat himself down on the leather armchair by the fire and began reading to himself. He heard voices of other guests and servants in the manor, though he didn’t really care. He thought about his brother, Cade, and if he had been ok since the last time he saw him. He seemed kind of depressed.

Cade Olson - 23 - Tags: Open - Location: Town Bench
Cade sat himself on a bench, eating some beef jerky. He had an unmistakeable scowl on his face as he ate. He watched the pidgeons by his feet coo and peck at his shoes. β€œGet off!” He hissed, waving his foot around as to scare them off. The birds flew away and he was left, a bit angerier than before, still chewing on the jerky.

Kazuki’s ears perked at the sound of her name and she quickly peeked around the corner of a bookshelf. Oh! Who is that? she thought curiously. Dusting off her uniform once more,Kiki gracefully walked over to Carlos and this new woman, her nine tails flowing behind her like ribbons and her kitsunebi floating above her head. Quickly looking her over, she determined this new mythical must be some kind of stone spirit, a gargoyle perhaps. She’d have to double check with some of the mythical guides...
β€œYes, sir?” she said softly with a little curtesy. β€œHow may I be of service to you?”

anya’s smile dropped once the man's expression changed into something sour. by now she should be used to it as her grandpa, vanya, and grandma (sometimes) would give her that look when she did something unladylike. but when it was dealing with a possible impatient costumer, she wasn’t all that used to it. anya slid down from the bar stool and nabbed the keys off of the counter before heading over towards the display case where the man was standing. she inserted the key and unlocked the casing. anya opened the door grabbed the items that the man wanted before placing them gently down on the counter. they were great choices actually, but it was an odd color theme. after she placed the items on the counter, anya ducked back down in the casing and lifted up the heavy bottom that covered many more things such as bubble wrap and boxes. she grabbed three different sized grey-purplish boxes that belonged to each piece of jewelry along with a cloth and cleaner. she placed all the items on the counter and started to clean the pieces of jewelry. not that they were clean, just to make it more shiny. she shouldn’t be doing this job but her grandma was upstairs still getting around. once anya finished the necklace, she placed it in its proper box and slid it over to the man before doing the same with the earrings and bracelet. now the price. math isn’t my cup of tea, rather vanya’s but i guess i can see what i can do, she thought as she sat back up on the barstool. β€œoriginally the price is thirty for each- so that would be ninety. but since i wrongfully wasted your time, i can bring it down to...” she looked down at the counter, wondering what could be a reasonable price for her and the man. maybe fifteen would do?...no. maybe fifteen for each of the three? β€œi can take fifteen each for the three....if that’s okay with you...you can ask for a lower price...if you want... sorry.” she muttered softly, feeling awkward for doing this. it looked simple when her grandma tended the counter, and all she had to do was carefully arrange the jewelry to look nice. but now her grandma was still upstairs, and the only person that could help her was vanya. but he was with their grandpa, which was a good thing as vanya would probably charge the man a higher price... which he has done before with a different costumer. which that costumer would tell at them for highway robbery, whatever that meant, before heading out of the store in a fiery rage. something that she wouldn’t want to see this costumer do.

after he finished the piece of the roll that he had, he noticed that the one who he has been staring at waved at him, he decided not to be rude and waved back. he placed his hands on the table before taking one of the napkins that rested by his plate. wiping his hands off, the boy glanced up at the man, he wanted to say something but since he was too far, and he didn't feel like getting up, vanya just sat there, now debating. if i go up there, i would probably lose my seat and my food, he glanced at the cinnamon roll before looking back up at the man, but if he came over here, i wouldn't lose both. but how can i get him over here? after much thought, vanya waved him over towards him, wondering if that would work instead.

Carlos//Magician//17//manor guest//location: Manor Library//tags: Irene, Kiki, James(?), open

Carlos laughed about her comment on being able to ramble on about herself. β€œWell, have you considered writing a book of your own? I’m sure the life of a gargoyle will at least catch some attention, plus if anyone asks you something then you can just flip to a page.” He laughed.

The grin that settled on his features was genuine once Irene talked of the adventure of not knowing what he was. It did help cheer him up, though he was still personally dying of curiosity. β€œI suppose you’re right about that, but I still came here to find answers to that. In any case I’ll just wait for someone similar to show up.” He ended with a chuckle.

The dark-haired teen glanced back at the gargoyle’s awe of the books. β€œRight? I bet there are a ton dating back to ancient times, and from all around the world. I like to refer to the library as the treasure trove of the manor.” Carlos seemed to perk up a bit when Kiki noticed them, waving her a greeting. He had already shouted a bit before and didn’t want to do it again, especially since he noticed another guest half hidden by another bookshelf.

β€œHey Kiki! I just wanted to introduce you to Irene. She was interested in a job here, but I couldn’t find any of the Stokers. Or anyone in the hallways, really.” He explained quietly, stepping out of the way so the newcomer could have a better view of the kitsune.

”Pleased to meet you, Kiki.” She said warmly, reaching out her hand and looking over the maid’s form. She had nine tails, whisker-like markings, and many other distinctive features that reminded Irene of-

β€œKitsune?” She questioned. β€œIf you don’t mind me asking. You’re a mythical with Asian descent, I can tell.” She rubbed he back if he really neck, hoping she wasn’t making the newcomer uncomfortable. This was a lot to take in at one time, but Irene was near bursting with excitement and marvel. If this was just one staff member living here, what other amazing mythicals might she encounter??

wandering through the large and empty hallways of the manor stella found herself with nothing to do. being only a resident of the manor she had no job to fulfill or any orders to take. she was free to do as she wished however there wasn't much that she wished to do. she could go horseback riding but the horses got skittish around her. they most likely sensed that she's a predator. she could hang out in the garden but there wasn't much to do in the garden beside smell flowers. if she wanted she could head out to town but she tended to be too suspicious and wary of the towns people. she wasn't too comfortable around humans. so she figured her only other options were be suck up in her bedroom or wander the manor. not wishing to be in her room all day that left stella with only one option. explore the manor in boredom. being new to the manor she still hadn't discovered all that it beheld. tracing her hand along the wall stella shuffled through the music on her phone going through several options. there was so much music to choose from that it took a few moments before she settled on some of monster and men and tucked her phone into her back pocket. as she traced her hand along the wall her fingers came across a door knob. pausing stella faced the doors that she had yet to discover. with a shrug she turned the knobs and pushed open the doubles door. the room on the other side wasn't what she had expected. a large library with floor to ceiling bookshelves throughout the room taking up almost all of the space. the vampires eyes grew wide and she stepped into the room. it was huge and opulent ,, much like the rest of the manor. the only other person she saw within the library was a man in a chair reading. he looked kind of sad but he was no concern to stella at the moment. winding her way through the endless rows stella plucked a book from a shelf and headed back to the sitting area. she plopped herself down on a chair and rested her feet atop a table. she set down her water bottle full of blood next to her feet and opened up the book and began to read.

thankfully after the unnaturally long pause for his answer katheryne didn't ask why it took him so long to respond. he wasn;t about to tell a stranger that he almost forgot his own name and who he is. explaining that would bring about too much anxiety for he would worry that it would happen again and he was unsure if she would understand the whole "spirits fading" thing which even he didn't fully grasp. however instead she just stated her name. for her it took no time between question and answer. she spoke her name confidentially because she knew it well. in a way evan was jealous of her. jealous in the way that she could so effortlessly remember the simplest things that evan had to think hard about. jealous that she was alive. jealous of many things. trying to push that feeling aside the spirit focused on trying to get a conversation along. figuring small talk would be tedious evan jumped right into it since he didn't want to ask any imposing questions. do you live in town or are you just just a passerby? he inquired with a tilt of his head. that was a good starting off question right?
