kai and hayley grew up constantly moving from place to place. at some point, the thought of living statically in one place became odd. with a military father and a deadbeat mother, the two spent a lot of their younger years with only each others company. this isolated childhood affected the two in entirely different ways. for kai, he developed his fiery alpha demeanor. in his later years, he became the star of the show, always striving to be the center of attention. he dared to dream big -- he wanted nothing to do with his old, quiet life. on the contrary, there was hayley. she slowly became more quiet and subdued, preferring to keep to herself. as the younger sibling, she was consistently overshadowed by her older brother. but this was no matter. the two still loved each other dearly, but also understood that they wanted very different things out of life. after graduation, hayley chased her dream of becoming a nurse. Her brother, meanwhile, partied it up, skipping between numerous bartending and cooking jobs to pay his rent. at last, kai met someone who changed his life, his lovely fiancee elizabeth, and was ready to settle down.

hayley and kai were returning from a shared vacation when they boarded the plane. neither had any idea that the flight would change their lives as they knew it. while the two siblings were lucky enough to survive the crash with minimal injury, kai's fiancee was not so lucky. kai and elizabeth had just gotten engaged prior to the tragedy ending with her death.

is careless, wild, and reckless in everything that
she does. after all, who would want to live a

because she's always cracking jokes to mask her

after punch at rory for as long as
she can remember, and even before
that. from losing her twin in infancy
to a deadbeat runaway dad, her
childhood was less than amazing.
her mother did everything she could
for her daughter. rory's young years
were nice, until the accident. after
deciding to leave a sleepover in the
middle of the night, rory and her
mother were involved in a car wreck
with a drunk driver. while she survived
with only minimal injury, her mother
died on the scene. orphaned now, she
was placed into the foster system.
since the accident life has simply been
a blur of different houses and schools.

far in the system. its a shame that rory never
was able to figure out that one. instead, she
usually meets false niceties with ice. never
the timid type, she is outspoken and takes no
bull from anyone. between every school and
every home she has lived in, she's seen just about every temper tantrum and argument there is to be had. at
some point, she grew tired of the routine and decided to move on from mean girls and drama. despite her
blunt demeanor, rory is perhaps one of the most chill people you could meet. after being uprooted so many
times, she takes life as it comes and enjoys the simple things.
