With the rogues long gone, peace had returned to the kennel. Although once a part of the rogues, Renegade had become a welcome member and had become friends with the other tenderpaws. When they weren't training, they spent most of the day playing. However, Seria had left to talk with the ancestors as it was time for Ark, Callie, Mitty and Fudge to become irontooth. They patiently waited at home.

Meanwhile...
Pippa hadn't been with Rowan as much as she would like lately. She asked to meet him in private. She sat under the willow tree waiting for his arrival. He climbed up to meet her.
"You wanted to speak with me?" he asked her.
"Yes!" she barked. "I just felt we haven't had much time together."
"Ah well... There's the mentorship and the rogues that happened... Those were time consuming," he nodded. She giggled. They sat under the tree talking about this and that. She turned to look him in the eye.
"I'm glad we have times like this without Bella," she suddenly said.
"Huh? What's wrong with Bella?" Rowan asked. Pippa scrunched her nose.
"Well, nothing," she said. "But forget about Bella! Let's make it just be us!" He looked at her awkwardly.
"Rowan, let's be mates! We can have a family and pups of our own!" she squeaked.
"Uh... I don't know... It's a little..."
"What?"
"Um, give me some time to think about it," he huffed.
"O-oh, okay!" she said, slightly titling her head to the side in confusion. He got to his paws and ran back to camp, leaving poor Pippa alone at the tree.

Rowan looked for Bella and once he found her, told her to follow him. She was confused but thinking it was important, did as he said. He led away from camp and to the opposite side of where Pippa was. He looked at Bella in a panic.
"Pippa confessed to me," he said between deep breathes.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"She wants to become mates," he replied. A slight smile crept on Bella's lips.
"Good on ya."
"I don't like her like that. We're just friends," he said.
"Oh. What are you going to do then?"
"I'm not sure. But I want to get something out the way first," he said, slightly looking away.
"What would that be?" she smiled.
"There is someone I like actually. And that would be you, Bella." She fell silent and the only noise around them was the swirling wind. Then she jumped in the air in shock.
"EEEEEHHH!? Why!? You know what Pippa says about me!" she shouted.
"But I like you for those things. Pippa is a little boring," he smiled.
"I-I see..."
"Bella, do you want to be mates?" he asked. She turned to him but soon became embarrassed. But she quietly replied, as honest as she could. "I-I would love to..."
"Great! I'll figure out what to do with Pippa but for now, let's keep it on the low key," he said. She nodded. They went separate ways as they came back to camp, to avoid suspicion. When Rowan set foot in camp, Pippa came bounding towards him. She was as happy as could be but had no idea what happened behind the scenes. As they talked, Rowan thought of how to reject her while also staying friends...

nature/reputation the hellbound are a secretive bunch. while their individual personalities differ, most dogs are not overly social
and friendly during gatherings. they are not rude or aggressive either, they simply try to keep a neutral stance when mingled with
other kennels. however, do not be fooled, as this is simply a mask. deep down, these dogs are sly and deadly intelligent, manipula
ting others to get what they want. 'weak' dogs are not allowed into their ranks and they will slaughter any canine they decide is un
worthy of joining them. their rules are strict and unforgiving, and any dog that breaks them will be shown no mercy.
territory they live in an abandoned city full of tall skyscrapers and empty streets. abandoned cars are a common site, as well as cr
umbling apartment buildings. the town is so huge that the dogs do not know what is beyond it, or even if it is completely abandone
d. the hellbound's camp is situated in a what used to be a library, located near the center of the city. it's shelves are still full of boo
ks, and some have even collapsed. the 'dens' for each rank are made in the few rooms the library contains. the kennel's leader posse
sses his own room, called 'the observatory' (for the large windows at it's ceiling.)
beliefs the hellbound believe in a group of gods simply named 'the council'. these gods are highly important in the lives of the canin
es. they bring new dogs to the kennel, assign mates and even grant certain dogs with 'the sight'. dogs bestowed with the sight can so
metimes see in the future and receive prophecies from the council (this is meant for plot purposes and will have no effect on patrols
whatsoever). anydog that does not believe in the council is immediately considered a traitor and banished from the city.
ranks the hellbound's ranks are different from most kennels. their leader is named the cardinal, their beta is named the lieutenant,
their healer is named magister, their tenderpaws are named cadets, their pup-mothers are named reginae and their elders are named
veterans. as for their ironteeth, they are divided into two factions. the sergeants (the kennel's fighters and protectors) and the corpo
rals (the kennel's hunters). the kennel operates without omegas.
trials/ceremonies there are many trials in the lives of the hellbound. for example, when a cadet finishes their training and is ready t
o become a full sergeant/corporal, they need to fight another canine of their choice for their rank. the higher a dog is in the list of se
rgeant or corporals, the more power they posses. if the cadet fails, it is up to the cardinal to decide if they can continue their training
and try again later on, or if they are too weak to remain in the kennel. the magister's apprentices are excluded from this trial. dogs de
emed worthy or joining the kennel must also fight another canine to earn their rank.
breeds the hellbound is mostly composed of the following breeds: doberman pinscher, rottweilers, pit bulls, belgian malinois, cane c
