lol the grown scarf dogs and their original adoption limit of 15 instead of the intended 3-5 or whatever it was... Even people deleting their extras once they saw that the 15 limit was a mistake apparently didn't put enough of a dent in the numbers. Goes to show just how small of a percentage of users might be active forum users

Some of those numbers are surprising, even for me, and I've been active since 2008 except for April 2010 - August 2011. Darn forum influence -shakes fist-

It's going to be interesting to see how the list changes once we get the rereleases in there. Will also be interesting to see if any VRs remain above any OMGSRs once we're finally done. If that does happen, I personally expect that the discrepancy will be small enough that we could probably not feel too bad about just putting all OMGSRs above all VRs and then sorting within each of those rarity tags. Dunno what we'd do if there's a giant discrepancy... (like if it turns out there are only 1000 Elf Rats but 5000 Dogtags--again, I'm not expecting any big differences like that to happen, but who knows, maybe a highly successful OMGSR hoarder quietly went inactive idk)
Spread the word to end the word, because discrimination based on perceived or actual IQ/"intelligence" is no better than discrimination based on race, gender, etc.

Context, consistency, and clear antecedents are golden.

Those numbers sure look interesting haha itll be great to see what the rereleases do eventually. Like how much it allters all of the numbers!

The only way it would show very rares to be higher than the omgsr pets is because we are counting all pets and not just pets on active accounts. What would we do if something like this happened?

For my suggestion, I think we should place all omgsr pets above the vr pets. If this were to occur, here is an example and what I think we should do.

Example:
Omgsr1 - 320
Omgsr2 - 280
Omgsr3 - 240
Very Rare1 - 500
Very Rare2 - 610
Very Rare3 - 290

As you can see, if we were to place the list without considering all omgsr's first, it would be like this:
Omgsr3
Omgsr2
Very Rare3
Omgsr1
VeryRare1
VeryRare2

Now if we were to bump up all omgsr above the very rares but kept the very rares in their order seperately, it would look like this:
Omgsr3
Omgsr2
Omgsr1
VeryRare3
VeryRare1
VeryRare2

I suggest we should bump up all omgsr's above the very rares.

    we only have data for one year. it may stabilize with more rereleases so i dont think were worried about it quite yet. keep that in mind for when were closer to bringing the list into fruition. ^^

    they will be counted. i'm sorry for not making that clear! they're pretty small sets, 100-300k ids it looks like so should only take a few hours but were working chronologically from 2008 to present so itll be a hot minute. ^^

Just to add in: It may effect how the numbers are and rarities so it is important those are included. Plus that’s when many URS are released so we kind of have to. =)

Tho I’m curious, do we have all the ID ranges for each rerelease...?

The rerelease data should correct the VR above OMGSR issues, which is why we are back counting instead of using the original release data on its own.

Super excellent work thus far!
I'd volunteer to help run the scripts but I'm in Australia so don't have access to good internet =P
