Emmelene Castellanos I Werewolf I Hunter I Tags; Emery, Adam, Blair, Scott
The first thought to come into her head was to skirt the question. Fine. She was a clever, generally speaking, and a good talker. It made up for the physical weakness, she was told. And she really didn't want to straight up tell her Dad she'd been shot again, for the second time in three days. The last one was only just beginning to finish healing up.
"I cut my leg on some of the razor-wire fencing," she muttered, gesturing at the raised weal just above her ankle, visible through the slash in her pants, where - a few hours before - there'd been an huge gash. Strictly speaking, that answered the question she'd been asked. Had anybody else asked the question, she'd have left it at that quite happily.
But she just caught her Dad's gaze and sighed.
"The hidden guy got me. Wasn't either of the ones you faced down, so there must have been a third guy. I think he got one of my hamstring muscles... Bastard. Bullet went right through, though, so I should be okay once Danny sorts this out."
She shook her head, muttered a few more choice curse words, not particularly caring if her Dad could hear her act so unladylike this time around.
"He get you too?"

Adrian D'Arc I Human I Blade Team Leader I Tags; Kat, Bronwyn, Theo
That almost made him chuckle. Almost. For a guy who didn't really have a sense of humour, that was a start.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that he does like to make an entrance, alright."
Moving the map so the brunette could see it, he tapped the spot he guessed to be their location, give or take twenty metres. He was good with maps, and although Jasper wasn't exactly similar to the Bahrani desert he'd learned to fly in as a teenager, the method was always the same.
"And okay, Kat, I'd appreciative that. My laptop's not with me, but there should be a reply of some kind when we get back. So, we're probably about here. That puts us at around five miles from this main building. I'd say a real wolf could probably run at... maybe thirty-ish miles per hour? Add a little more distance, factoring in that these things are huge and have a supernatural turbo, and we're maybe looking at fifty miles per hour, maybe? Considering a cheetah flooring it hits seventy-five miles per hour, that's fast. Actually, that's almost a mile a minute, so on foot they could cover this distance in five or six minutes, say ten factoring in the terrain, and assuming these guys don't have ridiculous sprinting stamina and that they occasionally have to stop for cover, we could maybe bump that up to fifteen minutes to Jasper's northern edge, at a sprint. Twenty to thirty at a steady run. Probably forty in human form, if the abilities transfer. They could be over here" - he poked at the closest of the attack sites - "in maybe fifty minutes."
He glanced over to his companion, eyebrow raised, then sighed and checked his smartwatch.
"You know what? Screw it. It's getting dark and I don't want to be out here any longer than I have to. I've made that mistake before. Plus, that's where all our stuff is. And Theo also set up all the sensors and alarms, and whilst I trust his abilities, I don't really trust them to that extent. Take us straight back. I'll let Ford know myself while we go, okay?"

DANNYWEREWOLF MEDICTAGGED; Mark, Aspat, Aurora, Jason

xxxxThe sedatives seemed to kick in quickly and the ringing in his sensitive ears didn't phase him. He tugged more harshly on the weapon, falling backwards with the gun lodged in his mouth. Now, the taste of metal wasn't as appealing as it might seem so he curled his lips before letting the gun drop down to the ground before pushing it off to the side with one of his large paws. Someone would have to fix the gun back into safety, as he didn't have any thumbs or fingers at the moment. Danny huffed, his tail drooping against the ground while he watched the last moments of the fight die off into the air. Jason started saying something about not hurting her; to which he scowled and growled softly at. They would have been forced to hurt her if he hadn't showed up to help them.
xxJason wasn't the center of his concerns, however. Danny tilted his ears up and listened closely to Aspat, his heart twisting at the fact that this was the treatment he got right after understanding that he was in this pack now. Danny wouldn't wish this type of experience on anyone, honestly. Slowly pulling himself up from his haunches, the reddish canine trotted over to Aspat carefully. He wasn't sure how Aspat would react to his wolf form coming so close; or anyone's wolf form, for that matter. The wolf whined softly, standing in front of the hunter. There was an apologetic glow in his eyes, his tail tucked downwards and expressing all the emotions on his mind. After a moment he laid himself down in front of Aspat; slowly and tentative. He stared at the other man, dark eyes looking for nothing in particular. The smell of blood was messing with him; he wasn't all that pleased to know that he couldn't put more plaster on Aspat.
xxxxDanny sighed and, after some long seconds, decided to lay his head down on the floor between Aspat's feet. It wasn't that he was upset, being in this form, it was just inconvenient for him. There wasn't anything he could do besides wait his transformation out; unlike some other people, he had no control over when he transformed back into a human. Sometimes, he didn't even have control over his wolf transformation; an example being this scuffle. He hadn't wanted to transform into a wolf but, alas, here he was sitting as a massive dog. The medic had had better moments.

Mark Holloway ~ Male ~ Thirty-Three ~ Werewolf ~ Loner/Former-Beta
Location: Skylar's Basement ~ Tags: Danny, Aspat, Aurora, Jason

When the bullet flew Mark's eyes widened in a moment of panic, assuming it had found it's mark in Aspat but that thought was quickly put to rest when the hunter didn't drop. The woman wasn't going down easy nor without a fight, but Mark put every ounce of his body weight into trying to keep her pinned or at least from breaking free. The man wasn't sure what had been inside the syringe Jason had injected but he understood it needed time to work, which meant they needed to just keep her from hurting anyone until then. She was lashing out, first with kicks, which left Mark's face flinching as a few connected. The man knew full well those were going to leave bruises, however the backwards headbutt she threw his way was easier to dodge by jerking his own back. It was clear her motor functions were slowing or else he might not have been able to move away in time. "Just stay down Aurora!" He barked a warning at her, keeping the arm twisted tight behind her back just as she finally dropped. Mark was no full and wasn't about to stop just because she'd gone down, if he had there'd be nothing preventing her from getting back up.

Jason was calling out from behind him, asking for the woman not to be hurt. Mark had no intention of doing more than necessary but clearly the medic was worried. The mumbling made the former Beta scoff however and look over his shoulder at Jason from his position on top of Aurora, "So you'd rather pretend it never happened. Hope that when she wakes up she doesn't do something stupid like come after one of us for revenge?" Mark just shook his head, that was a stupid idea, blood-lust or not she needed confinement until it could be sorted. "Don't suppose you've got another cell to lock her in?" He asked with little hope behind the words, only just realizing just how tight he held her wrist in his hand. At the realization his grip loosened but knew it'd likely leave bruising, he guessed she wasn't the only one being affected by the full moon. Once again he turned towards Jason, "Blood-lust are you willing to take the chance?" Mark knew all to well what he'd do, but he had no say-so anymore. Danny couldn't speak in his other form so it fell to Jason to fully make the final decision unless he took it to the others. And as much as he'd like to respect that, truthfully he wasn't sure he could really go along with whatever was decided. For the time being he was ignoring the injured hunter and his questions, knowing if something were actually dire Danny would alert them.

Jason Loen I Werewolf I Medic I Tags; Mark
Well, there wasn't much of a response to that. Mark was right, in a way.
"Yeah, that's right! Mark, if we put her down, we're literally no better than... look, just... I've got an empty apartment. Nobody uses it but me, and... well, there's pretty much nobody else on infirmary duty now, so I'll be sleeping here. The rest of the ambi crew pretty much threw a fit and told me I looked like a nervous wreck, so sent me home again. Jeff's splitting my shifts with Tyson, I'd assume, but however they're doing it I'm on enforced sick leave for a while."
He scowled. Shifting his gaze to the fighter now at Mark's feet, he sighed.
"Look, I don't know how well you know - or knew - our Beta, but you know exactly what'll happen if Skylar hears about it. She's been waiting for a valid excuse to put Aurora out of the scene for years, Mark. And if Adam hears about it, take it from me, he'll barely be any more reasonable about it. Sure, he's a good guy, but he's... protective. Particularly of that dang girl. Please, just let me get Aurora out of the way, give her time to cool off. Or if it makes you feel better, I can give you my keys and you can stay with her until she's up, and you can yell at her as much as you like then. I don't know. Don't care. Have a heart to heart. Whatever. But I'm sick of people dying, Mark. Benji's gone - my best friend, Mark - and Blake's gone, since this.. this mutt decided they would be better off six feet under, and I haven't seen any of the rest of my crew for over twenty four hours. I'm fairly sure they've either made a run back to the old pack or been killed off, too. Luka, Tyla, everybody. Gone. Poof. We have nothing. And I'm fairly sure you're sick of this, too."
He ran a inventory, counting off the wolves still standing.
"Adam got shot. Twice. Emmy can't fight. Blair's in fighter order, but you've only gotta mention "hunter" and she gets hysterical. Emery's getting old. So yeah. Including you, that's a single fighter and four barely functioning back-ups, unless old Danny boy here has skills he hasn't told me about. And as much as I refuse to support the argument for killing that bastard off", he continued in a hiss, gesturing at Aspat, "he can't be trusted. So yeah. Unless Danny's secretly a karate black belt, which I doubt, we need everybody that we've got left. I'm willing to take the chance. How about you?"

Blair Strong I Werewolf I Fighter I Tags; Adam, Lance (?), Scott
She glanced at Scott, then back at Adam. He was already turning and walking away.
Blair wasn't aware that she'd been cowering, even slightly, until she finally drew a breath and stepped back. She'd not been expecting that to go so well. The temporary leader's teeth had been glinting in the failing light, and even from the distance that had grown between them she could see a few small bloody streaks smattering the entire group. Nobody was ever lenient in the aftermath of a battle.
"He wants us to follow him."
She sighed. Stating the obvious wasn't really helping.
"Look, if you run now you should make it to the edge of the pack's broader territory. It's maybe twenty miles in every direction from Jasper. Won't help in the long run, sure, but... look, last chance to back out. You still okay?"

//Blair's is short-ish but not sure what to write tbh.

"As we look towards nightfall in our little city of Jasper, we can expect heavy rainfall and possible lightning storms as what the meterological folks are calling a mini-heatwave hits the city. Highs of seventy degrees farenheight are expected in the centre of the valley, whereas you brave folks in the woods can look forward to temperatures in the low-to-mid sixties throughout the day tomorrow. Overnight lows will be at around fourty degrees out of town, though, so remember to wrap up warm if you're outside."
The radio presenter coughed, quickly changing subject.
"And, in tonight's news, the JCPD have admitted to no further leads on the murders of Gregory and Mette Steel," he continued, pronouncing the name "met-tay", "nor any of the attacks that have followed. Current thinking remains on that rabid animals may be responsible, despite arguments from many local wildlife professionals. City citizens are advised to stay indoors as long as possible, stay clear of alleyways, do not leave your house come nightfall wherever possible, etcetera, etcetera, you guys will all know the drill by now.
For those of you far outside the city limit, the recommendation remains of government accomodation inside the city limits until the threat passes, in addition to the standard warning for those further in to carry a rifle if you have no choice but to leave your home, even if you only go a few metres. And, for the foreseeable future, folks, the woods will remain off-limits for all non-residential peoples, with a full ban on hunting. So the standard stuff, guys. I'll hand you to Sheriff Landy, now, for the latest update on the investigation."

There was a cackle of static, lasting a few heartbeats before a new voice broached onto the radio broadcast; older and tougher and battleworn, and as well known and respected to the citizens of Jasper as that of the president.

"Officers have now erected electrified fences across much of the outer woods and patrols have been tripled across the city itself. Within the next few days, armed squads will begin culling the local wolf, skunk, raccon and populations. Wolves themselves rarely act as reservoirs for the disease, but they can pick it up very easily from other species and are infamous for acting exceptionally agressively once they contract it and reach the second stage of infection. The disease does, however, usually kill by the fourth or fifth day. We believe that if we can remove the source of the infection and up the current rabies prevemtion program, we wait the current infection out and can then move to prevent such atrocities curing again. We also ask that all pets and young children are kept indoors until further notice, unless under supervision and, in the case of animals, preferably on a leash. I repeat, all pets are to be kept indoors. And, of course, as our host today has stated, all previous rulings are to remain in place until further notice. Thank you, folks, and goodnight."

{ Species } Blade { Role } Agent { Tags} D'arc, Ford, Bronwyn { Crush } open

I fell silent as i listened to him think aloud, answering my questions about how quick he estimated these beasts of the night were and from his answer, it was alarming they could likely beat any man, foot or not to any of not most of their spots with time to spare, what was even more alarming was the fact that unlike mistakes normal threats made - robbers not accounting for a tripped wire or assassains not planning for us to be one step ahead of them at any given chance they made none, and that's what i think bothered me most, was that they could take out the town, take out our team members and still get away without batting an eye, who the hell were they?! how were they walking right under our nose's and nobody could single them out. Letting out a heavy sigh as i was pulled back into D'arcs speech nodding i let my hands rest now on the steering wheel "So these basically unbeatable demons just got another step above us" I breathed mostly to myself, i'd be lying if i had said we were't some of the best, our team more or less was the best of the best.. but i had no idea how we'd take these things out without loosing more of our men, of each other in the process. Glancing to the soft cracklings of the radio as the soft speech of the towns authorities came over the speakers i listened to what they had to say though wasn't thrilled about the lengths they were going to cover up the truth of what was going on in the heart of their beloved town, rabid animals? really?. Licking my lips as i glanced out the window in the direction we had come from i remained silent until the deputy and sherrif both finished saying their piece before catching the order to head back to HQ and nodding understandingly murmuring a "right away sir" and switching the truck back on it only needing a little bit of coasting before it roared to life and began coasting down the trail once again, headlights blaring ahead of us as they lit our path my senses on high alert as it seemed to grow darker, if that was even possible. Driving for a short time i spoke up once more, glancing back over to D'arc out of the corner of my eye "How long do you think they can keep it quite?? you'd think they'd want the town to help single out these guys at least it could make it easier" I commented with a pained shrug in times of greif and doubt shouldn't they come together instead of retreating into their homes? it was up to them but i couldn't help but suspect whoever didn't abide these warnings from the higher ups and were surely stupid enough to roam the forests and streets at night were now one of the immortals.. it was better then nothing.

Adrian D'Arc I Human I Blade Team Leader I Tags; Kat, Bronwyn, Theo
The team leader relayed the order to the sniper without so much as a glance towards the soldier beside him.
"Ford. Disregard previous orders and proceed directly to HQ. Over."
It wasn't until he had removed his earpiece and closed his eyes that he finally replied, wincing as his land cruiser jolted over another bump every so often.

"Kingson, if the police haven't caught them already, then they won't ever catch them. That's why we're here. We can catch them, and we will. We will. You know that. I promised."
He fell back into silence for the last mile of the journey, but something came over them as they pulled up into the unsettling scape of the empty drive. The arab-american hauled himself out of the vehicle the moment it had slowed to a safe speed and run towards the cabin, knife drawn and a series of rapid-fire gestures for Kat to draw her own weapon emanating from that sole good arm. Two men inside. Take point position. Wait on my command. And, from behind the cover of the door frame, he yelled a harsh challenge, heart racing as seconds ticked by and no answer was heard.
"WEAPONS DOWN AND YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM!"
He almost signalled to attack. But then one voice reached him.
"Aaira."
His sister's name. The codeword he'd chosen at the start of his command, as a way of keeping his loved ones a little closer in his mind, even if it'd be a few years until he could see them again. Hard to pronounce right, even harder to find in the first place. The margin of doubt was small enough for him. For once. Taking a deep breath, he sheathed his knife and gestured vaguely for his closest teammate to do the same, if she hadn't already. "The reinforcements," he murmured to her, "they're finally here."
"Commander Adrian D'Arc, sir. It's an honour to meet you." The voice came from a dark corner of the living room, followed by a rustle as the figure stood and moved forward into the light. "My name is Freeman, sir. Collin Freeman, sir. I apologise deeply if we gave you a surprise, sir."
The second figure was a little less polite. From his position against the wall, the older, more grizzled soldier just nodded and smiled. There was disdain in that smile, and a world-weary look to his eyes, but there was warmth there, too. A friendly face. Good. Rian could do with a couple of those.
"Logan Rodriguez. Call me Loey. Bet you were expectin' us, though, o' course."
D'Arc simply did his best to straighten himself up in response.
"Well, gentlemen, you've certainly got a knack for timing. Thank you for getting here so promptly. I appreciate it. I take it you've been briefed."
"Well, if by "briefed" you mean rudely awoken at six am, shoved onto a fast jet at LAX and lectured by a slightly robotic guy in a suit, then yes." The older one - Loey - tilted his head and laughed, ignoring the disapproving scowl from the other new agent. "That came out a lil' wrong. Wasn't kidnapped or anything. I'm here of my own will. But I believe you guys need a lil' help. So I - we," Loey amended, nodding towards the younger male still in the corner - "Collin" - "got sent here to arrange that. So. Uh, where do we start?"
Adrian nodded, collapsed into a chair - barely taking any notice of the way the new recruits quickly looked away from both him and his injured arm - and looked towards Kat.
"Kat, how about you tell them the latest revelations and set them to work?"
He didn't say anything, but - doing his best to make eye contact with his faithful soldier - he hoped the look on his face would get the message across. I can't go on like this. I need to rest. Can you handle things here?

Genesis Sanders | Female | Loner | Location: Forest |Tags: Her brother, OPEN

Crouching low in the shadows, her muscles rippling beneath her pelt, Gen narrowed her eyes in concentration at her prey. On the other side of the clearing her brother lay in wait, ready to tackle the large buck she was supposed to guide towards him.

She bunched her muscles as she let out a loud growl and revealed herself, the deer spooking in the wrong direction. With a snarl, she pounded after it, her paws leaving gouges in the Earth as she swerved out of it's sight, ducking under the brush and reappearing to body slam it in the right direction, unable to resist snapping her jaws around it shoulder momentarily. She released it and fell back as it sprinted towards Sebastian, his eyes glinting before he reared up, snapping his jaws around it's throat and shoving the male deer onto it's back, it legs kicking wildly.

She rushed over to help finish the creature, feeling it’s pulse slow and let go, stretching her jaw. She hadn’t been able to hunt any large game in months but neither sibling had been able to hold off on shifting once the trees came into view. Tilting her head back she let out a clear howl, claiming their kill and announcing their presence.

Sebastian Sanders | Male | Loner | Location: Forest | Tags: His sister, OPEN

Sebastian's irritation with his sister was already pricked when she took a shot at the buck before it reached him, but his head shot up at her howl and he stepped over the kill with a low growl, butting his head into her chest forcefully. The sound was cut off sharply and she turned on him, teeth bared. He growled back at her warningly, using his height to stand over her, his tail waving in dominance.

She was proud and excited and he understood, but her howling was going to cause unwanted attention. Her teeth gradually disappeared from the snarl, but the sound remained as he bumped her again with his chest, trying to get her to lower in submission. She snapped at him, catching his bottom lip in her bite hard enough to sting and he bowled her over, his teeth caging her muzzle shut as she deflated with a whine, although she still glared.

He released her immediately and stepped back, licking her ear in apology as she brushed past him, digging into the kill instead of accepting it. He let out a deep sigh but joined her, glad she might be quiet and behave for at least another couple of moments.

{ Species } Blade { Role } Agent { Tags} D'arc, Loey, Collin { Crush } open

As soon as i saw the door open out of the corner of my eye i slowed the truck rumbling over the gravel to a stop, attention trained on the leader now steathily moving towards the front of the building, taking in the hand motions he threw out and quickly translating, taking only a brief moment to glance around the property behind him, i pulled the pistol from the console, still unawear where mine lay and made my way out of the truck and followed behind him, body low and pistol extended, finger on the trigger before taking my position on the other side of the door frame, listening as he called out a clear warning followed by a direct order which seemed to get better results, a weight seeming to lift as we heard confirmation that these guys were 'friend' not foe, firearm returning to the spot on my side before i even heard d'arc, though still nodded silently all the while before glancing at my wet, muddied boots and winced internally, these were my favorite ones.. these dogs better hope i could salvage them.

Making my way into the cabin after Rian i ensured the door completely shut behind us and the truck was locked securely outside despite the fact they clearly knew the code word, and were likely sent by the higher ups i wasn't going to welcome them with open arms and a hot meal, not after everything that had happen since we arrived in this cursed town. As the two spoke my eyes watched the one who first appeared for a moment before flicking to the other making a note of his less friendly demeanor but saying nothing as i nodded in greeting and awaited for them to fully focus on the leader before taking off the still pretty wet, practically shredded jacket with a bit of effort wincing slightly before hanging it up, despite this one not being salvageable i didn't want to place it in the trash wet nor at all honestly, why give those things an advantage?. now out of the uncomfortable fabric i turned my attention back too the boys just catching the last of the older ones "joke" and raising a eyebrow i stood slightly behind the one i was closest too arms loosely crossed over my chest "Are you?" I breathed beneith my breath eyeing loey for a moment longer, i wasn't quite getting the vibe he was pleased to be here and if that was the case the last thing we needed was dead weight Collin on the other hand, seemed way too enthused to be here, great another ford. I said nothing else however as i made my way into the kitchen still listening as i pulled out two mugs and some tea bags not the decaffeinated crap, it still had the energizing boost just not as much as coffee and prepared them awaiting the appropriate amount of time to steep before flavoring them accordingly and walking back into the main living space.
I let my attention switch from the steaming mugs to D'arc however as i saw him practically fall into one of the chairs, and had i suddenly not felt both of the new agents attention suddenly upon me i would have already been fixing him up and making my usual fuss, but with the new company i highly doubted he'd appreciate that and merely strode over and handed him one of the mugs ensuring he had it before making my way to the table that had computers, various papers and books scattered about it and sat in one of the chairs. It was when i heard him ask me to fill in and assign tasks to them however when i grew more unsure, for as long as i had worked with him i couldn't quite recall him asking anyone but his second in command to take over for him though catching his subtle look and the message embedded within i nodded my own gaze holding a understanding look of course, sir placing my mug on the table beside me hands still wrapped around the warmth radiating off it and turning to the two agents one leg crossed over the other before beginning to speak, having most of the stuff covered before pausing, letting it sink in as i took a sip of my tea and continuing "So, besides finding out these things are about a hundred times smarter then you're average fido and faster then any of us combined, we think we have narrowed down where most of the attacks are going down, at least the ones seemingly against us, why don't you guy start looking into those files? find out who owns the land, who else lives on it, the history. Dig up anything you can on this thing and we'll go from there meanwhile i'll try and get the report on the plates we ran, sound good?" I finished, sitting back in the chair and looking at both in turn.

It hadn't taken long once we were moving again to see the faint outline of the fence surrounding the territory we called home its wire reflecting in the now moonlight, continuing on my gaze remained focused through ears kept tabs on what i couldn't see the faint vocals of Blair being caught, blinking i sighed what the hell had gotten into her recently? she had grown, anyone could see that but she also had some stupidly reckless choices under her belt recently, finding a loner in the territory, bringing him to the unnotified pack at that and suggesting he could be of assistance? what was she thinking, with everything going on lately it wouldn't be unlikely he was part of some ambush but clearly that wasn't a concern she saw not if she were still with him. Shaking my head i glanced at the star littered sky, ears slightly lowered how had it come to this? how had i been placed in charge what in that dang girls mind thought this was the best choice, why not mark? he was the beta before he knew how to do this or even Jason heck even Emmery would have been a better choice they all could lead this group better then i could, sure i helped lead the fighters but that was only a handful of us and though most choices were life and death it was nothing like it was now, i just wanted to know, why me? i just hoped Skylar awoke soon, then i could hand it back, possibly yell some sense into her, and get back to what i was good at, but for now lets hope i didn't run us into the ground or some unforeseen death trap. being brought back to the current situation as the scent of lingering blood reached my nostrils i let my green gaze flick towards the father and daughter just past the gate and let out a thankful sigh, they were okay. Glancing now towards the others i ensured i hadn't lost any along the way before limping on. In a matter of minutes we had caught up to the duo and i gave them a faint, gentle nod i still wasn't pleased with Emmery's actions and had every intent to talk to him as well but had he not distracted them the way he had there was no telling how it would have ended, i only waited for everyone to catch up before wanting to close the short distance between us and the house stopping just short of it to catch the familiar truck in the drive way, Jason was back and knowing we had left Danny and Mark here to tend to the beast in the basement a short lived howl being emitted announcing we had returned and were in need of assistance, as my head lowered i could have swore i heard the faint vocals of another though it wasn't one of our own i couldn't be sure it was possible the harsh wind and lack of sleep was screwing with my mind though still i stood up from my slightly slouched position and glanced back the way we had come, glancing to the others with a slightly unsure expression, did you guys hear that too??

Mark Holloway ~ Male ~ Thirty-Three ~ Werewolf ~ Loner/Former-Beta
Location: Skylar's Basement ~ Tags: Danny, Aspat, Aurora, Jason

Mark let out a low grunt of a growl at Jason's reply to the situation but halted it abruptly when he noticed he was doing it and took a breath, maybe he was right. Mark wasn't interested in seeing Aurora die for this, especially if it was partially an effect of the moon. But he also didn't like the thought of her just getting a slap on the wrist for it either, but frankly it wasn't his call. "Fine." He told the medic in mild defeat, motioning with his head for him to grab the restraints. Mark remained in a position to keep her pinned, despite her slack body he wasn't about to take the chance for the moment. "Just know this is on you now Jason, you're taking full responsibility for her the moment we leave this room."

Though the man promptly shook his head, "I'll help you get her out of here but after that I'm going back to my motel room. You all have a lot to deal with and you need to consider closing ranks before anything else happens." He had no interest in babysitting Aurora, and if Jason wanted to do that then who was he to stop the medic? That didn't mean he was going to hang him high and dry however. Mark knew he was possibly coming off like more of a jerk, but he was tired and after being shot at, frozen, then held at gunpoint after helping patch up someone who'd killed his former pack-mates....well he was frustrated and needed sleep.
