I actually just remembered a question. Sometimes sunny will sit in the bathtub, and just meow. He doesn't pee in it, and he's fixed, so im just really confused why he does it. Does anybody elses cats do that?

      how cute!

percy and tiny do that as well. i'm not sure what it is about the tub they like ((at least when it's not full of water)). but they'll sit or lie in it. cats are just strange creatures that do strange things

I have this cat. He really hates me. He's peed on my bed like 5 times in the past moth. I just got a new mattress, and I don't want it to get ruined.
His litter box is almost always kept clean, and he's allowed outdoors, so I'm not sure why he does it. Help?

Is he neutered? Has he been to the vet?
Male cats will mark their territory if they're not neutered. So if he's still intact, he might view your bed as his turf.
If he's neutered, then there's a possibility that he might have something wrong internally that's causing him discomfort. When cats have bladder infections, for example, they won't use their litterbox because they either associate the pain they're feeling when urinating with the litterbox, or because it hurts them to use the litterbox, so they'll find other places to relieve themselves. They may also choose to urinate in areas that their owners frequent as a way to tell them that something is wrong. Definitely have him checked over by the vet.
If neither of these could be the cause, then try keeping your bedroom door closed whenever you're not in the room, if you can. If he can't get to your bed, then he should start using his box again.
If you can't close your door, then you might want to consider getting a different litterbox. Some cats can be picky with their boxes. If they feel it's not big enough, sometimes they just won't use it because it's too uncomfortable for them.

We haven't had a chance to get him neutered. And he's rarely in my room, and our other (spayed) cat usually is in there, so I'm unsure. He never goes on any body's bed but mine, and it's always in the exact same spot as well.

i don't think he hates you. however much like queenie said there may be medical issues ,, but another possibility is the outside itself. are there any strays outside? it's possible that these strays cause him to mark your bed as his.

@kitty_cat_meow_face ahh how cute! what's their name?

There was one stray before, but since it was attacking our dogs and cats, we removed it from the area. That was months ago, so I'm quite certain that wouldn't account to this. And he also likes everyone in the house much more than me. He'd more likely mark my parent's bed, since that's were he sleeps every morning.

My cats like to lay in the bath tub too. Wynnie will roll around in it and attack my hand if I lay it on the edge.
I think the reason a lot of cats like things like bath tubs and sinks is because they're usually very cool, which feels especially nice if it happens to be a hot Summer day.

It's more than likely because he's not neutered and wants to claim territory from your other cat. Try to get him neutered as soon as possible, not only so he'll stop marking on your bed, but also so he doesn't go and find any female strays and get them pregnant.

My 21 year old cat, Squeeky, just passed away last night. She was definitely the best cat I ever had. That last week was rough for her. I pray she did not die in pain, and knowing I loved her.

@Stumpy.
And if you want my opinion on the wetting the mattress subject, you 100% need to get him neutered asap! As someone who works at an animal shelter, nothing makes me more mad and frustrated then someone who not only does not spay/neuter their pets, but also lets them outside when it has not been done. Wetting the mattress can be caused by many things (medical, stress, territory, etc), but being neutered may help the situation all together. My cat used to wet my bed too, and it was done by stress. So I worked with her to fix her stress issues. I also don't let her in my bedroom anymore, which might just be the easiest fix. However if his is due to stress/medical/territory, he's just gonna find something else to pee on.

may she find her way to a better life 🙏 rest in peace. losing animals is the worst, I hope as well that she passed peacefully.

y'all my cat is eating cardboard and it's beginning to show with the way she throws up so much and it makes her .. waste ... stink quite a bit.

any tips? I've tried the spray bottle, taking her away from cardboard, putting her on the porch and such when I catch her. but it's been months and she does it again and again. it's not digesting properly and normally I don't care if she eats random things like bugs as long as it doesn't hurt her, but it is starting to become a problem.

here's a picture of said hooligan, my baby girl athena 🙏 she's a year old and our anniversary with her is coming up in late November. I love her more than just about anything though she has ruined our furniture beyond belief.

What sort of thing is the cardboard she's eating? If it's just random boxes lying around, I recommend either moving them somewhere she can't get to or getting rid of them as soon as possible. If the cardboard is something you want to keep or you can't get rid of it yet, try putting something on it that tastes bad to cats. Once she begins to associate eating cardboard with the bad taste, she should stop eating it.

You could try rubbing citrus runs on it, that usually seems to deter cats and doesn't make things wet...

There's a bitter apple spray you can get to put on things to stop cats from chewing on them. You could also make it yourself, there are plenty of DIY recipes online. I would also suggest changing her diet up a bit. There's a possibility she's chewing on cardboard because she's missing out on some nutrients in her normal diet. Of course there is also the possibility she's doing it because she's bored or because she likes the taste/how it feels. My cat likes to chew on plastic just because she likes the way it sounds, cats can definitely be weird.
