((@FieryFilly: And I really need someone to come finish Victoria off. In terms of recaping Victoria is lying n the ground after getting tripped, an easy kill. Andrien is having the time of his life off the cost of a tropical island. Aster Grey is climbing down the cliff, trying to reach the water. Tannlia is vulnerable, with just about no supplies, but is hoping Otto will take her on as an ally.))

Tannlia Sky - District 11

Tannlia stared, wide-eyed. It couldn't have been that Otto hadn't seen her. He'd even tried to talk to her. And yet.... he hadn't attacked. Tannlia had no idea why, but maybe it meant she could trust him. She'd never survive out here on her own, without supplies. She needed to form an alliance. And she wouldn't be useless to him, either. She was skilled with a bow and arrow, if she could get her hands on one. He might be too heavy to reach as high up as she could, but she could certainly help him to a safer hight then what he would be able to reach on his own. She was sneaky - good at catching others on the unawares if she had to. She was pretty fast, too. No, she wouldn't be useless. But would he be willing to take on an ally, at the risk of having to kill them later?

There was only one way to find out. Nimbly, she grabbed a lower branch and pulled herself down. The moment her feet hit the ground she was off, chasing after him as fast as her legs could carry her. The maze was still confusing, but Otto was easy to trace - he seemed to be making no effort whatsoever to conceal his path. Well, she hadn't exactly done that either, anyways.

By the time Tannlia caught up she was panting, trying desperately to catch her breath. 'I was wondering if you could, well, maybe, if you would, you know, be willing to....' she paused nervous. Well, the worst he can do is kill me - and without an ally I'm dead meat anyways, she thought. 'If you'd be willing, to, well, take on an ally? I'm not as weak as I look, and I have a pretty decent aim. I'm a good hunter. I could help find safe places to spend the night. And, well..... if you won't rake me on, just kill me now, okay? I have no supplies, without an ally I'll be dead in a few days.

Andrien Holne - District 9

Andrien swam. He had an uncomfortable feeling there was something in the water with him, but he tried his best to ignore the feeling and just swim faster. There was an island just up ahead - tropical, full of palms and beaches. Like... like what Hawaii was apparently supposed to look like. Is this where we are?, he wondered. In Hawaii? But no, they couldn't be. There was another island visible in the horizon, frozen over, surrounded by icebergs.....

He pulled himself onto the beach just in time - behind him Great White shark was leaping out of the water. Andrien made a resulution to stay on this island no matter the cost. He was not entering that water again. No way. Besides, he was probably strng enough to crack those cocnuts with the use of a few hard rocks, gather some bananas, and his first meal would be ready in no time at all. As arenas go, this really isn't such a bad place, he silently mused. But no doubt it's only a matter of time before the gamemakers introduce something that will change this paradise into a mini-hell. He grinned. Hopefully they won't send down the devil himself.

Otto Wood- District 7
Otto ran, his feet thudding against the damp, green grass. His face was burning, from fear and embarrassment. He couldn't believe what he had said just moments earlier; what was wrong with him? His mouth always worked quicker than his mind, which was the cause of a public humiliation back at District 7... a peacekeeper had said something to his little sister, Amelia, and he hadn't been able to stop himself from retaliating with more than a few swear words. Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him, pounding against the ground in the rhythm of running. The girl must be pursuing him. He sprinted like he had never run before, sweat plastering his brown hair to his forehead. He was fast, but the girl was faster; she emerged from out of some trees, and slowed to a halt. What she said hardly registered in his mind; them, allies? Instinctively, he got a tighter grip on the axe. He didn't know if the time came if he would be able to use it. He gulped. "Uh... well... I guess I could use you. Dead in a few days without an ally; that makes two of us, eh?" he said, grinning slightly at his little joke. His spirits soared in spite of himself. At least he wouldn't be traveling alone. The silence became long and awkward. "I guess we should try to find water..?" he suggested. Suddenly he noticed she had no weapons. "Here," he said, handing her the knife.

Aster Grey- District 10
Aster was finally almost at the bottom of the rock. Her hands were cut, and were soar down to her bones; all she could do from letting herself drop was to just keep reminding herself she was almost there, even when she hadn't been. Sweat pinpricked across her forehead, getting into her silvery bangs. She was only a few feet from the water now; she let herself drop, and went under. The water was gloriously warm, like bathwater. She let herself just float there underwater for a few seconds, letting the water muffle everything and letting her hair float around her like silver seaweed before emerging. She took in a huge gulp of air as the breeze drifted past, feeling cool against the water on her skin. The pack on her back floated in the water as she began to swim to the nearest shore. After a few minutes of hard strokes, she dragged herself onto the beach of this island; the trees were huge, with ginormous, green feather-like fronds. Animal sounds echoed from within the deep forest that covered the island. The Gamemakers must have gotten creative this year; the whole place was like a rainforest. She cautiously took a few steps into the trees, where the air was humid and damp. A cold breeze drifted through, rustling her sopping wet clothes that clung plastered to her skin. She supposed she would have to make do here before moving on to another piece of land at least for a few days. If she lived that long. Always the optimistic one, she thought glumly, slinging the wet pack onto the ground to try and discover its conttents. She undid the zipper on the side and pulled it across with a deep, satisfying zip sound as the calls of a tropical bird echoed from within the forest. She found the inside of the pack to be completely dry. This thing was waterproof! She pulled out a length of thick, strong rope, a sleeping bag, and a small pack of dried fruit. She rummaged the inside the pack; other than the knives she received from the Cornucopia, that was it. She swore under her breath. Where was she going to get food? A pack of dried fruit wasn't going to last her one day here in the arena. She could already hear animal sounds coming from the trees; perhaps she'd try out her knives later and try to hunt some of the tropical bird. But for now, she would have to try to find someplace to set up some kind of camp. She found a tree that would be acceptable for sleeping in, and hung the pack on one of the thick branches. She pulled out a graceful, silver number from the knife case and trekked into the forest.

Tannlia Sky - District 11

Tannlia smiled. 'Thank you. Yeah, that's a good idea. Hmm... the plants are still green, so it must rain sometime. Unless....' Tannlia's face suddenly brightened. 'Unless there's an underground source! But.... who knows how long it would take to find it.' She sighed. 'Let's keep looking. If we don't find anything in a few days, we can start digging. I'll bet there's water on one of those islands. Salt water doesn't freeze, so the icy one must have some. Do you know the way back?' Tannlia didn't, at any rate. This maze had been so confusing! She wished it was easier to find her way around. But then it would be easier for others to find her, too....

((there would be more than one or two knives surely?))

District 12--Sadeeki Dunforth (Dunny)

Dunny climbed carefully, make sure he always had three limbs firmly anchored to the cliff face. The going was tough, he realised how difficult it would be to climb back up. He wasn't even sure if he could. The sound of the sea crashing against the cliff was getting louder. He looked down and realised he was about twelve strides above the water level. He had found two secure footholds, he felt confident another to attempt to turn round. He slowly turned till his back was facing the cliff, his fingers cramping as they held his weight.
He looked around and spotted many islands, he hadn't realised there were that many. Most of the ones near him were fairly barren, they hardly anything on them. He could see one fairly large, it looked like woodland. That would be his destination, he decided. It would be a long swim, there were no other islands between where he was on the cliff face and his destination. His thoughts turned to the large backpack. He thought if he didn't stop or tread water, just continued to swim, he wouldn't sink.
He turned back to the wall again holding tightly. He would have to jump as far away from the cliff-face as he could or he would be dashed against the rocks by the current.
He prepared to let go of the wall fearfully. He let go and pushed off strongly from the wall with his feet. The moment of suspension before he hit the icy cold water made him feel giddy. The shock of the cold water brought him back to his senses, he began to do a strong crawl. The rhythmic strokes calmed him, as did the water cool over his body.
It was his left hand dashing painfully against a rock embedded in the sand that made him realise he had made it to the island. It looked even larger than he had thought it was on first sight. He looked at the shelter of the trees, who knows what else it might contain but it was better than being exposed on the beach. He pulled himself to his feet and almost exhausted jogged to the centre of the trees.

District 2--Akinson Stone

Kin gasped with shock as he hit the water. Dropping from that high was almost like hitting concrete, the breath was literally driven out of him. He tread water, open and closing his mouth like a fish out of water as his body struggled to get oxygen. He began to recover and realised how vulnerable he was so close to the cliff. He began to swim away, then realised he was just swimming out to sea. He stopped and tread water for a second as he looked around. He could see a few that he thought he could swim to, but they all looked barren. He set his sights on the one that looked like it had more life. He began to swim in strong calm strokes, like a frog would.
He swam for what seemed like an age. He looked down to see the sandy bottom was close, he could stand. He began to stride up on the beach, breathing heavily. He dropped to his knees on a beach of a small island. He crawled further on to the beach. There was very little a few trees, not much shelter. He needed to move, he could see now there were many islands. He needed to rest before he could go to another island. A better island.
