peace has reigned over pern for the last 500 years, the red star having never made its return after th
e last pass. everyone believed the fight was over, the war against thread having been won. weyrs hav
e dwindled in size to a mere handful of once mighty dragons and can barely fill one of the six weyrs t
hat had once been almost overflowing. over the years, the holdfolk have rebelled against tithing to t
heir respective weyrs, claiming there is no need to for they no longer need their protection against t
hread. one could imagine the horror-filled surprise that filled the people of pern when the red star o
nce again shown brightly in the sky once again. the holdfolk begged for forgiveness and sent tithe to
try help restore what had once been a great population of dragons, but the golden queen is old and s
ick with age, unable to make the most of the much needed mating flights. on her last ever flight, the
queen flew low and clutched only 10 eggs, but one was a queen. the hatchling has since grown and to
ok to the skies on her own flight, producing a staggering 38 eggs, one being a golden queen egg to hel
p the population. the riders are all ready as thread falls, ready to do their duty as protectors of pern.

• all characters must have a form, including dragons and fire lizards, but they can be small as long as it has the basics such as name, age, color, bonded person, and a short personality. histories for dragons and lizards are welcome but not necessary since they will mostly be the same as their rider/person.
• yes, gays and other lbgt+ characters are allowed! see the info in the discussion thread for more on this subject as it is limited to only 2 dragon types [blue and green] and can only rarely go farther to a brown. never are gold and bronze riders lbgt+, that's book canon, not my doing.
• please read all the info provided in the discussion thread before asking questions or posting forms as a lot of questions may be answered there.
• if you still have questions and can't find the answer in the info or just want more info about the series, please feel free to ask me! i actually love answering questions about this series since it's by far my favorite of all time and love to share info about it.

• the weyrleader's word is law, but the weyrwoman may override it when necessary
  
• obey all orders given by a goldrider unless it goes against those given by the leaders.
  
• never harm a dragon nor a rider, this is the most absolute law.
• respect everyone equally, more a guideline than a law.
• disputes will be settled by both of the weyrleaders, if they are unable to settle the issue, a supervised duel will be allowed between the fighting pair, the first to draw blood wins so there isn't any serious damage.
• the weyr is a safe place for those who need it, don't ruin it for them.
• everyone must respect the dragons, rider or not, disrespecting one can lead to severe punishment.
