Twistedsoul's dull, expressionless face began to shift to a brighter more cheerful one. She cracked a small smile, but hid it as quick as she could. "How do you always do that..? You're one of the only people who can cheer me up so easily." She whispered, but couldn't hold back the shy smile growing across her silver muzzle. Her eyes turned towards their apprentices, then back to Icepath. "Maybe we should battle train them?" She suggested.

Crookedpaw : "I guess" But his face was doubtful, together those two apprentices seemed evil enough to take down the whole clan. Forcing a smile, "So why are you out here?" Crookedpaw asked, flicking his ears trying to rid the sense of dread he felt so strongly.

Icepath: He grinned, puffing out his chest in a cocky manner. "I'm just cool like that." He boasted playfully, giving her a wink. He laughed, dropping his cocky pose. "Sure, sounds like a plan." He agreed, giving a smile, deciding that battle training would do the apprentices good. There had been a couple signs of badger around lately; They'd need to defend themselves until help could come if they ever got caught with a badger.

Featherpaw: "I've been looking for my mentor, Sparkstep. I've been dying to stretch my claws all day." She grinned a bit, glad to change the subject. Thinking of the two apprentices together made a shiver strain her spine; she was only just surpressing a shudder at the thought. "Have you seen her?" She asked, giving a smile. She still remembered his bored expression when he spoke to her the previous night before the gathering, causing her to feel slightly uncomfortable now.

"Yeah." Bramblepaw lied, dipping his head in respect. His mind was completely blank while Twistedsoul was talking.

Twistedsoul's eyes met Icepath's, her jaw gapped and eyes half closed giving him kind of a Wow I can't believe you just went there, kind of look. Then she chuckled light-heartedly, flexing her claws in and out of the cool dirt in a relaxed manner. Her silvery gray head turned towards Bramblepaw, then Smokepaw, who's company she'd still have to take some getting used to. "Alright then... Shall we?" She grinned darkly, half of her face covered by the shadows of a tree. She was already walking towards the camp entrance, head high and tail erect. "Come on Bramble!" She threw a shout over her shoulder to her apprentice, then sat impatiently by the camps entrance.

((Aaaaaanyone willing to bother Fadedglare XD? He's been sitting in camp like a lump, and the only cat he's talked to was Honeyspeckle. And that lasted about... 1.5 seconds.))

Fadedglare's nose sniffed the air cautiously, seering green eyes widened in panic. He just had another nightmare. It's been the same nightmare over and over since...

Ignoring that, he shook the last scraps of fear from himself, then trotted warily to the fresh-kill pile. He picked out the fattest bird his eyes could catch sight of, then began to pluck the feathers, spitting them out every now and then. They were tasteless, and irritating to get stuck in between your teeth. Every so often he'd look up at his bordering clan mates, watching their every move with paranoid eyes. Even with the constant company of others, he hadn't ever felt so much like a lonely soul in all of his life. He felt like an insignificant leaf, lost adift in the 'River That Leads To Nowhere'.

((Why is it late at night when no one is on my WB goes away? >.< Not fair. BTW: Mintfeather, were my cats added to the front page? :0 I couldn't find them...))

Bramblepaw nodded eagerly, and bounded over to the camp entrance. Although Twistedsoul spooked Bramblepaw a little, she was a great mentor. Was it only then he was apprenticed? He was so proud of himself.

Hollowpath sighed and looked around camp. He saw Fadedglare but didn't pay much attention to him. He was bored under the shady tree inside the camp. Everything always seemed to go slow, just the way he liked it.

Rowanstorm smiled at Fawnleap, then glanced at the leaving patrols with sadness. "Wish I had been chosen to patrol," he muttered, before sitting down beside her. "Are you hungry?" he mewed, flicking his tail to the prey pile.

Spottedsky jumped slightly as Muddykit spoke up. "Um, I am Spottedsky," she murmured softly, before watching as her sister left the nursery, leaving her alone with the kits. She glanced nervously back at Ashkit, her eyes doubtful.
