Duskstorm sighed sadly, then shrugged. "I'm not sad because..." he said as he took a deep breath, then exhaled again. "I like you." he said as he hung his head low with embarrassment. What did I just do? he thought with a small sigh.

Morningbreeze smiled at Duskstorm as he spoke, then frowned, cocking her head to the side. "You... like me?" she mewed, her voice quietening. He was my mentor! She found herself arguing with herself inside, like there were two voices in her head. "Um... I need some time to think," she quickly mewed, before taking off through the trees.

Duskstorm fell to the ground sadly as he saw Morningbreeze run between the trees. "I made a fool of myself!" he exclaimed as he softly cried, covering his face with his gray and white paws. I always make a fool out of myself... he thought with a sad growl.

Morningbreeze lay down beside the river, Duskstorm's eyes lingering in her mind. She didn't know what to think. "DO like him, or don't I?" she cursed, resting her head on her paws.
{Hm... I think it would be cute if Morningbreeze liked Duskstorm too... but that would ruin the whole "Ashfur" thing...}

Duskstorm sighed softly as his tears stopped suddenly, and he quickly got up. As he slowly walked towards the river, he looked at Morningbreeze's pelt, then the back of her head. What did I put myself into? Another brokenheart? he thought to himself with a small sigh.
