Scarlett GreyScarlett was shocked for a moment, her eyes wide. Was he serious? “Uh- I-,” She stammered, uncertain, “I-If you’re serious then... Yeah! I’d love to.” . She didn’t get paid nearly enough for her current jobs. This way she might be able to afford rent. Once she’d found another apartment anyway, and rebought all of the stuff her landlord had burnt on the front lawn. Jerry hadn’t exactly been the most caring Landlord. He was more like an elite criminal. She was certain he’d had some unsavoury operations running in the basement.

Scarlett Grey
Scarlett raised an eyebrow, unsure if she should accept the invitation. Then again, she was completely homeless at the moment. She’d probakly be less likely to die there than on the street. Maybe. “Uh, locked room...Got it.” She murmured, scratching her head, “Thank you.” She said, nodding her head slightly as she spoke. She tucked her sketchpad under her arm and produced a tiny sketchbook from the waistband of her skirt. She was relieved it hadn’t been in her apartment when she was evicted, since it had everything she valued most in there. She turned to the last page and set it down on the bench, “If you ever need extra storage, I can help with that. Watch.” She told him, removing the pin from her hair which, since she was leaning forward, fell down across her face and got in her mouth, causing her to frantically try spitting it out and flicking her red hair away with her hands. She placed the pin on the pad and smacked it with her hand. It dropped inside the page and left an image of itself as if it were perfectly sketched. If she ruined the paper it would be lost forever. She often wondered where things went when they were lost in her drawings.

Scarlett Grey
A small chill ran down her spine, she hoped she hadn’t made a terrible decision. “Right.” She murmured, standing, dusting off her knees and following him. She realised what a dumb idea this probably was but as she tucked the one hundred dollars into her purse, she couldn’t help but feel a little relieved, seeing as she had been kicked out of a coffee shop earlier.

Scarlett Grey
“Oh, I can sketch something up?” Scarlett suggested, “Or would you prefer fresh out of the pan to fresh off the page?”. She tried not to laugh at her own joke, since she knew how awful it was, but she couldn’t help crack a smile and snort a bit. She mumbled a small apology and put her fist over her mouth to stop herself laughing.
