Mom did say to call the store and let them know we would be leaving town. But dad doesn’t know I’m getting both versions. So if I do call I have to wait until dad isn’t around. So maybe I can call on Monday.

Yeah, the hold is 48 hours here, so I'd recommend contacting the store in advance to let them know you'd like them to hold it for a couple of days (or, if you ~happen~ to be near another location, they may be able to transfer the preorder, but if you're not guaranteed to be able to visit, then leave this option).

I'm getting real excited for mine~ Slowly, slowly, loading up gift cards all ready... Not sure when in the day I'll pick it up, I volunteer Friday afternoons so it'd probably be around then, might do beforehand and then sneakily try to update/transfer stuff while it's quiet (well, luckily it's back-office, so it's not like there'd be loads of people around anyway), though if my sister is in college that day I could grab it just after the store opens, then have it going nicely at home...

I called them today and said I’d be out of town on the day of launch and wouldn’t be back for a few days. But....I was so anxious when the guy said they hold preorders a few days....I forgot to give my name...

So call them back? Explain you might be gone longer than 48 hours and ask if there is anything they can do. Write a list of questions you want to ask them before calling. I get nervous when talking to people over the phone but this helps me stay focused.

Even if they can't do anything they most likely aren't going to sell out of pokeball accessories within a few days, relax. They are way too pricey and most parents aren't going to be buying them for their kids.

I can’t relax. My dad is stressing me out. He’s being his usual mean self while I’m on here and playing my Switch. I love watching videos for the games too. Who thinks Pikachu and Eevees new moves are awesome? I do!

Yeah I think it's cool that the partner pikachu and Eevee get special moves. In the original Pokémon yellow, pikachu became a burden to have on your team around mid game since he couldn't evolve and held items weren't a thing yet. The exclusive moves will help them stay relevant longer. I kind of hope they also have better stats than normal pikachu/Eevee as well.

I have Pokemon Diamond, pearl, heart gold, X and Sun on my 3DS. I preordered Pokemon Let's go pikachu + poke-ball. and I have a Pikachu Build a bear and an Eevee one .

It takes a while, I wouldn't be surprised if its mid November. I could have entered and got two codes but I've been lazy collecting events. I'm kind sad that there isn't any post game I enjoy in gen 7. I hope they add more stuff to do next gen. :<

On a more positive note, gen 4 and 5 can connect online again! You just have to tinker with your DNS setting since it's not through Nintendo.
