Escobar is a rather trusting wolf. He is more of the straightforward type and neither interested nor good at mind games. However things appear at first is how he will likely assume they actually are. It is a simple way to live, and Escobar can display some surprising wisdom when his unusual way of seeing things helps him realize something that others missed in their overthinking. He is also competitive, and loves a friendly challenge. Even when there is not a spoken contest, Escobar often interprets activities as challenges when they do not necessarily have to be. He is superstitious, and often attributes events he cannot understand to some sort of supernatural entity. When a clever wolf catches on to his naive nature, they can have quite a lot of fun convincing him of absurd things, which Escobar will likely believe until proven otherwise. Escobar is also something of a "howl connoisseur". He has taken great care to perfect his own voice and is proud of the melodious tunes he can produce. For him, howling is so much more than a communication method. It is an art form. Anyone he judges to have a superb howl will easily win his respect.

Escobar has spent his life in a series of transitions. He has spent time as a pack wolf and a loner, a wanderer and a settler. He was initially born into a large pack, but never quite felt at home there. When the pack became large enough to require a split into two smaller packs, Escobar decided he would strike out on his own and see what the world had to offer. He would occasionally team up with other loners, but he has never settled into another pack after his first experience with one. Escobar intends to continue searching for a place where he feels truly at home, though he began to wonder if there is such a place in the world. Then, he arrived on a stretch of land with varied environments and a growing population of lone wolves hoping to start something there. The opportunity was too good to pass up, and Escobar is searching for either a wolf or a location that speaks to him as his potential forever home. He is on fairly good terms with several of the local males, and has developed a soft spot for Kayla. She is beautiful and seems nice enough, but Escobar wants to get to know her better before he sets his heart on any specific future.
