Shadefur looked around. her eyes scanning the clearing of the camp. She stood and stretched her fur flattened against her body.

Soulfire was stalking a young pheasant. Eagerly leaping forward, he slammed his paw onto the pheasant's neck and killed it before it could let out an alarm call. Satisfied, Soulfire buried the bird and saw a mouse not far away. He stepped forward quietly, not making a sound, and pounced on that too. Soulfire buried the mouse next to his phesant and trekked a little farther. He spotted a squirrel and quickly took it down. He went back to his phesant and his mouse and grasped them all in his jaws, stumbling a bit from the weight. He took it back to camp and set it on the fresh-kill pile.
