It got so cold. It was the hardest winter the wolves of Jasper Forest had ever encountered.
The blizzards where so intense. So many wolves got injured and many died. The prey was
gone. It had vanished. Sometimes it would get as low as -53 degrees. A few wolves left the pack.
Lots, just suffered. You could see their ribs, and they were weak. The weather wasn't helping.
Finally, majority of the Jasper Forest wolves died off. But only three out of thirty survived.
Malcolm, Sakuna, and Anaya. These three managed to survive but barely. Malcolm was the
former pack leader, his sister, Anaya had caught a deer and was living off that. Sakuna ate
little bits of Anaya's meat. The three left Jasper forest in search of a new land. But they
cannot survive alone. Now, after the loss of Sakuna and Malcolm, Anaya has risen to Alpha
spot, facing a battle between good and evil, can she lead her pack to victory? discussion

The air was chilly and the snow drizzled down slightly. I woke up from my slumber and stretched out my back and raised my head from the bed I had made. My stomach growled slightly and I shook my head and forced myself to emerge from the warmness of my den and adventure out into the snow. The camp was quiet and it seemed not another wolf had stirred from their slumber.

I went under a nearby tree and laid down underneath it, the snow not hitting me as hard now. It felt as if the snow would never end and the prey would continue to be scarce. Yet, this tiny and new pack continued to thrive and grow.

Akima was grumbling. This is just perfect! she thought to herself I've woken up late and I'm hungry and now It's snowing again! She scolded herself at her unusual behavior. Akima stopped in her track as she had caught sight of Acadia laying down under a tree "..." her head tiled in confusion "Acadia" she said in a gentle voice as she made her way over to the she-wolf "What're you doing out here in the cold?"

I was focused on the snow falling that I did not notice the beta she-wolf come outside of her den. The snow still drizzled down but it was starting to cease to barely anything. The ground was recovered in white, no tracks to be seen in camp except Akima's. "Hello," I said softly to not wake another wolf, "I was waiting for the snow to stop," I said then paused to sniff the air. " I am hoping to get some prey caught now that I can see the tracks and only fresh ones are appearing."

It felt nice out today. Her tail wagged side to side. ''I should
visit Anaya.'' she mumbled as she padded into the medicine

Luna woke up feeling a little colder than normal. She didn’t know why for a moment, but then she realised; Malcolm wasn’t in the den with her. She peered out, seeing him underneath a tree. She clambered out of her dan and walked over, her ears pricked and tail held high. She relished the cool, crunchy feel of the snow beneath her paws. Licking Malcolm’s ear affectionately, she sat down next to him. “What’s on your mind, Malcolm?” She asked. He looked a little concerned, but Luna knew that it wouldn’t be anything to worry about. They would be alright.

At the Medicine Den

The fresh, brilliant-white snowflakes contrasted handsomely with Parkestia's midnight fur. Had she been the sort to care more about appearances, she would have been pleased with the image she struck. However, she was not. Instead, the experienced beta laid in the snow, quietly watching the rest of the pack awaken as she flexed her pads into the ivory powder. Puffs of steam rose from her gently-parted mouth, but she could have otherwise been a statue. Then, Park turned her head and destroyed that illusion.
She was checking on the alphas, to see if there were any orders for her this morning, though the sight that greeted her said otherwise. It seemed Malcolm and Luna were lost in a tender moment, and Park hesitated to disturb them. It was difficult to get time alone as a higher-ranked wolf, as she knew all too well, so she was determined to preserve their solitude for as long as she could. Most of the other wolves were still asleep or in the early stages of waking, so there was no need to rush the morning routine. In fact, seeing as she had a little time on her paws, Parkestia thought she might visit Anaya.
It seemed that Park was not the only wolf to get that idea, since the first thing she saw when she looked over to the medicine den was Sakuna disappearing into it.
"Oh boy...", Park sighed.
She was well aware of Sakuna's issues with Anaya, and immediately felt the need to ensure that Sakuna did not try to start something. With a soft grunt, Park stood, stretched her spine, and then padded across the snowy clearing towards the den, leaving fresh prints behind her.

At the Densite

There were times when having white fur was not very convenient, but this was not one of those times. Lily slept soundly out in the open, a light blanket of snow covering her, as if she were nothing more than a boulder to be swallowed in white. Her thick fur kept her warm and dry, and the color provided excellent camouflage in the winter, though the summer was another story.
It was only when some of the other wolves began to stir that Lily drifted away from her dreams and back to reality. She sleepily blinked her eyes open and glanced around without moving her head. Her darting dark amber eyes were the only clues that she was no longer asleep, as several other wolves were.
Not much was happening yet. Akima and Acadia were talking to each other, and it looked like park was heading into the medicine den. Perhaps she had woken up with a headache? The only other wolves who were awake were the alpha pair, and Lily felt her stomach knots itself together as she watched them sit side by side, trading affections and murmuring sweet nothings to each other. A soft, uncomfortable whine escaped Lily as she dug her claws into the snow and turned her head away from the happy couple. There was nothing to do but try to ignore it.
