I completely didn't notice until just now, but these guys all have little painted nails. So cute!

i'm a bit late commenting on that, but the store butterfly wolves' wings are gorgeous! i'm a fan of how realistic and real life insect-like they are. i love the whole set in general - how each BW is unique, yet they fit together perfectly :)

I'm sorry about the story. Something very big happened in my family and things are just now returning to what is now normal. I don't think I'll have the time now to finish the art without it dragging into December but I'll write down the last of it.




The young astronaut took one last look out the round window, closed his eyes, held his breath and in a fiery blast the rocket launched into space like a shooting star.




The rocket was so fast that it took almost not time to exit the pull of gravity making the astronaut feel weightless and motionless. He unstrapped himself from the pilot's chair and floated to a window to watch the small blue and green marble that was his home shrink and fade into the distance until it looked like all the other stars in the endless void around.



When he looked out to the stars they looked still, he wouldn't know if he was still moving if it weren't for the rocket's many controls and dials telling him its exact speed. Days turned into weeks and weeks into an unknown amount of time. Lost in space and a lost concept of time the astronaut drifted around aimless in the abyss. Some days the loneliness was crippling and his goal was the only thing that kept him going.



Eventually, something amazing happened. From the window the astronaut could see what looked like a tiny galaxy. When he got close he discovered it was actually a planet surrounded by small glowing orbs, there were so many of them they couldn't all fit on the planet and orbited around like tails on a galaxy. It took a few tries to land on the planet as the astronaut hadn't actually flown the rocket in a while as it had been on auto pilot for most of the voyage leaving him a bit rusty. Once firmly on the ground the astronaut stepped out of the rocket for the first time in a very long time. He curiously walked over to the nearest floating orb, looking closer it looked to be tiny stars stuffed in a jar. He reached out to grab one to examine.

'Don't touch that!'




A small creature jumped out of seemingly nowhere and grabbed the jar before the astronaut could lay a finger on it. The astronaut, stunned for a second before asking.

'Who are you? And what is this?'

'I'm the Star Catcher.' The creature said as he put the jar back in its place. 'I save star pieces from burning up and disappearing.'

'You've been stealing all the shooting stars?'

'It’s not 'stealing. They don't belong to anyone. I'm just keeping them safe.' The Star Catcher scoffed.

'I've scoured the galaxy in search of what happened to the shooting stars...And here they are; all of them.'

The Star Catcher paused for a moment, sighed and grabs the smallest jar he could.

'Here, for your troubles.' He handed the jar to the astronaut. 'Keep it safe, it's the only one I'm giving you.'

The astronaut held the jar in his hands for a moment before opening the lid. The three stars inside enthusiastically shot out from the jar into the sky and dissipated as colorful streaks into the darkness.

'What did you do that for!?' The creature shouted. He angrily looked up at the astronaut's face and was taken back. Tears were running down his smiling face.

'It’s been so long since I've see them. I had almost forgotten how beautiful they were.'

The Star Catcher lost for words, took a deep breath and opened up a second jar.
