A rolling ball crashed into Paprika and she leapt in fear. It was just a Beauceron pup; of a few months of age. Paprika began to, instinctively, scurry away to a quiet corner, but instead she forced herself to mutter a quiet, "Hello." It was barely audible, but it was something. The pit bull hadn't had any meaningful interactions (or any at all) during her time so far at the shelter. Paprika couldn't get used to the barks of dogs, whines, meows, clatters, footsteps, and so many humans! Everywhere! Children, screaming, pulling her ears. Paprika had already bit a child once when he painfully yanked her ear. She spent most of the time in her enclosure, a concrete room with a fence, towards the back of the shelter. Hanging on the fence was a blanket that prevented humans from scaring her too much. Paprika stared down at the pup and awaited a response.

he got up and walked to reign.
"I got to go see you later... by the way if you dont want any of your pups ill take them off your hands!" he said as he left them be.

Mocha pawed at her cage door, but it didn't open. She backed away into the corner, she could see the other cats that were here. It was the cat section after all. Mocha lowered to the ground and hissed to herself.

He walked up to her and started to purr.
Then he started walking in circles around her still purring.

Mocha saw a cat that wasn't in a cage. Mocha pressed herself against her cage, and spun around. She meowed at the cat until he looked up at her. She then pawed nervously at the cage.

Looking down at the pup, Paprika managed a nervous smile. "Oh, it's, it's okay." Paprika knew that a pup couldn't really hurt her - not that a pup this cute and fluffy would want to. Paprika spoke softly, "Hi, I'm Paprika. What's your name?" The interaction nearly had her shivering in fear, but she hoped no other dog could notice. After all, pit bulls were supposed to be fierce, brave warriors, the lion dogs. But all Paprika felt like was the cowardly lion.

reign saw her daughter interacting with a nervous looking pitbull. she walked towards them, her tail raised. she could tell this female was a subordinate one, she was practically shaking in fear, at the sight of reign's tiny, fluffy daughter! reign strode towards the pit bull. "hello, there." she said, keeping her dominant pose. "i see you've met my daughter. come, rose." she said, beckoning towards her daughter. she knew this dog was a nervous one who posed no threat, but fear could make any dog dangerous and she didn't want to take chances with her precious puppy.

"good, me goodest puppy ever! bestest puppy to family, family bestest and me bestest." he spun around in happy circles. hearing xena's threat, he bared his small teeth, "i leader, i is alphas because i is powerfull and strongest and biggesestest!" he charged towards xena, almost making it until, stumbling over his large puppy paws, he tripped and summersaulted onto his face. not letting this get him down, he picked himself up, gave xena a pomptous look with as much dignity as he could muster, and charged her again. as xena jumped and charged away, royal roared after her, "ima getting you!" he squealed
