I would like this to be a one on one role-play, so the first person to post shall be the only one to join in. I would like only a literate person to join in, meaning that you should be able to get at least two good paragraphs going in each post, and correct grammar and spelling is required. I will be picky about this, so please only reply if you feel you meet my standards! xD I would like to use this post to develop my new character.

The sun beat down upon the deserted, sandy shores of California.
It was a restricted area where one lonely house sat off to the side, tall grasses swayed about, and the seagulls cackled above.
A girl bent over on the shore, long, light blonde hair blew across her face as she stooped to pick up a spiraled seashell.
Eyes just like the sea glowed happily, as she dug her toes into the warm sand.
This was her home, this is where she was most happy.
She knew the paths of this forgotten beach, she could sit for hours on the shore, just humming to herself as her hands brushed the sand.
Living here with just her mother, step-father, and younger step-sister, she didn't see much of any kids her age.
Her mom home schooled her, and she was nice as far as mothers went.
But there was one small, well, maybe not so small, issue.
Her step-dad.
Just the site of him made her legs feel like jelly, made an ocean stir up in her stomach.
To put it simply, she was terrified of him, with reasons too.
Her mother either didn't notice these things, or she was too worried about loosing another man to speak up.
This place though, this was where she could go away, this is where she was never bothered.
Tank top flowing in the wind, she spun around in a neat circle, arms spread out wide.
A crunch of sand told her that she was not alone.
Gasping, she snapped around and held her arms around her stomach.
At first thought, she assumed it was her step-dad, but to her relief it was not.
"Hey," she called out in an uneasy voice. "This beach is restricted, you can't be out here."
