agape caretaker || tags:; no one in particular
Probably not speaking seemed to be a bad judgement. Despite the months of heated glares and gruffs, they had hardly spoken a word to one another. Why would this day be any different from any of the last. Heavens only knew why it was different, but it was. The verdant eyes of the Alpha locked onto his, not his goal, but thats what happened. She must have mistake his grunt of thinking as something far more... Negative. The lock of their eyes was something tempestuous. Both a feeling of rage and desire sparked to life in the furnace of his heart. For such a small she-wolf, her fire to challenge a male literally twice her size was something that took courage he admired.
Tempest didn't get too close, and Agape knew why. Agape could easily out her about her injury, and that alone would be enough to take her in a fight. A fight was something to be strongly avoided between the two if possible. That course of action however did not appeal to how he felt about Tempest. Yes, the two had been fighting for a few moons now, but he still cared about the older wolf. Would he admit that to her? Of course not. That might just make her angrier than she already was.
A reaction rippled through the white brutes body, almost visible under his thickening pelt as it cascaded down his body and finished out in a flick of his tail. His golden eyes switched from a calm and gentle sun rise to a burning hot fire. It took every bit of self control he could muster to keep his teeth from baring out of his skin. He did not move other than the flick of his tail, he just watched her intently as he thought of what to say to the Alpha. This was a time to pick his words wisely.
"It would seem, Alpha," he started in a rich throaty voice, adding strong emphasis to 'alpha,' "That you mistook my reaction of consideration for one of a challenge." It took everything the caretaker had to keep the growl deep in his chest from echoing out in his words. "Which ever attitude you're speaking of was one you created on your own." Agape's voice was thicker, a bit huskier now as it cleared up. Of course the attitude she created was his way of referring back to months past when she lashed out at him for trying to help her. He had only wished to aid her, and she reacted a bit... Negatively to his help. Agape didn't take kindly to being shut down the way she did to him.

▙xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▟ It was cold.. just like every morning. The strange weather had recently been able to bite through Junipers thick coat to bring her to a very uncomfortable awakening.. Dewdrops glimmered in her fur, making her coat so much heavier than it already was.
She slowly opened her sleep strained eyes, the glint of amber and yellows shone in the small jewels set in her skull, perceiving all that was around her in the thick haze of sleep.. The omega den empty, Jax and Cain already far gone doing god knows what in the pack.. Her peppered coat rippled as she slowly moved her muscles underneath the heavy coat she bared, letting out a long yawn.
The fae let out a long sigh, stretching her paws to rid of the ache of being so still in the night, standing to her paws and swiftly shaking the dew from her fur, causing it to be tufted and frayed in every which direction. She smiled slightly, sitting back on her haunches and her tail giving a small wag at the slight amusement of her fluffed coat.. It was rare for the quiet fae to express herself much with others around, even in a den with only two other wolves, one of which she has known all her life, it was hard for her to even sleep around her new pack-mates~ Not much was known about Juniper, she was more of a shadow compared to her brothers powerful personality.. No one had really confronted the timid fae since her joining. ▛xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▜ℂ 𝔸 𝕀 ℕ

▙xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▟ Yellow peered through the thickly shrubbed area.. it was quiet. A slue of colorful plumage slowly emerged from a near break in the foliage. The sight of feathers in front of him made the brutes mouth water uncontrollably.. ever since joining the lowly pack he had barley scraps to eat..
What a disgusting way to live.. He thought to himself, knowing full well that the omegas in every pack ate last.. He was disgusted by his portions and even meager items to choose from.. The moment that the small weakling of a fae had spoke that a hunt of any ranking was arranged, Cain was gone..
I used to eat like a king.. The brute thought to himself, anger fueling his hunt as he stood, waiting for whatever he could.. until now..
A turkey..
The brute burst through the bushes, a blur of white and yellow streaked through the air before a loud squealing was heard from the large bird..
At last.. a meal.. He growled to himself as his lips finally tasted blood after being starved for so long.. what had he gotten himself into with joining another pack.. The blissfull moment only lasted moments before Cain had devoured everything under his paws, feathers drifted off in the wind and a long sigh left the males chest.. He missed this. The brute knew full well that a large hunt was arranged between any wolf that had wanted to run off like scared little dogs who had no patience to muster, but Cain had wanted no part in running with them.. They had no idea on what he was capable of..
The male shook his head, licking off some of the blood from his maw as he rose back to his paws, his stomach satisfied for once since joining the dreaded pack.. Why was he still there..? Was it really worth it.. ? He snarled to himself, knowing full well that he had to make his way back..

Tempest huffed and smiled, “oh dear Agape,” She spoke quietly but pointedly as well. “I know there was no challenge. I’m not worried about a challenge about you,” ok that was a lie “but for for many moons you have continued the same silence towards me, and regardless of whatever past we may have had it is unacceptable. I remind you that you are in my pack. I KNOW your history Agape, more than any other wolf here, and I’m sure you don’t want secrets leaking.” She said angrily. A wolf who had once been her best friend, and possibly more than that shut down because he had a tendency to talk a bit too little for what he wanted. It was difficult to manage a relationship with a wolf who was too inverted to speak the obvious truth of a matter. Implying she needed an alpha male to take care of her. Foalan let out a small chuckle. The pack had began to get worried about the weather, and often the sense of dread seemed imminent. He knew many wolves were wondering what they could do in the upcoming weeks, but truthfully there was nothing they could. Could they tell the goddess of snow to find another forest? Could they give birth to rabbits and elk for them to hunt? Foalan wasn't the optimist in the pack, and over the year since the pack's creation he had only gotten more and more depleted of will. The brute shook out his fur and wiped his paws against the small rock pebbles of the bank before speaking. "There is little we can do to prepare. At this time of winter there are few threats of intruders, so if you would like to i will grant you permission to go hunting later when my sister gives word." }
At Tempest's call her nodded towards Ekatiz to follow as he padded towards the clearing, and sat among his pack. At the end of her dialogue, he let out a soft howl in response to his sister's before nodding toward Ekaitz, "you are free to join them as you wish." He watched as his pack entered the forest before turning to his sister and chuckling, "you sound like mother," Foalan stated before turning back towards the pack, flanking behind to ensure safe travels.

- Orabelle watched at Tempest went off with Agape, sensing the heavy aura that surrounded the two. The last fight they had was still fresh in Belle’s mind, and she wasn’t intending to get in the middle of their quarrels. At Mhiairi’s voice, she turned to the female. “Yes, I think I’ll come along. The mud is slippery.” She said. In fact, she just wanted to get away from Tempest, who seemed to be the root of her anxiousness. The fresh air would be good for Orabelle, even if she wasn’t going to be much help in the actual hunting aspect.

- Jax’s eyes widened with surprise. He hadn’t been allowed on a hunt since he’d arrived, and the Beta’s invitation threw him off guard. Though his response was snappy, he didn’t bother to hide the gratefulness in his tone. “Of course I’m capable. I was the best hunter in my pack, you know” He shifted on his large paws, eager to get out of camp and prove himself. He watched for Timber’s lead, not wanting to rush ahead and risk looking too desperate. However, deep down, Jax hoped this would be enough to get the Alpha to recognize him as the valuable wolf that he was.

Senka | Female | Rank: Hunter | Tags: Raoul, Hunting PartySenka looked up at Raoul and nodded, "Yeah, we wouldn't have the protection of the pack out there, but I believe if we got a large enough hunting party everything would be okay." The female thought for a moment, should she go with him? She didn't really have anything else she had to do except for place the rabbit into the food pile, so she might as well join him. "I would gladly tag along to speak to Alpha. Thank you for asking." With that, she picked up the rabbit and waited for him to lead the way. Once they made it Senka placed the rabbit on the prey pile and sat in front with the rest of the pack joining in to listen to what was to be said. Her tail wagged quickly knowing that they didn't even need to ask for permission to leave the pack territory. She stood up quickly and walked back to Raoul to hear the plan for this next hunt. "So how will we be doing this Raoul?" She asked the male softly counting the wolves who had joined in for the party.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXEkaitz | Male | Rank: Scout | Tags: Hunting PartyThe pure white male, nodded in agreement, "I guess you are right about that. The best we can do is just try to be careful of times to come." His ears perked up at the mention of hunting for the pack and he began to wag his tail subconsciously. He had been hunting and was pretty good at it, though he preferred the life of a scout. He probably would have been a hunter if he hadn't of hoped to be a scout. He followed Foalan to the pack meeting and listened to Tempest speak of the next hunting party. Ekaitz nodded to Foalan and thanked him as he walked towards the others who would be joining the hunt. He was excited and knew that there would be at least some prey to be caught on this hunt.

The multi colored wolf inwardly rolled his eyes at Jax's comment about being the best but said nothing and instead made his way over to where the participating wolves where gathering. He shook the small drops of water that had gathered on his pelt when he was talking to Jax and then turned around to see if the older wolf had followed him when he noticed Mhairi and instinctively he narrowed his eyes. While he didn't have anything against the she-wolf, he was well aware of her competitive nature and that she is potentially a stumbling block in his way to alpha. Luckily she wasn't likely to challenge any time soon if she was smart.

Valor gave an offended scoff when Aidan purposely flicked her with his tail but she was dramatic enough so he would know it didn't bother her.
"Well what if I was to say that snow is cold? " Valor challenged back as she followed Aidan when she realized he was waiting on her. "And before you say it's not always cold you better prove it." She cut in before he could say anything else about it.

He smiled gladly that she agreed to join him in the conversation with Tempest. It will be
nicer if they do it together, it wouldn't also look like he was the only one who was thinking
about heading out of the territory. There were high chances the alpha would disagree. It
was a risky move for the pack's hunters, especially when the pack was almost starving. He
himself wasn't eating enough these days, but his priority was to feed the pack first, then
think about his stomach. After all, it was his job.
He nodded to Senka once again and walked off towards the alpha's den. The brute waited
for the huntress when she stopped by the food pile to put the hare there. Then his ears
and head shifted towards Tempest when he heard her howl. He glanced at Senka questioningly,
wandering what could this be about, before his gaze locked on the alpha again.
He took a deep breath through his nostrils when their eyes met, which meant that he was
going to be the one in charge. The brute waited for her to finish. He knew this was going
to be hard, he had no idea how to lead such a large group of wolves whose skills he didn't
know. When he was hunting with other hunters, each of them knew what to do. How would
this be handled this time? Raoul faced Senka when Tempest got off the rock. "I hope it will
go well," was all he told her worriedly before looking around at the pack members "Whoever
is willing to go, we should leave immediately, so that we return before darkness comes," the
brute spoke loud enough for the wolves to hear, repeating one more time the alpha's words
to be back before dusk. Then, he trotted off, heading into the dense forest with his nose
already scanning the air.

Nita's head rose when a loud howl echoed through the camp. She narrowed her eyes,
slightly disappointed that she couldn't continue her rest. The female got up and joined the
pack who stood around Tempest. She kept her distance from them, not really up for getting
too close.
After the alpha finished her speech, she sighed. The thought to join the hunt didn't even
cross her mind, she wasn't good at team work anyways. Besides, she'd most likely mess
everything up and make the hunt turn into one big failure. Nita just sat down, observing all
the wolves talking and getting ready. She decided to wait until it gets quiet when they leave,
so she'll be able to find a nice spot and have a nap.

The male wolf looked over at his alpha before he walked over to Raoul. He flicked his tail to the side as he mutters. "I guess I will join your hunting. I just found a few spots that look like the large elk and their herds could be. I do have to say it seems like a good hiding spot for the small herds or even where some of the small babies could be. " The brute flicked his tail as he watched the male and female hunter walking towards the exit of the pack's center. He soon flicked his tail before he walked towards them. His tail flicking to the side before he lowers his head a bit as he looked away from the group. He soon grumbles a bit as he knew the alpha wouldn't have agreed to his idea. He lets out a small sigh before he pushed on ahead a bit. He knew that not a lot of wolves listened to him much because they didn't notice him unless he is upset or in a bad mood.

Senka smiled softly, "Well, you are a great lead hunter. I bet it will be great. and besides, I'm here if you ever need help." Her tail wagged slightly hoping she was able to comfort him just a little bit. Senka followed close to his right flank, deep in thought. "Will we be leaving the territory or will we try to find more areas that may hold prey?" She asked him as she trotted up next to him, scenting the air for anything. She flicked her ear back listening to Treznor's idea. Senka sighed, "Treznor I don't believe they would be there still. Prey has been scarce since this winter began." She then looked to Raoul, "But if Raoul thinks that it could work out maybe we could head there first?" She tilted her head in thought trying to decide if they should risk the time to search for those areas that may or may not have enough prey for the pack.

Ekaitz listened in on the conversation between Senka and Raoul and decided to keep his mouth shut. He sniffed the air for anything that would direct him to a sign of prey, but just as Senka had said prey was scarce this winter. All he could smell was the soft scent of freshly fallen snow and the plants around him. He continued to follow the hunting party and began to walk beside Treznor. "Hey, your idea seemed pretty good. I bet Senka will try to help, he knows you are just trying to help the pack." He smiled at the male hoping to make him feel better. He continued to walk beside the male as they searched for any sign of prey, with no sign of luck.

After the pack had dispersed Foalan had began his daily trek around the parameters. Although he was "lead scout" his daily walk had nothing to do with it. Nothing interesting ever happened in their small pack, and with the pack laying so deep in the woods, in between two large mountains, there was little worry of opposing packs. He and Tempest had chosen the location for the pack because it was so far out from any others, so secluded there was freedom and piece of mind. Thats truthfully why he chose to be a scout. It was almost a freeing role in the pack. Of course if anything ever perked interest he would immediately go see, but for the most part his days were spent relaxing and wandering. Enjoying the scenery. As the male approached a empty clearing he heard the footsteps of another creature, and perked his attention towards the smell of another male. Cain. Foalan walked through the bushes on the edge of the clearing and nodded towards the brute, his tail flicking back and forth with interest. "Cain," He spoke poltely, but yet did not let his dominance over the opposing wolf falter. Cain was an omega for a reason in this pack. After joining he had no interest in being part of the rest, but merely did as he pleased. Full of potential though. Strong and fast, cunning. Yet none of those skills were put towards the benefit of all. "I see you decided to...do a little hunting on your own, the hunting party not suit your skillset?" He asked, although his tone was harsh. Another day Cain had gone off on his own.
