So I can’t really help with coding or anything but when you get an official base lineart(s) for the characters I could help with drawing different cats. I can’t do lineart but I’m pretty good at coloring/designing. I have some examples here and I’m also pretty good at making backgrounds though they take longer, some examples here
Whether your accept my art request or not, I thought I’d help out a little by listing some lesser known cat breeds that you might want to add.

•Egyptian Mau- One of the oldest cat breeds, short fur with spots, comes in many colors including black, silver, gold, dark and light brown, & white w/ black stripes.
•Somali cat- long furred, solid colored cats with darker backs. Color variations include dark orange, tan, gray, ginger, blond, grayish brown, red.
•Tortoiseshell- usually black cat with small pieces of orange tabby and sometimes white. Can have long or short fur.
•Chimera cat- Not an official breed, more of a mutation. Has face split down the middle with two different colors, most often black and orange tabby but has other variations. Body is usually a mix of the colors or has a tortoiseshell-like appearance.

I can name more but for right now that’s all I’m gonna list cause I have to shower soon~
I could also edit/write stories but I probably wouldn’t do that as often cause I draw 24/7 but don’t write too much.

This seems like a really good idea! I could help with moderation, writing and proof-reading if you’re looking for helpers? I also know quite a bit about cats and different breeds, so I could do some research.
