Tip!
For dwarf hamsters, don't use the tiny store-bought cages. Use big plastic tubs! My Chunky has a cage the size of my guinea pig's cage and he is so happy. Using a plastic tub is cheap and often bigger than the overpriced, tiny boxes of doom.

Information/Opinion
Robo dwarf hamsters are the fastest and they are known to not bite. When I had a robo, he jumped out of his cage whenever I opened it. I would recommend a Russian winter white or a Chinese dwarf hamster. They do tend to bite more, but very rarely. Syrians are good too. They are bigger than dwarf hamsters, but they are really sweet. They do bite when they are provoked.
