Ruby looked over at the canines again, but this time, they were looking directly at her. She didn't know what they were saying, but she knew it must be about her screech. She began to heat up (Ruby heats up when she's nervous, and her heat gets more widespread). She didn't was to fly, because they'd see her, but if she stayed, they'd still find her. She stayed as still as she could, and hoped for the best.

Ozymandias heard the phoenix’s loud screech and saw the two winged dogs. He’d never particularly like the strange creatures, so he generally just avoided them. This time he did the same, padding on towards the city. He was hungry after a day of not eating, and the city was the best place to get an easy meal. The humans normally confused him for an enormous house cat anyway. Ozzy entered the city by using a backstreet that he often used. He soon happened upon a large skip full of food that he sometimes stole from. He jumped in, munching on the first half-finished meal he came across.

Tobias lay under a tree, trying to take a nap. Hearing a loud screech, he hissed and got to his paws, startled at first. He then relaxed a bit before deciding to go investigate the source of the noise. Walking forwards, he wasn't quite sure where the noise had come from so he just walked forward towards the heart of the forest.

She sits down, and stares at the branch with ruby on it. "Is it just me, or am i getting a little hotter than usual..?" she mumbled.

"We're not alone." Suyin said, looking around. "Whoever you are, show yourself." She breathed out a stream of frostbreath at the leaves below as a warning, freezing them in seconds.

Ruby felt herself freeze after one of the canines shouted at her, but the cold was short lived. She burst into flame out of fear, in order to protect herself. She quickly flapped above the branch, not wanting to set the tree on fire. She didn't want to show herself. She didn't want to be seen at all! What she didn't know, was that every spark that fell off would get the canines one step closer to finding her.

Suyin saw a rush of flame from the tree (fire is bright after all), and started running at it. She breathed frostbreath at the tree, trying to see what was up there.

Ruby knew one of the canines was after her, and she only had one choice left. She flew upwards. Into the trees, then above them. The flames at this point were so hot, she didn't even feel the ice. She flew at top speed over the trees, and away from the canines, or so she hoped.

Suyin saw her, and took to the air to follow her. She stayed a considerable distance away, trying not to get burned. Once the other creature was no longer on fire, she would make her move.
