I'm not sure what you mean? You can only collect a certain number of tokens because if people could get unlimited tokens the whole event then it would be extremely unbalanced and unfair to a lot of people.
The limit always starts at a 200 banner cap, and is raised occasionally by 50 banners depending on how many people have reached the limit. The highest it ever gets to is 350 banners per person.

I think it's called a grim in real life too, Harry Potter didn't just make that up. It's just usually called a black dog rather than a grim. (or at least that's what wiki tells me so who knows how true that actually is...)
