At the stranger's question, Kermit lowered his eyes. It was the way of the world, and he found that sad. Very sad. He was so damaged from being so alone for so long, he honestly didn't know whether or not he'd even be able to rejoin society if it welcomed him back. He froze for a moment, thinking about all the people he's given illnesses to, all the people whose days he ruined. He even came very close to killing a man once, not even for a good reason. That, he believed, was what made him a villain. Not the stealing of the food or tragic backstory, but that he had no problem killing a man for hardly any reason at all. His moral compass was out of control, no longer pointing North.
"Yeah, I guess it is," He said quietly, eyes toward the ground. His shaking had been subdued quite a lot, and his stuttering wasn't as severe anymore. He didn't know whether that was just the food or if it was the calming aura the man seemed to give off. Still, the stranger seemed to sympathize with Kermit. He was the first person in many years to understand his situation, and something about that made Kermit trust him. So he decided to introduce himself.
"I'm, uh..." He paused for a moment. "Kermit" was such a strange name. It was unlike any other name in the area, and he didn't really feel like being judged for a name. But could he really help what he was named? The woman who took him in when he was first abandoned, a rather talented villain of course, began calling him Kermit. She was from America, and when he asked why he was called that, she replied with some sort of reference he didn't understand. Supposedly it was because his skin and hair was green. "I'm Kermit." He finally forced it out of his mouth, looking up to lock eyes with the stranger.
Although this move proved he was slightly less submissive now, his bent back and hands poised at his chest, grasping each other for something to hold onto, showed that he was still incredibly afraid. He didn't think he'd ever be able to be more dominant than someone, especially not someone like this. A big, buff U.A. student with a strong enough presence and confidence that he may very well be able to physically knock someone down with it. Still, he was the first person to show Kermit some kindness in years, so Kermit was slightly less afraid. He actually nearly felt comfortable. At least more comfortable than he'd felt in who knows how long.
