I'm surprised a bit by the rarities-- i thought there would be more litters with at least one rare pet in them...

also, i thought there would be some common pets from the free litters...

(had a feeling the macaws would be uncommon, no surprise there...)

I honestly thought the macaws would be common, even very common judging by the quantities that were being auctioned at the time...

Not everyone participates in the events and buys macaws, most of the users want a complete collection.
Many trade their spare tokens and they weren't all used for macaws - there are a lot of hoarders that used them for other litters.

Macaws were the most popular, but all in all you have to take into account that even though you could buy, say, 12 of the rainbow eggs, there were still 4 different outcomes and statistically speaking you then only bought 3 of each outcome.

So, they seemed even more common than they are, because when you saw a bunch of macaws, you saw the whole litter together. ^^

I actually thought there were quite a lot of rares. I was a little bit surprised that none of the macaw ponies turned rare. I wouldn't be shocked if they were some of the first ones to go up in rarity. Between the 4 outcomes, the fact that you only had a 25% chance to get a pet, and the fact that ponies aren't the most popular, I figured for sure they'd be rare. I bet the reason they weren't was people collecting the plushies. I was also a little surprised there were no rare caiman butterfly wolves. True, they were some of the easiest to get as far as token cost, but there were a fair number of outcomes and they seemed like pets that wouldn't be as popular or adopted as much. The rest is pretty much what I expected.

Ponies may not be popular, but the game itself and the plushies were - and since you could play it from almost the beginning, I was pretty sure they'd be uncommon.
A lot of us wanted plushies - and moooore plushies.
