Consider a well-made apple pie. One of the first things you may see is what appears to be a firm crust holding the pie together. If you glance further up, you can watch the sugar crystals glisten from all angles, maintaining the sweet mien that is to be expected of it. The top, decorated with lattices and adornments, presents to you just the slightest hint of what pie flavor this particular pie may be. However, despite the appearances, you may never truly know what is inside until you dig a little deeper. Aivi, as she likes to believe, is much the same way. Perhaps a little less flaky, though.

Aivi is an impeccably sweet girl, with an even larger sweet tooth. For her, baking pies has been a hobby since she was young. To create an impossibly new thing by stirring things together and heating them up? It's practically magic! "Magic", indeed, is what those who have tasted her pies call her. Yet, Aivi refuses to make this hobby into a job, instead heading off to a little university to pursue a degree in education. Despite this however, on finals week, she may or may not have stressed-baked enough pies to fill up all the counters and refrigerators in the kitchen.

To those she meets, Aivi is friendly enough, if not a little distant and rigid. Not unlike the pie crust, she protects herself by creating a shell. Once that crust is gone though, once someone has cut in just a little bit, the real flavor emerges, and Aivi blooms like a sunflower in the summer. She is protective, defensive, and stubborn. But she is also the softest shoulder to cry on, the loudest laugher, and the world's best hugger. And if you were to come away from those hugs smelling just a bit like cinnamon and nutmeg, well, that wouldn't be too surprising.
