I moved my feeder crickets to a bigger tub and a bunch of them got out during the move, so now I've had to get up every 5 minutes to catch a rogue cricket, RIP me x.x

i'm so damn happy that there's an invertebrate topic!! it's been a while since i've posted
on chicken smoothie and heck yeah this is awesome. i really love arachnids, specifically
tarantulas or jumping spiders. i would also love to own an aphonopelma chelcodes (arizona
blonde). i'm in LOVE with their colorations!! but unfortunately, i cannot obtain a tarantula
since my mom has a slight fear of spiders. ):
i've never obtained an invertebrate of any kind before, but i'm going to attend some kind of
expo where they do have booths for arachnids or even a zoo or whatever so i could handle
one.
@hostile popcorn
aaaaaaaaaaaaaa congratulations on trick!! your little baby is so freaking pretty and adorable!!
and yES, theY DESERVE TO BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS. i really love pumpkin patch tarantulas,
their patterns are really pretty. <3

Oh neat, I didn't know there was a thread for invertebrates! I'm just gonna pop in here and leave this absolutely adorable little bean here:

This precious lil dude is called a rubber ducky isopod. They were apparently very recently discovered sometime last year. I love them. ;u;
Currently doing some research on them. I've found some websites that have them for sale, so hopefully sometime next year I can snag a few before they're sold out again. c':

OH THIS IS A GOOD THREAD
im an entomology minor so ive WORKED with all sorts of species before but i currently only have a colony of blue death feigning beetles and a sonoran desert millipede. i keep super worms, mealworms & dubia for feeders. i probably won't get more than that because im focusing a lot of my time to successfully figure out an easy way to get bdfb to breed in captivity.
i REALLY love any species in coleoptera but i especially love desert beetles.
some kids!

my reptiles (aka my personal pets)
1.1 Uromastyx geyri, 3.1 Uromastyx ornata, 1.0 Uromastyx acanthinurus nigriventris, 2.0 piebald ball pythons, 1.0 puma ball python
i study lizards & bugs and like animals
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

You kids are beautiful and I love your beetles!! You could email some of the people mentioned
[here] and ask how they managed to get their BDFBs to breed ^^
Also, here's a somewhat recent pic of my baby. They're in premolt right now, so hopefully I'll be able to seх them soon ;v;

Thank you!! I don't have a microscope but I'm sure I can borrow one at my university. I already have one of Trick's old molts, but it's too fragile and the abdomen/pedicel is all crumbled up :P
G. pulchra is one of my dream species! I hope yours turns out to be female <33
Speaking of dream species, I was looking at huntsmen and wandering spiders today and there are some really beautiful ones out there, like
Heteropoda lunula

Heteropoda boiei

Cupiennius salei

Aaa okay good luck and thank you ❤️
God that first huntsman, I'm in love. We actually kept 30 Piloctenus haematostoma im our lab to have a look at their venom! They're not as beautiful as the tiger boy but they have a serious attitude!! I feel lucky just being able to look at them in person.
