TERROR
one steps foot upon the grounds of terror and they do not return to where they came. and
if they do happen to, then they are not the dog they once were. no other will know the tr
ue horror that these brutes felt until they encounter the forces of evil that inflicted it up
on them; the greaven empire.
unforgiving, barbarous, evil; these are all words used to describe the dogs that inhabit th
e thickly-forested grounds of the kingdom. they are words, as to be true in time, that will
be used again and again for certain. they aren't ones to change their ways, for down to th
e slightest details, traditions from times centuries ago that may now be irrelevant are stil
l shining through a cloud of evident change. but, as you may be wondering, why are do th
ey keep times of old alive when change could be so great? well, my fellows, the ways of o
ld they have sworn upon keeps them alive. a soldier's happiness does not matter when he
is fighting for the cause of many. a mother's happiness does not matter when she is birthi
ng a generation of new soldiers that will inhabit the empire after their time. a doctor's h
appiness does not matter when he is healing the sick and injured in the hardest of times.
the only thing that matters to these dogs is this one thing ; will we make it to tomorrow?███

└────────────────────────┘the greaven empire follows and serves under a single god named Mikhail.
it is believed that he has the capability to control or contort every single
aspect of their lives, thus causing a difference in their ways compared to
others. specifically their fear of failure. if they fail, they fear death as t
he consequence, for it has been proven that if a dog fails Mikhail, he will
take their life as a consequence for their wrongdoings. certain things tha
t they do different from others may mean failure to these dogs when it d
oes not mean failure to others. in order to keep their god pleased and at
peace, every dog gathers each day to worship him and pay their respects.
there is a certain routine carried out by the priestess each day that is sig
nificant to how they practice. for one, they always meet in a specific roo
m or area that has been blessed by the priestess. each meeting is the sa
me, but sometimes an extra event is included. this could be a ceremony
of the sleyric, a highly-symbolic practice in which every dog that enters
or joins the empire is branded using a fire and a burning stick. this is not
only to mark their status, but it is also to permanently brand them as on
e with Mikhail and empire, for wherever they go in life, they will always
be known as someone who was a part of the infamous greaven empire ...in the heart of a forest filled with towering trees, a bedding of pine needles underpaw, a strange formation pokes out of the vegeta
tion. this formation of rock looks… artificial. could it be man made? no, it couldn’t be, not in the middle of the forest! well, my frie
nds, you are wrong; this formation is man made. many many moons ago, this serene forest was invaded by the humans, and they du
g deep into the earth, following tunnels to go deep beneath the ground. fortunately, the mine did not last long, and only a few yea
rs or so later they had been shut-down and relocated. the tunnels they dug and the formations they built were left untouched, and
soon taken over by nature once more.
the wells are ravines left by the miners that have now created a secretive hideout for the kennel to roost during the night. the gly
fs are the various steep hills that surround their main residence, the wells. these formations create a natural barrier around them
from predators or rogues, but it also proves to be one of the main reasons why the ravines will flood with water during the rainiest
seasons, as the rain carries down their slopes and rushes into the valley. the grove is a small valley adjacent to the wells, just ove
r a pair of glyfs. this valley, rich in prey, is also a prominent source of herbs for the priestess and her attendants to gather. the old
man’s farm is a single twoleg settlement a good distance from the kennel. at this farm, countless plump sheep roam throughout f
enced pastures, posing as perfect prey. the rushing is a river access point that is easy to reach but dangerous to stay at for too lon
g. right next to this area is a twoleg town that is much more populated and busy with threats that could potentially harm the kenn
el if they stay in the area for too long. it is, however, a great place for fishing. the human village is a place no dog goes to nor tal
ks much of. they have simply learned to avoid it and nearing it at any and all times. ( the full map can be viewed here. )┌──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐│

Not many would willingly venture into the dark, dank depths of an abandoned mine shaft, and yet the dogs of the Crystalline Militia seem to thrive there. The dust of old is a welcome smell to the snouts of the Militia because it means something treasured is nearby - crystals. The dogs of the Crystalline Militia would sell their pelt and soul for a pawful of pretty gems which they would then transform into gem-studded collars, earrings or even the occasional bracelet. There are only three laws in the world of the Militia - one, listen to your commander and major even at the cost of your life. Two, the art of creating never leaves home. Finally, law three, you never touch a gem you didn't dig up with your own paws unless you're looking for a fight. More often then not the third law is overlooked and fights occur within the Militia on a daily basis. Murder isn't necessarily allowed within the kennel, however, if there is no witness then the death is simply seen as an accident. However, if another member of the militia witnesses the crime and can testify then the murderer is executed and their gems stripped from them then thrown into the never-ending pool.
The dogs of the Militia tend to be medium or large size though they generally aren't very bulky. They need to be agile and sleek as they frequently rush about the abandoned mine. Because of these reasons, Sighthounds are praised for their slender forms above all others. The Militia has gained a reputation of being skilled mercenaries and exchange a quick, silent kill for metals, woods and other things can use to craft their beautiful collars and jewelry.
As for temperament these dogs come across as cold and callous - to the point and quick to handle business they don't dally around for idle chatter. Within their own home they are.. interesting. They love one and other but only to the extent that business can be handled. As stated previously, murder is often happening so close ties cannot be afforded in this realm. Manipulative and cunning these dogs live only for the precious gems they collect though a few have managed to create families which they cherish almost as much as their pretty stones. often called the dragons of the dog world they're greedy and selfish with their hoards of pretties.
