"Asclepius you are in charge while I am out" the chocolate molly spoke out as
an order. She would not act as there previous leader only taking position to
conquer she chose this position to protect. Sadly some cats still lusted
for power so she would have to be cautious of who she trusted. She needed a
champion a partner who could step up an keep the order when she is
missing or ill.

"Panthea what a powerful name" the she cat whispered out as she looked over
at the town with contempt. This new feline would benefit the new clan greatly
another layer of protection new kits would be born soon from Swift. She did not
want swift to feel the struggle and pain she had faced with the choice of leaving
her kits to the elements. It was pure luck that her son escaped the chaos
unharmed.

"I have traveled here many miles a calling brought me here to this land a sign
from the stars" he spoke calmly with a gentle tone glancing over at the feline
he would now call his queen.

The abundance of new life around him - from the blossoming of flowers to the sweet chirping of young birds - all reflected how Silver's life had changed in the past moon, and for the better. After the fall of LeafClan, he expected to live the rest of his life wandering. His sister Daffodil and mother Isidora had insisted on joining ForestClan when they discovered that his aunt Mila lived there, but he couldn't stand the idea of being in a Clan again. It was bound to go downhill, just as LeafClan had. Then, he unknowingly strayed into RoseClan's territory and soon enough heard a familiar voice, crying out to him in delight. Overjoyed, Tawnystar warmly welcomed him to join her Clan, and he knew he couldn't refuse. Despite previously promising himself to never consider the idea of stepping back into Clan life, it just felt so right. He could hardly wait for the upcoming gathering and the chance to see his family again.

It was beginning to scare Tawnystar - how many times she would dream about the rogues, hear their bloodcurdling yowls out of nowhere, see their leader's face in every shadow, his glinting green eyes perpetually watching her. It was moons ago that they left the rogue group, so why did this still plague her? She wasn't sleeping well, and everyone could see it, but of course she put on a smile every day, assuring them she was fine whenever anyone gave her a worried look, just as Coalstorm was doing now. His border patrol was just about to set out, but he caught sight of the leader and how unwell she appeared. Muttering an "I'll be right back" to his patrol, he hurriedly padded toward Tawnystar, who was sitting at the nursery's entrance, watching the kits play with a small smile across her maw. "Hey there..." he mewed. The ginger turned to him, and her smile grew. "Hi Coalstorm." Her eyes left the deputy and found the patrol waiting at the camp entrance before returning to him. "Don't you have somewhere to be?" The tom shrugged. "Yeah, I'll be leaving in a second, but I need to ask you something first. Are you alright? You don't look well at all. Are you still having the nightmares?" Tawnystar's smile faded instantly and she sighed, "I'm fine. Please don't worry." "You didn't answer my last question," said Coalstorm. "Hey, I have an idea. Could you do us all a tremendous favor and visit StarClan? Maybe they could help, you know," he suggested, adding, "No one likes seeing you like this. I especially don't...." The leader turned her eyes to the ground before her paws. "Oh, that - that does sound like a good idea, I guess. I don't know why I didn't think of it before...." She didn't want to go. She was afraid of leaving the camp to travel such a distance by herself, and she felt so embarrassed because of it. "Hey," Coalstorm mewed, nudging her shoulder. "Don't look so sad, silly. It's just StarClan. They're not going to hurt you." With a sigh, Tawnystar mumbled, "It's not StarClan I'm afraid of - I just don't want to risk running into the rogues again...." "Okay, remember how far we came to get here? You won't ever see them again, alright? I could even come with you if you want me to." The ginger gave a small nod. "Yeah, I... I would really appreciate that. Thank you," she mewed, a grateful smile forming across her features. The deputy grinned, touching his nose to her cheek briefly. "Alright. We'll go when I get back from this border patrol." Tawnystar watched him turn and hurry over to his small group and leave the camp, her heart swelling as she realized how lucky she was to know such a sweet tom.

Dipping her nose into the water of the moonpool, the ginger molly felt the physical world around her fade as her dream with StarClan consumed her. "Hello Tawnystar," a familiar voice purred. The young leader gasped and jumped to her paws, crying, "Frigidstar!" She rushed forward to press her forehead to her mentor's. "What brings you here today?" the silver tabby inquired as she pulled away, a small, knowing smile decorating her face. "Well..." Tawnystar sighed softly. "I'm sure you already know. I mean, StarClan sees everything. But anyways... I can't shake these dreams - nightmares - and such about the rogues. I don't know what to do, they won't go away, and so now the Clan is seeing me like this, a weak leader, who can't let go of the past, and I just -" Frigidstar cut off her ramble with a slight chuckle, "I see, I see. Tawny, I know it's difficult, trust me, but these things just take time, and you have to learn that. I know from experience how terrible that particular group is. Nightmares from it aren't going to fade in a few moons. Give it time, and don't be afraid to open up to your family and close friends. They'll understand and support you, not ridicule you, as I know you think they will. Sootstripe, Lightfrost, Blizzardstone, and Coalstorm were all in the rogue group with you, and it's very possible that they're having such nightmares too. Just talk with them, okay?" The ginger nodded. "Alright. Thank you, Frigidstar." "It's no problem at all, sweetheart," said the older molly with a smile. After hesitating a couple moments, Tawnystar mewed, "Can I ask you something else?" "Of course." "You never told me why you had to leave the rogues. What happened?" The silver tabby's eyes dropped to the ground as she sighed, "It's a long story... but alright. I already told you that my father was the leader, yes? Well, my mother died when I was born, and I had a sister named Glacier. My father was obsessed with creating a small army of sorts - it didn't exactly go to plan, thank StarClan - and he wanted my sister and I to be commanders of it. He had us train so hard that I almost bled to death once in a session when we were fighting. He was extremely brutal - as you know - and made us murder five fellow rogues each before granting us the position. If we'd refused to, he would have killed us. He was trying to desensitize us so that we wouldn't have a problem with killing whoever he wanted us to later on, and he kept us very busy doing that, I'm ashamed to say.... We always had our paws full dealing with one thing that had to do with the army or another so that he forbade us to have a mate and kits, as it would indispose us. Well, there was a particular tom that I always had an interest in - you can see where this is going. He was my best friend since kithood, and sure enough, mutual romantic feelings developed later on, and I was expecting kits. I didn't mean for it to turn out that way, I don't know what I was thinking.... My father found out, of course, and chased me out of the group. And that's when I stumbled upon LeafClan - and why I was so upset all the time," she ended with a chuckle. "Does that clear things up?" "Yes," Tawnystar mewed thoughtfully, "yes, it does." "Glad to hear." Frigidstar smiled. "You should get going. Your friend is waiting." She winked, and the young leader felt her face heating up. Letting out a soft giggle, Tawnystar said, "Thank you for talking with me." "Anytime." Then the dream began to fade.

"This cat has died, because Starclan saw into his soul and determined them evil. The Regents have saved us from a dark cat." Martinwhisker had held out for about a day after taking Scale of Shadow's bite, but earlier that morning he'd died from the venom. The black snake had stayed by the cat's side the entire time, tongue flickering in and out of his mouth.

"As per Snakeclan law, the body will be taken to the burial grounds, and buried at the base of the rise, away from the stars. His soul shall not travel to Starclan." the cats lowered their heads as Goldenglare stepped forward to drag the body by the scruff of the neck out of the center of camp.

"In other news, Cotton's sister Ribbon has joined us, she is expecting kits. Ribbon will not take the bite until such time as her kits are weaned. Another has joined us, and he will take the bite today." Venomstar flicked his tail, beckoning forward an orange, black, and white tomcat with a bobtail. Scale of Shadow slithered forwards, parting his jaws. "Lynx, are you ready to take the bite?" the tom nodded and lifted one leg, setting it before the raven-scaled snake.

"Splashfeather?" Splashfeather turned and saw Petalmist pressing her way into the den. "Easy there, I'm in the middle of resorting my herb stores" Splashfeather said "I don't really have anything else to do." Scale of Snow, who'd been helping Splashfeather, for basically the same reason, slithered around and sniffed at Petalmist's fur, before recoiling with a hiss.

Petalmist stared at the Regent as the white snake hissed "You sssssscent of Goldenglare." Splashfeather made her way forward "Well of course she does, they're den-mates, I probably smell like you half the time." And Wasppaw her mind whispered. Quickly becoming conscious of her ever growing sides, Splashfeather quickly said "So how can I help you Petalmist." Petalmist fluffed out her fur and said "Well, like Scale of Snow sort of said, me and Goldenglare, we're mates! I was...I was hoping you could check me to see if I'm expecting."

"Nothing good ssssssshall come of thisssssssss Petalmisssssst. If you are not expecting, disssstance yourssssself, he issssss not who you are meant to be with." her piece said, Scale of Snow slithered from the den in a rush of white fury.

Ribbon is allowed to not take the bite until her kits are born and three moons
Lynx takes the bite, if he lives, he becomes Lynxtuft.
Splashfeather keeps Oaktail in camp and gives him Burnet, to help him recover from the infection
Venomstar, Birchtalon and Amberclaw go on patrol
Goldenglare and Petalmist become mates - although Scale of Snow seems sure nothing good will come from their coupling...

origins
charcoalclan was born of the ashes and embers of a once forgotten super-clan that had thrived for many many seasons until its total destruction. anarchy and terror ran throughout the jungle at the hands of a single dictator. she had murdered her two fellow triad partners and took control of all three sections of the clan. it did not go well. there was a massive power struggle between her and her first officer. but starclan knew that if she won, it would mean to total end of trinidadclan. then the volcano erupted. starclan destroyed what once was a great clan to smithereens.

traditions
charcoalclan's sacred number is the number three. there are three main leaders that work together, they each have three lives, there are three first officers and three different positions of medical healers. there are also only three jobs a cat can have and three different senior leaders. Three is important.

territory
charcoalclan is within volcano lava tubes at the bottom of an inactive volcano deep within the amazon jungle. they have never had contact with humans and have never seen a road before. their jungle is thick and dense and each cat within has to be extremely intelligent as well as know how to navigate such horrendously thick and hard to hunt in jungle.

ranking system
-triad leaders; equivalent to a leader, except there are three of them and they only have three lives so they can die and be replaced easily.

-first officers; the equivalent to a deputy, they work and listen to only one specific triad leader and aren't required to follow the directions of the others.

-healers/astrologist/midwife; the equivalent to medicine cats. healers are the only cats that look for herbs and heal minor scrapes and injuries. the astrologist works directly with starclan, every night in their dreams this cat walks in starclan and communicates with those who died. they can also, if necessary, walk in the dark forest though they tend not to. the midwife is the cat that has minor training in herbs, and can only use them for helping she-cats give birth. they tend to care for all kits who are abandoned as well.

-assassins; assassins are an elite group of cats who train for ten months and every three months they battle for their life against any opponent. they basically do nothing but go to war. they keep around thirteen cats on average. three senior leaders, and ten regular assassins. most of these cats are arrogant and parade their status above the other cats in the clan. they can patrol and hunt if they need to, they just don't like to.

-soldiers; these are all of the males of the clan. they patrol the borders and guard the camp. they also do volcano watches, which is considered a prestige job. they are brutish and crude most of the time, but generally they all have good hearts.

-hunters; these are all of the female cats of the clan. all they do is hunt and have kits. a she-cat that has a litter of three kits is considered a blessing to her and her family. most she-cats are elegant and a prideful.

Evanora’s Reach live a quiet life, taking care of cats that they come across with a life dedicated to helping others. This idealogy is inspired by one of the godesses they believe in, Evanora who is said to be the mother of creation to those who believe in her. They also believe in Evanora’s mate said to be the personification of disease, Circe who is told of in a positive light as you cannot have life without disease. Their religion is very much turned in the direction of redemption for every creature that has done bad, exile and execution are thus not used. There is a tale passed down generations of the unnamed deity of malice, a being so powerful he created an entire distorted world where he waits to turn beings against their own kin, a teacher amoung murderers and a prince of deception. There are other gods and goddesses, some of whom are the children of Evanora and Circe such as Midori, god of greenery and Enyo, goddess of war. Religion is taught at a young age but The Reach tends to only see the idea of the main two as vital, the deity of malice is often a motherbird’s tale to scare fledglings. Shamans will name fledglings after commuting with the goddess.

Cheiftess/Cheif - The leader, often commute with the gods alongside the Shaman.
Aide (General) - The deputy, called General by soldiers but Aide by everyone else.
Shaman - One of the healers in the clan, shamans also commute with the gods and tell the lore.
Medic- The other healer.
Care-giver - The shaman or medic’s aprentice, often looks after retirees or fledglings.
Soldier - The fighters & hunters of the clan.
Rookie - The apprentices of soldiers.
Motherbird - The queens of the clan, look after fledgings and rookies.
Fledgling - The youngest cats in the clan.
Retiree- The eldest of the clan.

General Personalties

As stated above, Evanora’s Reach maintains a pretty innocent image. They appear to be more of the selfless kind, rather arrogant to their own health as long as it helps others and that may be true. Cats are certainly less aware of themselves as individuals in the clan, believing themselves to be pawns in a greater game of chess for the gods and rebellion rarely occurs due to cats being self conscious. These cats aren’t particularly brave or bold, polite and observant is more akin to them.

Territory & Dangers

Evanora’s Reach live in a predominantly rocky mountainous area scattered with pines and plenty of rock outcrops for danger to lurk. They have a loch to one side of the territory where the clan will occasionally hunt if the prey in their usual hunting grounds grows thin. Most of their territory is covered with drab shrubbery or rocks, all giving the area a rather sparse look. There are several preadators trying to survive in the sparse shrubland as well, birds of prey such as owls and hawks watch from the skies, rattlesnakes may attack from their shaded overhangs and even a cougar may pass by or a few naive coyotes have been said to attack cat’s in the area. Heatstroke and droughts are possible at the height of greenleaf.

traditions
charcoalclan's sacred number is the number three. there are three main leaders that work together, they each have three lives, there are three first officers and three different positions of medical healers. there are also only three jobs a cat can have and three different senior leaders. territory
charcoalclan is within volcano lava tubes at the bottom of an inactive volcano deep within the amazon jungle. they have never had contact with humans and have never seen a road before. their jungle is thick and dense and each cat within has to be extremely intelligent as well as know how to navigate such horrendously thick and hard to hunt in jungle.

ranking system
-triad leaders; equivalent to a leader, except there are three of them and they only have three lives so they can die and be replaced easily.

-first officers; the equivalent to a deputy, they work and listen to only one specific triad leader and aren't required to follow the directions of the others.

-healers/astrologist/midwife; the equivalent to medicine cats. healers are the only cats that look for herbs and heal minor scrapes and injuries. the astrologist works directly with starclan, every night in their dreams this cat walks in starclan and communicates with those who died. they can also, if necessary, walk in the dark forest though they tend not to. the midwife is the cat that has minor training in herbs, and can only use them for helping she-cats give birth. they tend to care for all kits who are abandoned as well.

-assassins; assassins are an elite group of cats who train for ten months and every three months they battle for their life against any opponent. they basically do nothing but go to war. they keep around thirteen cats on average. three senior leaders, and ten regular assassins. most of these cats are arrogant and parade their status above the other cats in the clan. they can patrol and hunt if they need to, they just don't like to.

-soldiers; these are all of the males of the clan. they patrol the borders and guard the camp. they also do volcano watches, which is considered a prestige job. they are brutish and crude most of the time, but generally they all have good hearts.

-hunters; these are all of the female cats of the clan. all they do is hunt and have kits. a she-cat that has a litter of three kits is considered a blessing to her and her family. most she-cats are elegant and a prideful.

The tortie stood on the peak of the cliff, wind flowing through her patched fur. Areli was finally here but where exactly was here? The place had been haunting her dreams for the past few moons, each night more vivid than the last. She saw the place where she would sleep, a small cave covered with a small shrub flowering. She saw ‘cats’ sometimes although they were hazy shadows or faint voices that rang slightly, saying things of plants and herbs. She heard the song of the wind as much as she did now yet she still had no idea what do now, whether to gather herself and perhaps find something to access the goddess who sent her here, asking for someone to help her hunt and protect. She flicked her tail. Why couldn’t making up her mind be as easy as following the dreams? Perhaps the latter would be the most valuable.

Heat dipped his head into the skypool, ready to meet his ancestors and begin the arduous journey to build charcoalclan into a massive empire. His thick, shaggy brown coat wasn’t ideal for the damp, humid jungle, but he couldn’t care less. He’d grown up here, and he was used to the temperature that surrounded him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before falling asleep and waking up in the ancestor’s den. He dipped his head, “Hello. I have come to get my nine lives.”

The cat who stood before him was a salty old she-cat with battle scars all over her body. “You think you’re getting nine? The jungle you walk in only hands out three lives. One to each leader. You shall earn three, and when we send you your fellow leaders then they shall earn theirs.”

Heat’s eye twitched in annoyance and his tail casually swiped back and forth on the ground, “Of course, ancestor.” His tone, however kind it seemed was anything but. It was laced with poisonous venom, as deadly as a black mamba.
