Hearing the cyborg ninja's suggestion about searching for shelter or civilization, Mechanica nodded her head to show agreement before she turned her gaze to Deadpool, who had just asked about the condition of her suit. Turning again, she took a quick moment to scan over it once more--mainly focusing her attention on its back this time, now that she was able to inspect this area properly. From what she could tell, there were no visible indications of damage there, either. "Mmmmm... Yep; I think we're good to go! Heh... Thanks, though," she replied in confirmation, an appreciative little smile forming on her face. At this moment, she saw the strange man's arm practically being swallowed by one of his pouches, causing her expression to abruptly shift to one of disbelief in response to the rather bizarre (and comical) sight. Her gaze then briefly remained frozen in this position, until she heard the boy in the hoodie responding to her question.
Now returning her attention to the boy, Mechanica listened with a genuinely intrigued look on her face as he began to talk about his own suits, leaning forwards slightly to get a closer look at his web shooters while he was showing them to her. "Oooohh..." she murmured as she stared at the small devices for a few moments, then returned her gaze to the boy's face when he continued speaking. Listening as he went on to describe another, particularly advanced-sounding suit of his, Mechanica's face instantly lit up with a look of awe. She had never heard of anything even remotely similar to this second suit before, as far as she could remember, and trying to imagine it in detail--even if a bit difficult--caused the corners of her mouth to spread into an especially wide grin. "Uwa...!! That sounds amazing!" she remarked with much enthusiasm, clearly impressed by everything she had just heard about the high-tech suit.
The conversation shifted elsewhere after this, the boy now introducing himself as Peter--which led Mechanica to guess that all of the spider-related names she had heard earlier must, in fact, be nicknames or something of the sort. "Nah, it's no problem," she assured him, her expression friendly. "I'm Mechanica. Pleased to meetcha!"
All of a sudden, Mechanica heard the distinct sound of the cyborg ninja's voice chiming in to comment on the suits Peter had been talking about. Much to her bafflement, he didn't really seem at all impressed by them like she was; in fact, he even seemed to be stifling some laughter as he expressed his thoughts on them. Staring at him with a shocked look, she was about to voice her surprise on the matter before something else that he said jumped right out at her: "It is 2080". Upon hearing these words, she grew rather distracted from the rest that followed, falling silent until the man seemed to be finished speaking for now. "... Wait a sec, though..." Mechanica somewhat slowly started again at this point, her gaze settling on his glowing green visor. "2080...??" she echoed, sounding deeply perplexed. The year he mentioned didn't exactly match up with what she was used to, and being unaware of the fact that they were actually from different worlds entirely from each other, his statement left her extremely confused.

"Peeeaarl?! Oto-..." Marina began to call out again, but her voice cut off abruptly when she saw that a stranger was quickly heading towards her. Becoming a bit startled, she carefully watched as they drew closer, grasping her Sorella Brella tightly in one hand. After a moment of observing the individual, she quickly noted that they didn't appear to be an Octoling or an Inkling; in fact, they didn't particularly resemble any of the other creatures Marina was used to seeing back home, either. Upon thinking about it more, she realized that this individual actually had some resemblance to humans--or, at least, what she knew of their appearance through ancient depictions, given that they had been extinct in her own world for many years.
When she heard the stranger speak up, seemingly addressing her, Marina's eyes grew somewhat wide and she quickly glanced down to meet their gaze. They thankfully didn't seem hostile from what she could tell so far, which at least calmed her partially. Additionally, they did apparently know about humans--though she had never heard of any creature know as a "gem", which just further sparked her curiosity. "O-oh...! Umm... That's right," the Octoling responded with a hint of awkwardness in her tone, pausing as she thought carefully about how to proceed. "... My name's Marina. I'm..." Once again, she fell silent with a thoughtful--and slightly unsure--expression. Not yet knowing anything about the individual in front of her, she couldn't help feeling uncertain over how they would react if she revealed to them that she was an Octoling, so she quickly decided to just be rather vague with the next part of her response. "I'm an octopus... basically..."
Right after she had finished saying this, Marina carefully held a hand out to the stranger, offering a handshake as a friendly gesture. As she did so, she gave a small and somewhat shy smile, as well, nervously anticipating a response.
