Lennox "Lenny" Ross | Male | 26 | Homosexual | Location: Town | Human | Crush: None | Tags: Open
Lenny stood in front of the remains of a rotting building that was once a grocery store. He had scavenged through the shelves that still stood and managed to find a few cans of soup and canned fruit and veggies. He had bagged the goods before continuing the search before realizing the effort was rather pointless. Most of the food items he had ran across were disintegrated into ash or smelt rancid. Most of the canned goods were in the possession of another being and the only people who could eat well were the doomsday preppers, and Lenny was not one of those. He knew they held great amounts of food, water, medicine, even entertainment, but he was one of the unfortunate that couldn't manage the luxury of living several feet in the ground in a metal box. For some reason the idea just didn't appeal to him. Lenny huffed before kicking an ashy beam that used to hold the store up. Dust burst into the air and he stumbled back from the toxic fume that was released. He pinched his nose before walking away from the nonexistent aisle down another one in hopes of finding medicine.
Ellie Ross | Female | 18 | Pansexual | Location: Outskirts | Mutant | Power: Assassins Blades| Crush: N/A | Tags: Open
Ellie stood on the outskirts where life is just barely beginning to breathe back into the land. She left her sister back in the town where she was safer. Her sister wasn't cursed like she was and part of her was angry, but she also knew how guilty Erion felt and so she tried to ignore the slow bubbling anger in the pit of her stomach. She also knew the two of them were in a tight situation. Erion couldn't survive on her own; Ellie loves her sister to death, but they both know her twin is inadequate in such a destroyed world. The worst part is joining a group is practically impossible. Mutants and humans hate one another and since Ellie refuses to leave Erion alone it leaves just the two of them living further from "society" than before. Ellie's ultimate fear is what if something happens to her, then who will take care of Erion? The notion always gave her nightmares, but there was nothing to truly be done about the situation except hope that Erion's survival skills start to kick in. Ellie frowned and glanced through the forest with her body close to the trees. She had been wandering for a while and was close to the river. They needed food and since Erion couldn't hunt yet, she let her sister eat the canned goods while she went out and found what was edible, if anything. Ellie stretched her arms before flexing her fingers and having claws shoot out. She gripped onto the nearest tree that looked to be able to hold her weight and began to climb up until she was on a sturdy branch near the top. Ellie sat down and swung her legs over, looking over the landscape for prey to hunt.
Seth Fen & Buckbeak | Male | 24 | Demi/Pan | Location: River | Mutant| Powers: Avian Syncing, Phasing | Crush: N/A | Tags: Buckbeak, Open
Seth stood on the edge of the river and grimaced at how disgusting the water looked. And to think, this was the drinkable water. He held back a gag before bending down and lowering his water bottle into the stream, watching it flow and fill his canister. He knew how careful everyone, human and mutant, had to be so as to not completely dwindle their water supply. Seth knows the moment the river becomes too low he is taking Buckbeak and flying to a new land. He had hopes that some places were better, maybe they had greenery and fruit and vegetables and animals to eat rather than whatever he managed to scavenge up now. The water bottle was full so he lifted it from the river and screwed on the cap before placing it in his pack and staring into the flowing water. His eyes were pitch black and he looked much older than he was. His hair was just as dark except for a bright blond streak that ran from the front of his head. Seth always knew life was hard, but he was starting to wonder if maybe the world was just a huge joke and he was the punchline. Wiping the stress from his eyes, he looked up and watched from across the river the endless expanse of nuclear land.
