Whisper lived up to his name, quietly dotting about the medicine den without a word. He'd risen with the sun, as was the habit and was busying himself with anything he possibly could. Ensuring stray moss was scooped back into its proper nest, that odd leaves were carried out of the den. Everything had a place and it was his morning routine to see to it that everything was ready for the day. That was the excuse he had practised and perfected to excuse the fact that his over-dependant brother had woken him by kicking his side once again this morning. It had started since they were apprentices, PebbleSky always wanted to be near either he or Tawny and wouldn't leave no matter how much you begged and pleaded. At first, he'd found it annoying, now it was just a good alarm system. Pebble's nest was very close to his and when the tom stretched out, taking up half the den he'd hit WhisperStep in some form or way, waking up the striped tabby from any sleep he could possibly have hoped to get. His 'little' brother was so childish. He and TawnyWing had always called him the little brother because PebbleSky had gotten his name for being the runt- the small pebble beside his much larger siblings. Of course, StarClan had a sense of humour and by the end of their apprenticeships, PebbleSky dwarfed them both. Just thinking about it made WhisperStep roll his eyes in annoyance.
Stepping out of the den he spotted FrostCloud tidying herself up. "Morning," he mewed in greeting, voice tempered and rather mellow in tone, "restful night?" He followed up, tone rather droll, although that was much of a much. He wasn't known for being outspoken, loud or haughty and if it wasn't for his position as medicine cat he probably would be overshadowed by his siblings. He was known for being the medicine cat, insightful if not somewhat antagonistic. Now was one of the few times he came across as uninterested or unimpressed instead of annoyed or aggravated, one of the few signs he was in a pleasant mood.

PebbleSky's first view of the world was his brother rather grumpily trudging out of the den, or at least that's what it looked like to his blurry vision. His paws stretched out, clawing at the earth as his muscles tensed and released a happy tingling feeling flooding through his body at the sensation of that first good morning stretch. "Good morning TroutPaw!" he shouted, unaware of his volume as per usual, "how was your sleep!" He followed, tone lowered slightly, his tone coming out as if he were whispering, because that was as close to whispering he would get without being under duress. His paws spread out as a low purr hummed out of him. It was a chilly morning but with his thick pelt, he only felt the change in temperature on his nose and ears and right now he felt like rubbing them until they were as warm as he heart.
Standing up rather abruptly he arched his spine, chucking a smile at TroutPaw regardless of his answer and possibly because he hadn't been paying that much attention to it. He looked around, tail high and swung into a hook as he took in his surroundings, looked like his brother had risen early and tidied up. If his memory served him right, which it often did, he'd sprayed a bit of one of the guest nest around the floor when he'd attempted to start a game of 'irritate my brother into doing what I want', which had lead to him bunkering down in the medicine cat den once again. Normally he would trade off between sleeping beside his two best friends but lately, something had possessed TawnyWing into being very particular about her nesting situation. He couldn't imagine it had something to do with him- maybe she was angry with someone else that slept in the warrior's den and was shifting for that reason. Whoever it was PebbleSky had full intentions of finding the issue and fixing it; no-one deserved the hatred of his sister. While, yes everyone deserved love and kindness the hatred of his sister was a rather potent thing and he feared for any soul who would wrong her. The Dark forest had nothing on the rage that could emerge from his sister when she was caused to become irate.

TawnyWing woke up a smile on her face rather indignantly as she opened her eyes looking across the den and the patchy white pelt of a tom she had grown to know as more than friends. They'd kept it simple and kept it quiet, the looks, the secret moments in the forest- it was all rather exhilarating. There wasn't much reason to keep it secret other than how tight-knit the clan was. What they had was something special between just the two of them, something they weren't yet ready to share with the rest of the clan. SkyHeart had been the one to suggest keeping things low when he'd noticed how TawnyWing was always going quietly about her feelings around others and it didn't take much prying to realise why. When they'd started to trust each other TawnyWIng had taken the risk and told him about her real father- her real heritage and the lies her mother had told her, how she was scared of loving only to be pushed into rules and codes. She didn't want to lose herself either. Across the den a bright set of hazel eyes beamed back at her, a wish-filled smile humming away as the two stared at each other. Tawny chuckled looking away at a loss as SkyHeart nodded slightly to nothing and walked out of the den, leaving her alone with the rest of the den's occupants. She sat upwards neck bowing as she stretched in an elegant pose before beginning her morning bath. It would be a good day if everything went according to plan, patrols went well and Sky and her found some time to themselves.
