2018 Summer Event: Casual Chat v2

I don't even really bother trying to get all the outcomes in summer events. It's just far too much work and stress (for me) to spend on a little event. I mostly just pay attention to the story, and this time it's been pretty lacking in that aspect. I understand that this is a lot of work to pull off and that we get this stuff for free, but this was definitely not my favorite event. Not that I didn't enjoy it, I just haven't been enjoying it as much as the other summer events I've been around for.

It really is a lot of work. The last summer event I participated in was the Egyptian one, and I absolutely loved it. The story was great and fun and pets weren't a hassle to get as much as this one. This years event is bland in comparison to the last few, even though I was on break during them. Pets just aren't that interesting tbh, and I love luck-based things and the thrill but not when the token you have to use is difficult to get in the first place.

I fully agree with everyone talking about the resort chips. The struggle this year is absolutely unreal. I don't have anything else to really do, that's basically the only reason I've put up with this so far. I still appreciate everything the CS team does, and I'm sure it's just the lot of us getting really unlucky, but I really wish this event was easier on casual players.

I like a good challenge, but not when it causes me to have to stay up all night grinding for some token.

I actually haven't been having the trouble that other people have been having with getting resort tokens. For me it's just about every other one or sometimes nothing but them for an hour. I was completely caught up on pets and items before todays rollover and even spent extra resort chips for extra eggs. I even had enough to get three of the new pets today I just got a double of the rainbow that I'm hoping to swap for the blue and yellow and then I'll be caught up. I also don't really have the time to grind I stay quite busy most days. Maybe I've gotten lucky I just feel that it's likely easier for some than others and only the unlucky group seems to be speaking out so I figured I'd put in my 2 cents. Regardless though thus far I have enjoyed the event though it seems less involved than some previous years.

I haven't gotten a resort token since the rollover... saplings, fruit, yup, but no coins. I'm so sad.

I really hope there aren't any more coin trade ins for a while, I won't be able to catch up at all once the work week starts for me on Monday.

something really weird just happened, i clicked the banner and it told me
"That release could not be found, please try again" and gave me no token,
when i refreshed the page it has put me on the 20 minute wait time again??

That’s weird, I’ve only gotten that when I was logged out and found a banner! (I had logged back into my account, so it told me this)

Huh, well i was logged in and it told me that which is really odd, but It's already halfway through the time limit so i'm not going to complain too hard LOL

0.0 I feel lucky now that I went on vacation in June, though I did miss the anniversary event of one of my apps and I couldn't take my laptop along...meh, worth it ^_^ I'm such a hardcore gaming nerd.

On the bright side, I have been getting a reasonable amount of resort chips, so I'll open them up for trades as soon as I manage to hit 20+ resort chips total.

I remember when people were complaining how hard the summer event was last year and that the story ended kind of weirdly. This event makes last year's look like the kiddie pool of CS events. Resort chip trade-ins every other day, two chance games that require those chips as well with low chance of actually getting the pet/plushies you need, and the story isn't all that interesting, really. I remember how engaged I was in the story last year, finding it really interesting and even a bit funny at times, with how Cuttler reacted to you. The characters were all made so fun and lovable, and they just drew me in for more. This year? It's alright, I guess. There's nothing really unique to the characters besides the almost canon ship and the love triangle that we made up. I remembered the names of all the characters last year because they were memorable, not because I clicked on them every day for new pets and items. There's no real plot or action in this story, either. I would understand if it were something like the medieval fair, but we're in the jungle. There are so many things so can do and places you can go with that one word. The deforestation was a nice start, but it just kind of...faded away. We haven't gotten any other actions with the bulldozers yet, such as the evil boss guy coming to talk us down. The spirits, no matter how angry they're getting, haven't blown the bulldozers up somehow, either. So where is all this going???

You may have double-clicked, check your item inventory (under "My Stuff") and see if your token is there. It most likely is as I have had this happen to me several times. I clicked into my inventory and yup, there was an extra token that I didn't have before (I have a spreadsheet documenting my current token amounts so I know what I can afford to trade/spend and what I should stockpile)

It's because you clicked twice, you got a token you just will have to figure out what it was by looking at your inventory. It's inconvenient but sometimes it happens
