This was my first rare - though I think it was just uncommon back then.
I wasn't sure why so many people seemed to think this colour outcome was special - had no idea about the rarity system, or anything else. I joined on 21st August 2009, and this lovely was in my first ever batch of adopts.

I don’t remember exactly what my first rare was, but I remember it was something from the candy event. When the candy event pets got their rarities, I was amazed by how many of them were rare!

The strawberry dog was my first dreamie when I joined in 2011 and when I saw someone who had one I sent out a trade with only a couple of random uncommons on my side. Miraculously they accepted and I was so excited!! Summer here was my first rare and 7 years later she's now very rare and still one of my favorite pets!
