jay frowned at the letter trying to decide if he should go, his first answer was a straight up no but maybe it was for the best that he try and be social. not to mention ashley had mention something about food... "well, maybe on the second thought i kind of want to go... do you want to go with me or would it be too awkward?"

"Sure. We can go together. I don't think it's awkward as long as we don't make it." Ashley suggested. She agreed with that statement. There was no need to make things awkward, and as long as they knew that they were just going friends, than nothing weird should happen. Either way, both Ashley and Jay were socially awkward, so the chance of one of the being bold was very miniscule. They got along with each other just fine, though. That made at least Ashley happy. She could be herself around someone. That was more than she ever could've said before attending Red Moon. "By the way, so you have anything to wear? I sure don't, but I can sew, so I think I'll make it through. Oh, and I don't want to wear a dress badly, so would you be okay if I didn't? Plus, dresses are hard to make. They have intricate patterns that are hard to sew with the material I use, which is a type of ice that works like thread." Ashley admitted, hoping Jay wouldn't need her to wear a dress.

jay quickly shook his head, "oh no it's absolutely fine! i never knew this would be happening so i don't have any formal wear as well. unlike you, i am not creative at all but do you want to go buy something to wear or should we go in our casual wear?" he would be the lazy person he is and go buy something that looks formal enough with what he has. not to mention he should also probably get a part time job somewhere, jay cannot live off the small budget his parents had lent him before coming to the university. he doesn't mind but if they were to make a quick trip and get back before the ball starts, they could get a good idea of the city and the places to go.

Fritz nodded. "I haven't seen many people either. I was scared that I was the first one here, until I saw you guys." He said, smiling. Suddenly, he saw a sign with an arrow, pointing to another hallway, with the words, 'Boys' Dorms' written on it. "Ah! Here it is!" Fritz said, turning into the corridor.

Leila jumped slightly when some paper landed on her head. They fluttered to the floor, and the werewolf looked up, and rolled her eyes. "And what was that?" She asked, looking up at Lucy.

The ballroom was colored gold by the chandeliers that hung down. The lighting dark but bright enough for everyone to see the faces of the students. Candles lit the walls and an orchestra was positioned in the side of the room. The music filled the ballroom and spilled out into the corridors, beckoning all who heard the beautiful tune.

The LoveStruck Ball use to be something that Valentins used to mess with the emotions of all the students and for many years, administration banned the ball altogether. As time went by, more and more romances fell to pieces the week following what would have been the LoveStruck ball. A tradition that became known to the University to stop the ending of romances and have all true emotions out on the floor.

No one knew why the emotions of students seemed to spike negatively on this week, but the administration decided to let the Valentins do their best and use their abilities to correct any wrong romances and let the love come through. Of course, not all Valentins use this night for good but it was a chance that had to be taken. Students are asked to attend the ball to not only be open and true with themselves but as an opportunity to get to know other students.

The ball was commencing now, the doors wide open. The air was fresh and smelled of roses and servants waited for the students to arrive and be served food. Tonight- anything could happen.

"Thanks. We could go out and save time, or I could make us something. Either one will do." Ashley suggested. "Ooh, what's that amazing smell?" She asked, rushing over to the window. Ashley looked over the windowsill to locate the thing that was emitting the glorious smell. She then saw golden lights inside shining in large, arched windows and an open double door. Ashley knew that that was where the smells were from. The rain had ceased, and a the sun was just slightly peeking out from over the hills. The ball had just commenced. "Shoot, Jay! The ball started already. Think that we could still make a quick shopping trip?" Ashley suggested. She knew that she wasn't much of a shopper, and didn't take long shopping trips if she went shopping at all, so she wouldn't take long.

India's eyes darted toward the window with its curtains drawn. The sun began to turn into a vibrant orange over the horizon. The statues and miniature monuments shadows felt as if they had an eerie vibe to them. She stared at the envelope that lay on her desk on the left side of the room. She knew she'd forgotten something, an event. She emptied the contents of the envelope over the desk, an invite made of glitter and what felt like magic reflecting the orange light that had peered into the room. The ball. Shoot. She raised a hand to her head in an uncomfortable manner. She scrambled through her bags to find her evening wear.

She pulled out a microscopic long dress, she knew if she put it on as a smaller creature it would expand to fit her body. She hesitated before setting it down on her bed. Everyone would be dressing nicer than I would, not that I'll be making many friends. The thought of seeing other people gave a sense of anxiousness. Although she wouldn't mind making some friends, seeing other people would just remind her how secluded her species were. She shook her head, dismissing the thought. Her legs led her to the bathroom which was tiled in white with a cream-ish marble topped basin. A shower made of glass and a bath made of porcelain. Her toiletries tucked closer towards the mirror. She stared at herself for a minute. She looked so different now compared to the mirror at her own home.

She relieved herself of her clothing, chucking it into a huge pile closer to the door. Her hand reached for the dial that made the shower roar to life. Steam emitting from the shower head instantly. She felt at peace when taking the time to have a shower. Her wings weren't always visible, so she didn't have to worry about them a whole lot. Her wing design was tattooed to her back, but if she wanted to fly, the tattoo would become 3D and meld off her back. She had the tattoo so it was easier to shower, as it is rule number one, never get your wings wet.

Miles continued to inch forward towards her, hearing her words coming off of her. The energy that flowed off of her was unbelievable, although her words made him feel even more special. So, I'm new to you huh? He slightly stepped back as her eyes rolled into a jet black. That should just make me more interesting in your favours. Also, I could say the same to you. Never seen anyone's eyes turning jet black at will.

entering a new school was always scary. one was never sure if they would fit in with the crowd. if they'd find someone to hang out with. or if they'd have a good time or not. going to a new school was tough and as he stared up at the ancient castle known as red moon university tyler felt a rush of adrenaline course through his veins. new things weren't exactly a thing that he liked. sure a new shirt was nice. maybe a new phone. but new faces and new places weren't always the nicest. the people could either be kind and accepting or cold and rejecting. ((look at me with all these rhymes)) and tyler was sure that he would get lost in such a large place. he was directionally challenged and this school looked like it had many floors and corners and rooms to be navigated. shouldering the bag that he had with him and gripping onto the handle of his guitar case the vampire pushed his way through the large wooden doors. entering the foyer tyler was struck with something magical ,, that's probably because this place is magical ,, however this was a different type of magic. the place was very old looking seeming to come right out a fairy tale. the walls seemed to hold secrets of the past that it has seen. different hallways led off in different directions and staircases led up to many floors.

now the question was which staircase and which floor led to his dorm room. that was the first struggle that he encountered. glancing off down the corridor to his right then to his left tyler sighed. and the adventure begins. not seeing any signs anywhere the vampire goes with his instinct and starts down one of the nearby hallways. this proved to not be a place where the dormitories were. no matter because tyler trekked on and only found some classrooms down a different section of the castle. and thus around and around he went trying to find where the dorms were. left and right. up and down. nothing seemed right. ((more rhymes!)) until finally he gave up. it was no use walking around in circles trying to find a place he didn't know the location of. so why even try? yup. what a great mentality. leaning against the wall he slid down into a sitting position. maybe someone would come around and help him out. resting his head back against the wall tyler stared up at the ceiling. the halls were pretty silent which was a bit unsettling. he wasn't used to complete silence. there was always some sort of background noise back home whether is be the sound of birds chirping high in the trees ,, cars driving along the street ,, his annoying sisters being annoying. but at the moment all he heard was the sound of silence.

then the soft noises of an instrument sifted its way through the quiet halls. tyler recognized it as a piano. an instrument that he enjoyed hearing as well as playing ,, however he was much better at guitar. the noise was coming from a close by room which meant someone was around. possibly someone who could help him find his dorm. on the other hand now as he thought about it tyler wasn't exactly sure about talking to a stranger. did he want to waste away in the halls for the rest of his life or find his nice soft bed and rest? the former won him over. pushing himself up to his feet tyler grabbed his bag and guitar case and started toward where the sound of the piano was coming from. it wasn't a long walk ,, just a few yards down the hall ,, until he came to a stop outside of an open door. peering in he took not of the different instruments strewn about. it was a music room. he was happy to know that the university had one. it would be a place where he could come to rest and refuel after a long day. that is if he remembered where it is. his eyes scanned the room and feel upon a figure at the piano. a guy probably around his age with blonde hair. for a moment tyler stood in the doorway and listened to him play.

pulling off her saddle bags she gently laid them on the floor and took a look around. the room was decent and big enough for her. there wasn't much in it but being a simple centaur elysha didn't need much. however she would need to add in a few plants here and there. possibly a tree? and some animal inhabitants to make the place truly feel lie home. hopefully her roommate wouldn't mind too much! however the bed was impractical. she would never be able to use it. the bed frame would break underneath the weight of her! why would the school staff even offer her a bed knowing full well that she couldn't use it. pulling the mattress off of the bed and she laid it on the ground next to the fame. it would do for now though she did wonder if she'd ever use it. elysha was sure she'd be sleeping outside more than in the room. no matter. she could just replace the stuffing with grass or hay if need be. on that note elysha grabbed her bow and quiver full of arrows ,, slinging both item around her back ,, and started for the door. she backed herself out of the room and shut the door. being inside would get annoying fast if she had to constantly be squeezing her way through doors. trotting down through the hallways she listened to the sound of her hooves hitting against the floor and echoing off of the walls. it was a little annoying to hear the noise reverberating throughout the building. a deer could hear he sneaking up from miles away like that! why wasn't the ground dirt or mud? humans. such strange phenomenons. she should read up about them later and learn as much as she can about their interesting ways of life. however at the moment she wondered if there was a shooting range here where she could use her bow.

Fritz made his way into the boy's dorms, and pushed open the door into his one. Dorm 6, sharing it with Drew. He plonked his stuff on the floor, chose a bed and left again. He went around, looking for some people. He found a room, where a blonde guy he hadn't seen before was playing the piano, and another, ginger boy watching him in the doorway. It looked like he was about to leave. Fritz slipped into the doorway beside the guy, and said a quiet greeting, as not to disturb the blond boy playing the piano.

for a few moments tyler simply stood in the doorway listening to the soft melody reverberate through the room. tyler didn't know who the guy on the piano was but he excelled at playing it. while tyler knew how to play the piano he wasn't the best at it. he sometimes got confused with what key made which sound and so he would produce the wrong notes. it was embarrassing to play a song wrong so tyler typically just stuck to the instruments he knew more about ,, string instruments. meanwhile here was a guy who was playing the piano perfectly without any fault. tyler was somewhat jealous. not wishing to intrude any longer however tyler was about to back away and leave to try and find his dorm again. maybe he could find someone else who was less busy to help him. although as he was about to leave the vampire felt another presence come up beside him and utter a quiet greeting. the sudden appearance of another startled the boy and caused him to tense up. glancing over to the new presence tyler quickly stepped out from the doorway and into the hall. the gesture may of been taken as rude but tyler did not enjoy the close proximity to the other boy. he was just too awkward for his own good and it showed. looking at the other tyler wondered where he had come from. usually tyler could detect the presence of others before they managed to sneak up beside him. but this time he didn't. it probably was because he was too engrossed in listening to the lovely piano music. hello ,, he softly replied.
