Sheeppaw is an easygoing cat that prefers to avoid conflict, and instead goes with the flow. The last thing she wants is to hurt anyone. In fact, her empathy is so strong that it sometimes gets in the way of practicality. She can be a bit sentimental about the symbolism of things as opposed to their utility. For example, she might object to having her moss changed due to a piece of old moss that resembles a flower, or she might have a hard time hunting prey that one of her friends is named after.
Whether this behavior is charming or frustrating is up for interpretation, but no one would argue that Sheeppaw is talkative. She loves a good conversation with any who will listen, and finds silence to be uncomfortable. Sheeppaw is fairly open when she speaks, tending to simply voice her thoughts and feelings aloud if she fails to find an active participant in conversation. Of course, she is always ready to let loose and have a little fun. She is sure to be interested in participating in any number of games, contests, and other foolishness that she or her fellow apprentices come up with. Sheeppaw is rarely the instigator in these endeavors, but at the first sign of harmless fun, one can be sure that she will soon be in the middle of it.

When Sheeppaw was born, her fur was solid white, so she was named after another animal that, at least in many occasions, is equally solid white. Of course, as she grew older, her fur darkened to its current shade of light brown transitioning to darker brown on her face, ears, tail, and paws, save for the few patches of true white that break that pattern. While it remains to be seen if Aspenstar will consider her in need of a new prefix for her warrior name, Sheeppaw herself has not given the topic much thought. Like any apprentice, she eagerly awaits the day when she is named a full warrior of Fernclan, but for now, training, chores, and her clanmates are more than enough to keep her busy. For example, Sheeppaw could spend an entire afternoon complaining about Frostcloud. The way she gets so nervous around Owlgaze made it obvious that she has feelings for him, and as this pattern continued, Sheeppaw began rolling her eyes and wondering when anything was going to come of all this "gross lovey-dovey stuff. Fortunately, this is the closest Sheeppaw has to an enemy among Fernclan. She loves all of her clanmates and considers each of them family, but Doestep and Silverstone hold special places in her heart. Sheeppaw admires both she-cats and considers them akin to older sisters. Doestep is always good for a chat, and Silverstone is able to understand Sheeppaw's emotional side better than most.

personality; meet sedgepaw - perhaps the most naturally pessimistic cat you’ll ever find. though he likes to say that he’s a “realist”, it’s really is just an excuse for him to expect the worst out of every situation. to be fair, he’s witnessed a death by almost every sort of element, so he’s got plenty of reason to be cautious. he’s sweet and thoughtful around others, though he tends not to seek out interaction unless it is absolutely necessary, preferring to keep his distance much of the time, as he can be a nervous wreck, sensitive, as well as being stupid clumsy. he doesn’t crack jokes often, but when he does, it’s usually some form of dry sarcasm; sometimes you’ll miss it cause it’ll blend right in with his normal level of “things will definitely not be fine”. sedgepaw’s very forgetful and easily distracted by nature, and often he can be doing one thing and not long after he’ll find himself wandering off in mind.
history; before sedgepaw and his sister, amberpaw were born, their father drowned; story is he got caught in some reeds or something of the sort. when he was just a young apprentice, his mother passed away to greencough and amberpaw fell from a tree and injured her leg, dying of infection not long after. sedgepaw’s had many close encounters with death, even since his family had gone to starclan, and when the murders start to happen he’ll definitely be one of the jumpy, cautious ones.

aspenstar ●
sedgepaw thinks that aspenstar is a good leader who handles issues well. on a personal level he’s a little intimidated by aspenstar, mainly because he carries this confident, graceful air to him, whereas sedgepaw is clumsy and nervous.
lionclaw ▲
lionclaw has a calm, gentle air that appeals to sedgepaw. he’s a pretty easy to trust cat, since it seems he’s got a strong moral sense. sometimes sedgepaw likes to go to lionclaw for advice, since he gives good, wise words in sedgepaw’s opinion at least.
whisperstep ●
to be honest, sedgepaw used to be afraid of him when he was a kit, but after going to the medicine cat den for minor scrapes a couple times, he’s gotten used to whisperstep’s usual demeanor. although there was this one time, recently, when sedgepaw knocked over a huge pile of oak leaves and he got so afraid.

the two apprentices are both a little awkward and clumsy, so whenever they attempt to talk to each other it ends up awkward and messy. they’re similar in that regard and in many other ways, and sedgepaw could see them becoming close, but for now they’re kind of stuck in that awkward stage because neither of them is brave enough to say anything more than a quick “hey”.

sedgepaw thinks frostcloud is sweet and kind, and wishes she would stick up for herself more. he views her in a positive light as of now. if the two talked more, perhaps they would run into some disagreements of perspective, since she seems to be more idealistic whereas he’s as cynical as it gets.
pebblesky ●
sedgepaw admires pebblesky’s optimism and energy(though admittedly he sometimes finds pebblesky’s energy a bit overwhelming), since he himself is pretty lacking in positive energy. he thinks pebblesky is pretty friendly and kind, and he likes him for those reasons, but overall he doesn’t know him all that well.

sedgepaw really appreciates how she took him under her wing after he lost his family. at first he was pretty reluctant to accept anyone’s reaching out to him, but in the end it was really helpful for him to have someone who he could talk to and rely on. at this point he might even consider her to be his family.
doestep ●
he doesn’t know doestep all that well, but he admires her ability to speak her mind and he likes her fire and passion. on a side note, sedge could totally see her leading a revolution and he thinks that that’s really cool.
owlgaze ▲
much like with whisperstep, sedgepaw found owlgaze quite intimidating when he first met him as a kit, owlgaze being this huge fluffy warrior, but after some conversation he found owlgaze to be a kind, friendly cat.
silverstone ●
though he doesn’t know her all that well, he makes sure to be nice to her cause he’s heard she can be fierce, and he definitely does not want to get on her bad side. other than that, he respects her as she seems to deal with things with a level of maturity.

sedgepaw gets along with sheeppaw for the most part, and he likes her easygoing, sentimental attitude. he often feels uncomfortable when she complains about frostcloud, since he doesn’t agree with sheeppaw about frostcloud nor does he like gossip, but other than that, he enjoys spending time with her and talking with her.

sedgepaw doesn’t really dislike cloverpaw, it’s just that he can’t really relate to him at all, being an emotion-driven character himself. cloverpaw tends to make blunt, truthfully honest statements, which sedgepaw often reads too much into and misinterprets as being personal or offensive.
