calista was born to the mara pack many years ago, to the ruling pair of alphas; misty and dominic. she was one of three; the only girl, but her two brothers didn't make it past their adolescence. growing up, she was molded to be the next ruler of the pack, and then her parents were killed within a year of each other. misty was killed by a human hunter, saving a pup's life, and dominic died in a battle with another pack. calista took over as the alpha when she was three years old, and had been in power for a year when a fire wiped them out. she began her search for a new pack.if one things for sure, calista is truly not a female to be messed with. she is a born leader whose strengths are many, but whose flaws still exist too. her love and loyalty for the pack know no bounds. if she ever feels there is a traitor within her midst, she will not fear calling for blood to be spilled. in her mind, the pack is only strong if it is dedicated to each other. weaknesses must be openly examined and improved upon, or they will rip apart the pack instead of uniting it. calista may appear very harsh to some, but she is not cruel or unfair. she does all things for the good of the pack, even if many do not see that right away, ultimately she believes they will understand her reasoning and accept what must be done.

Sayan is the sort of wolf who will say what she really feels every time. She is at least tactful about her honesty, but she is always honest. Sayan has a great love of life and tends to handle challenges with a sort of gutsiness that is either brave or stupid, depending on an observer's opinion. For Sayan, life is too short for "what ifs". She would rather leap in and see how things go. It has worked out pretty well for her so far. Her resourcefulness and willingness to take risks often leads her to opportunities, though can sometimes end in disaster.
Sayan enjoys company and does get lonely when she spends too much time on her own. When she feels comfortable, she will reveal a sarcastic, innocently flirty side. Sayan will flirt a bit with anyone and usually does not mean anything serious by it, so she can sometimes attract other wolves unintentionally. While she is not above entertaining such notions to some extent, Sayan will be a little more particular about choosing a true mate. She does not know exactly what she is looking for in a long-term commitment, but feels she will know if and when it comes to her. For those looking to make a better impression, her favorite food is yams. Sayan will be forever grateful to any willing to dig one up for her.

Sayan was born into a pack and spent her first few years there. She was happy for a time, but a flood ended that. Sayan was swept away in the flood waters and carried miles away. By the time she found her way back, there was a lake where she used to call home, and her family was nowhere to be found. So, she wandered, and came to settle near a sheep farm in the middle of nowhere. For a few months, life was lonely, but her belly was always full. Then, something extremely strange happened.
It all started when Sayan was suddenly stung by a strange insect. It was a huge as a finch, with colorful feathers for a tail, yet the sting was more like a horsefly, and it stayed stuck in her flesh when it stung her, so it could not have been a bird. Shortly afterwards, the effects of the venom kicked in, and she fell asleep. When she woke up, she was confined. All around here were cold, hard walls that were perfectly smooth and slippery like ice. She was bouncing around as if she was moving, and covered in human scents. Eventually, the bouncing stopped, and she heard human voices all around the outside of the box as they lifted it up and set it down again. When the door opened to reveal forest on the other side of a meadow, Sayan wasted no time in running for freedom. The humans never chased her, and few believe her when she relays the story, but her memory does not lie.
Sayan has made herself comfortable in this strange new place. There are several other lone wolves about, but no packs. She has already met a few of the other wolves and gets along with some better than others. Diana seemed nice enough at first, but Sayan got the impression the she-wolf was hiding something. She is mildly suspicious, but has no idea what Diana is truly capable of.
Tyr made a much better impression on Sayan. He was rough, of course, but Sayan prefers to know what a wolf really thinks, so she respected that. She shared prey with him once, and that seemed to help. Sayan hopes he will warm up a little more to her. It would be nice to have a friend after being more or less alone for so long.
