One Halloween night, a young flitling, dressed in a headless night costume was wondering about when he stumbled across a haunted house.
“Step righttt up! It costs 2 Reese’s cups to get in, but prizes will be at the end!” Yelled a joyous voice that came from a flit wearing a witch costume near the haunted house. The young flitling looked in his small pail. He had some Kit Kats, lollipops, and... 3 Reese’s cups! He bounded up to the flit, paid him, and headed in.
It wasn’t that scary. There were a few fake cobwebs, tattered blankets here and there, the walls were an ugly green and the floor was a greyish purple. He made his way forwards and saw a sign that said “prizes up ahead!” The young flitling rushes down the hallway into the prize room. It seems there was only 1 prize left, and it seemed to be an empty bucket. The flitling’s heart dropped. He made his way forward, and to the young flitling’s suprise, there was nothing but a chicken, looking up at him. The flitling’s heart soared. He grabbed the chicken and made his way out happily. He got a new friend today!

A loud beat pulsed in the messy teenager bedroom, deep bass and quick guitar strums made the words of the singer hard to hear. On the unmade bed sat a girl, blowing her turquoise bubblegum into a large bubble. She sat cross legged with her duvet bunched up around her waist, watching the television playing an old horror movie with sound drowned out by the music. She was hiding from trick-or-treating and the entire Halloween.

She glanced to the desk, seeking any distraction she could and watched her lizard inside it's aquarium. Next to it sat a sack of new aquarium sand, that had yet to replace the old, and a jar of worms for her scaly friend to eat. Maybe he would like some now? He, too, deserved some treats, she thought as she pushed the snickers bars of her lap and replaced her stale gum with a cherry lollipop.

The lizard was happy to eat his worm and she sat by the desk, wiping some sawdust to the floor. She picked up the wooden cat ornament, resembling the cat she had had as a child, that she was working on. It made her feel brave, safe. She smiled.

Completed work: there they were, the anthro guinea pig, Rocket, and the anthro bat, Cheddar. Rocket had on a dark blue jester costume while Cheddar had a pink mummy costume, how'd he get it pink? Let's say he just won't let his mom wash his clothes any time soon. In front of them was the looming house called The Rosemary's, the house haunted by, you guessed it, Rosemary family. "Why are we doing this?" hissed Cheddar, "Duh, Felix dared us" muttered Rocket. "Just cause your crush dares you doesn't mean you do it" groaned Cheddar. "Shut.It" Rocket said, elbowing his friend. For a moment they were silent, the tension creeping in. "So do we go in.." Cheddar asked, "Yeah duh". And with that, the duo slowly crept towards the door, before they heard a loud wail from inside the house. Cheddar and Rocket shrieked, turning around dropping their baskets and dashing into the street. Some of Cheddar's costume untangling and waving behind him. The door creaked open, and just like that their candy baskets were snatched by a spirit's hand.. Cheddar and Rocket returning home with no candy and nightmares awaiting to play in their heads that night.

Completed work: Rosalie grinned as she put on her mummy costume. It looked like a sickly yellow and was quite old, but it would do! She placed her pet guinea pig on her shoulder and stuck some bubblegum in her mouth before walking out the door.

Instantly the Halloween decorations and lightning blended into a rainbow of colors. At one door, a lady was handing out HUGE lollipops to children. Another was giving Reese' Peanut Butter Cups. Rosalie made a note of this as she walked down the street and stopped at one that had clearly been pranked. Some tattered string was strewn about all over the property and she couldn’t help but let out a snicker. Rosalie spent hours trick-or-treating merrily and at the end of the night, she went back home and went through her goodies with her guinea pig. She then pulled out some writing pencils, brightly decorated in bright Halloween colors. “Huh, would you look at that!” Rosalie exclaimed before stuffing them into her book bag. “I always need more pencils.” She said as she looked at all of her broken pencils over in a pile. She had gotten angry while writing and snapped several cases of pencils. (200/200)

A little flit sat on a big cushion, letting his mother wrap him up in toilet paper in a totally realistic mummy costume. He lived on a farm, so this was the first time he was going into town to trick or treat! His trusty pet chicken was also getting dressed up, its costume being a headless knight (get it, headless chicken?). As he waved goodbye to his mom, he made sure to grab a green empty bucket to hold all of the treats he'd find that night. The first house was guarded by a (fake) giant spider, and he was almost too afraid to go up. When he gathered the courage, the woman at the house awarded him a handful of lollipops for his bravery. When his bucket was full, he headed home, only to receive a gift from his mother too! A cute cat ornament awaited him, a reminder of his first Halloween in the city!

There I was vacuuming the floor with my favorite Hoover vacuum while doing some cleaning when suddenly, POOF! A strange genie appeared. "Oh hollo thar. Im da genie of da carpet and your vaccoom hast summoned me." I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm ground of my stood a pink chicken perched on the arm rest of my couch. " Now, you got tree wishes, use dem wisely bla bla bla. " The chicken spoke again in their hilarious accent. I though for a moment, and a moment more and then I had the perfect idea. "For my first wish, I would like a friend." I told the genie chicken. " Kk gurl. Consider et granted. " And suddenly a pile of saw dust appeared where I had just cleaned. "Um-"
"Sorry, no refunds. Says et right der in da contract." The chicken replied quickly and a dark blue piece of paper appeared in front of my face.
'No refunds or suing allowed.'
The paper read in big bold letters.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't going to ask for a refund, only that you clean up this mess." I replied . The chicken look at me, then the mess a couple times and disappeared into a rainbow.

They always say a black cat walking past leads to misfortune...
it was Halloween & it was raining, it soaked my cloths, I was close to the haunted house, when suddenly saw dust carried by the wind smacked into my face and skeleton costume leaving me soaked and dusty. I saw the house i was looking for, there was a sign “can you beat the rainbow maze?”. ‘Hmm’ I think this is it, I walked to the front door and knocked, the door opened, a voice answered “come with me” I was lead to the maze entrance and walked in, it seemed so big! I started walking around the maze I suddenly herd a noise and rounded a corner quickly out of no where pumpkin husks were thrown at my face, same small preices stayed stuck to my already sawdusty and soaked costume. I just continued walking, from what I had figured out the maze was seperate into colour sections I had already been though red and orange, now I was up to yellow. I got to the yellow section, I walked for another 10 minutes then started to here clucking noises. I reached where the noise was loudest and found a pen of chickens and they did not look happy, I stepped into the pen and I was attacked by an army of chickens I managed to escape them. An hour later I walked though the exit I was congratulated and lead to the prize stand. I lined up and was then handed a hand full of jolly ranchers and a goldfish in a bag.
I guess I was unfortunate? But either way that black cat changed my night...

Eltanin tilted his head, gazing at the dark blue flitz with excitement as he handed her some bubblegum to add to the bucket. “We could make you a headless knight costume, those are always scary!” He stated, glancing over to lyra, who was fiddling with a pumpkin husk. “I think Omen has a skeleton costume in back, but that wouldn’t really fit you.” She murmured, not even glancing up. Mystic shook her head. “Nah, that’s okay. Anything else?”

“What about a terrifying WEREWOLF COSTUME?” Eltanin asked, being a bit too overenthusiastic. Mystic quickly shook her head. “Oh,” Lyra began again. “I can make a witch costume?” She offered. Mystic thought for a moment. “Maybe that one will work!”

as the neighborhood's street lights began to fade out the only thing left illuminating the streets were the bright welcoming lights hanging above the unusual colored doors. From an almost neon green to a sweet calming light blue they were hard to miss even in the dark. with kids scattered in the streets weaving in and out of each other, scrambling to make it to the next house before their lights dimmed out you could hear the parents laughing with each other. taking slow sips of their dark red liquids, resting at a decorated with carved pumpkins a somehow green fire and pumpkin husk sprickled out in the yard, keeping themselves nice and warm, some kids would run up to their parents asking them to adjust their costumes or hold their candy bags. like the kid in the homemade falling apart spider costume who sulked over almost as if feeling guilty about his mother's ruined masterpiece
