"yeah, thanks for the reassurance sweetheart," emile said to azura, winking. upon request, he drew in a deep intake of breath, trying to savour the feeling of oxygen flowing through his lungs before yosef used his powers.
the lack of air hit him. emile, who had been assuming it was like holding his breath, was definitely underestimating the unpleasantness of it. the experience was like being crushed flat from the oxygen vanishing from your body so suddenly. after the few seconds were over - which felt like a decade - emile doubled over, attempting to suppress the many coughs that threatened to spill out.
"alright, that was a stupid decision," the elemental hissed out. "worked like a charm though."

I could feel the air around Emile dissipate and I watched in curiosity to see if he could keep his balance or fall to the ground. To my dismay, he managed to keep his posture for the full ten seconds. After though, he started coughing and hissing out sentences that I could barely hear. "Well, was it fun?" I asked and smirked."I gave you some very good reassurance." I said.I looked at Yosef and nodded thoughtfully yo him. "Now that could come in handy."

I giggled as I walked down the corridor full of people. My hair was in a high pony and I wore a shirt that went down a little too far for comfort for any other girl.MM, but I am not like other girls! I watched as she strummed the guitar. A skill I was never able to possess because I would get annoyed by the fact I could not play the guitar. Her voice was gorgeous and the melody was perfectly in tune with her voice. "You have a beautiful voice." I said and this time I did not hide from her the redness forming on my cheeks.

Athena smiled at Kai.

"Wow, writing? That's really cool. I used to write, but I was never able to finish writing a story. I'd get caught up in one idea, but then I'd have a great new one and forget about the old one I was writing," she rambled as she packed her guitar back into its case. "My mother used to write too..." Athena's voice trailed, her mind wandering back to the crash. She missed her parents, terribly. Her bright aura darkened, almost fading away as she remembered that night. That terrible sound of the tires screeching on the pavement, then followed by a deafening boom of the metal plates colliding. The shattering glass, the screams, the blood. Holding back tears, Athena tried to remember the good times.

keep that thought locked away in a drawer in the back of your mind. she thought to herself. She did, and her glow returned to normal.

"Um, lets go get something to eat. I heard they have really good food in the cafeteria," Athena mumbled.

The aura around me darkened when Athena mentioned her mom. Just like before, she tried to quickly change the conversation and move away. I reached out and grabbed her hand, looking at her with care. "Hey, I don't know your past or memories and such; but no pretty girl like you should have such a dark aura." I said to her and opened my arms up to give her a hug.

Part of Athena wanted lean away, to shut herself in her mansion back at home and never let anyone in. But the other part of Athena wanted to let Kai in, even though she barely knew him for long. So she accepted the hug, pulling him in. She could feel the coldness of his skin, reminding her of a cool dip in the lake. Kai has the sweet scent of vanilla, resembling the ice rose he had gifted her early on.

"We're still getting that burrito though, right?" Athena laughed, breaking the tension.

[center]I wrapped my arms around her and held her tight. When she mentioned the burrito, I started to laugh. My whole body rattled and I looked down at her. I opened my arms back up after a minute and nodded.

"One cannot go without burritos," I said in a serious tone but amusement could be read across my face. Athena's smell lingered in my nose though. It was sweet and somehow just gave me a warm feeling. A light perk I was sure.

Lucy was happy and excited because she finally could go to a new school, instead of going to those other schools and hiding her power. Finally she could use her powers and not be pressured. Once she went through those doors, she would be free. Once she walked in, Lucy made her invisible wings visible, casting a rainbow light in the entry room. She went into the flyers section of the hallway and flew to her dorm, wondering what the school had in store for her.
