"Requited Love" -- SF 50

name: Anteros
name meaning: A god in Greek mythology, representing requited love, and punishing those who were not interested in love or not returning other people’s love.
gender: Non-binary
sexuality: Asexual
personality: Quite the opposite of how he appears, Anteros is actually a kind flit. He prefers solitude over being with others, and he's quite urbane. Anteros isn't that of sad, mad, angry, or aggressive. He's much rather relaxed, charming, and a little stubborn. Sometimes he'll act like he's better than someone, but afterwards he apologizes, if he catches it. He really loves to help others, especially with love, though he does get upset if others reject love, or someone who loves them-- which leads to me saying he's got more than one personality. When he finds out someone rejects love, and ignores someone who loves them, Anteros can become very hostile, and he'll not hesitate to find ways to make them see that they are wrong, by punishing them. What he does isn't exactly known, but he's a whole new flit when someone isn't interested in love and doesn't return love to someone who loves them.

A figure slowly trudged through the snow, their paw crunching the icy ground. A leg was held close to their chest, as if it was wounded. Another dragged in the snow as the other two pulled the creature on. They released an exaggerated gasp, hissing at the cold intake of air. They didn’t seem fond of the coldness, and they seemed like they’d almost given up. They didn’t seem to be used to the cold, or the struggle of getting out of it and making it to warmth. They stopped in their tracks. Lifting their head gingerly, they sighed, examining how much they had to walk; they were far from the warm glow. The creature craved the warmth that was ahead, but the cold was overwhelming.

He continued shakily, his eyes dull and full of guilt and regret. He had done bad things in life, he chose to do bad things. He had such a negative mindset, and he could have chosen a better path in life, but he didn’t. Instead he selfishly chose to ignore love and chose a dangerous path that he assumed would help him. He knew what he did was bad, but he still did it. His friend rejected to help him in any good way, they gave him an ultimatum, a bad one. He entrusted only a few people to know his secret. One person helped him, one person kept him going. He felt honored to have someone as great him to help him, but he didn’t believe he deserved it, any of it. The friend was a light, a beacon of hope.

The reason why he didn’t give up yet, succumb to the abyss of depression, was this one flit. The only one who proved to be a keeper, he proved to be someone worth the time to be saved. The struggling flit couldn’t believe it, someone actually cared for him, they loved him. The hurt figure sobbed, they were afraid of losing that one flit, the one who really helps him. He believes that he’s annoying, pathetic, needy.. that he isn’t fit enough to have someone like him love a sad mess like him. But he tells him that he loves him, that he’s worth his time. He does so much for him, he did so much to help him.

The flit loves him, he loves his beacon of light, his knight in shining armor. Anteros will never forget the time a flit saved him from darkness, with love. Which is why he believes in it so passionately now. It’s why he spreads it as much as he can. Anteros was broken, he was a mess who didn’t believe he could be loved; but he was proved wrong by his savior. Crusader, the green flit who stuttered occasionally and who had issues seeing green and red correctly. Anteros wanted to be with him, Crusader, but something pulled him away. Something scared away the green flit, and that was the side of Anteros that wasn’t the kind and caring flit he knew; it was a different flit, a harsh and cold one. Crusader didn’t reject the flit for that, but the flit pushed him away. Antreros didn’t want to hurt Crusader, so he kept him away from him. As much as he hates flitz that don’t accept love, he himself can’t accept love when he fears that he’ll hurt them.

• I'd give out breedings to him + flitlings every now and then so people have a chance at getting a flit with his traits

• I plan to make him a charming lil' boy who wants to find love and spread love to others and punish those who reject it, but is scared to love someone in case they see the side of him that makes him more harsh than nice
• He'd be a big time player of cards, he loves to play Uno, Garbage and War. He can get very competitive with it, so beware.
• Anteros would be a big boi who won't let others be picked on, he's like a big bro to everyone he likes
