required to complete your year long term. DISCLAIMERS; We have little to no cell

service, and our wi-fi is generally spotty, please do not question our students actions

unless a teacher indicates alarm. We are not responsible for the "bumps in the night"

and our policy still stands that insurance only covers minor injuries - not death.

Hello All
We are starting today!

This will be edited with the first prompt/scenario!
(working on it! ^^)

Note that the Exchange students do not know the full extent
of Winstorn's weird and fantastic presence. They might have some idea of what
is up but the overall impression is it is just a weird school - so them interacting
with the student body should really be a shock.

Also note that Resident students will probably not be too kind to the exchange
students unless they can prove their worth- even if they have had positive
interactions with humans in the past. These humans are trespassing in a way on
their sanctuary and need to prove they are allowed to be there.

The starting date is the Sunday before classes start.
As you enter the old, mansion like school a speaker flickers on, if on cue. You look around,
but you're the only one there. A low male voice sings over the speakers. "Welcome
{insert name here] to the first day of Winstorn Academy. We are very pleased to have you
join us this coming year and hope your stay is a pleasant one. We trust that you have read
over the handbook and will not be covering that. Every student has their own dorm room.
We find it best for our special students to each have their own space. Now if you are a
returning resident, say this out loud, if you are an Exchange please state that out loud"
- there was a pause

Exchange You stutter out. The voice continues Wonderful, your dorm will be on the
second floor of this building, it will have your name on the door. You will be happy to
know we have put you with other exchange students and you will all be occupying that
floor without our resident students. Do not be alarmed if your dorm room isn't exactly
were you left it everyday. You are more than welcome to visit resident dorms that are
over on the east side of campus but do so at your own discernment. Schedules have
been made and you should have gotten them. Please attend at least 2/3 of the classes
for each subject. If you need any help or guidance please seek out Phillip Winstorn and
he will do his best to accommodate you - there is a mandatory meeting in the gymnasium
this evening, please be prompt " The voice fizzles out and there is an uncomfortable silence.
Well, time to go unpack.

Resident you sigh - even freshman found this tacky. The voice resumes "Great, welcome back
to our returning students and a warm welcome to our incoming freshman. As you probably
know we do our best here at Winstorn to protect your best interest as a magical being and
hope that you can grow as both an individual and student. Your dorm is in the resident east
building. Freshman on the first floor, Sophomores on the second, Juniors on the third, and
Seniors on the fourth. Please do be courteous to your neighbors - your name will be on the
door. Classes have been handed out and we expect you to turn up for 2/3 of the classes in
each subject. If you need help find Phillip Winstorn, if you have a complaint talk with
Mrs. Brambs....Please try and be civil to the poor exchange students...we have a mandatory
meeting in the gymnasium this evening if you don't show up you will be given detention."
The voice lingers then the speakers cut out. Finally it is over, it's a wonder how only one
person seemed to ever show up at a time - those Winstorn'ss were freaky.
Well time to go find that dorm room.

Oliver was a little sticker shocked by the voice, but quickly got over it. He breathed a
shaky sigh, hopefully this was going to be fine. He made it over to the dorms and threw
his stuff in the room - not bothering to unpack. If he was the only one living in the room
why bother being over the top? As he closed the door and stepped out of the room he
could see other people filing in. He trotted quietly out. He was well on his way across the
courtyard, before realizing he still had his backpack on. With a loud, annoyed bleat he
turned back towards the dorms to put it away

Cory didn't even wait for the voice to finish. He knew the drill. He also wasn't planning
on attending that stupid assembly, no sir he had no interest in other students this year.
He had drawn too much attention to himself over the past few months and has made
the idiotic rash decision to enroll into his families college. Naturally his
father was thrilled to have him on campus again, but he was not. He'd already attended
all four years, and repeated senior year three more times. But last time he'd been here
his heart got broken, his cat died and his brothers dumped him in a toilet. Lost in his own
thoughts the vampire made it to his room and just stood there, half expecting
something to happen.

Emily near had a heart attack at being addressed by the voice. She quickly regain
composure though and nodded along to the instructions before heading up the
convenient staircase to the second floor. She was weirded out to be sure, but was
determined for this to be the single best year of her school experience. Secretly
she hoped she would meet someone to talk to soon, she didn't like the watching
feeling the building was giving her. Yet somehow she made it up the stair, one hand
dragging a suitcase the other clutching her chemistry set case to her chest. She then
set out to find her room along the long second floor hallway.

Shira rolled past the welcome speech as it blared for her, only catching the first few words as she made her way towards the stair case as her suitcase rolled along beside her. She cast glances at the student's she past, wrinkling her nose at the sight of the exchange students as their human scent filled her nose. She made a mental note of which humans seemed the most energetic so she would know to avoid them, wishing to avoid the mess she had gotten into the previous year when a human figured out she could grant wishes. She headed for her room silently but left the door open as she entered, curious to see which fellow monsters were going to seek her out. A faint smile infiltrated her face as she caught her true reflection in the mirror, she wished she could release her human appearance but knew that with all of the new humans running around it probably wasn't safe. She sat her bag onto her bed before pulling her schedule out of her pocket and placing it on the bed beside her bag, reading it over as she unpacked everything, smirking to herself every time she pulled something obviously to big for the bag out of it, enjoying the magic she could feel coming from it each time.

Curtis stumbled out of the cab as it pulled up outside of the university, grinning as he looked up at the Gothic building. "Brilliant." He muttered to himself before rushing over to help the driver pull his three large bags out of the trunk. After paying for the cab and shaking hands with the driver Curtis clumsily hoisted a bag onto each shoulder before dragging along the third as he headed into the entrance hall. He jumped slightly at the sound of the welcome speech, frowning in confusion as it said his name. "Odd... Are there cameras or something?" he said once again to himself as he looked around. Everything was just as he dreamed it would be. All of the decorations looked ancient and the feeling in the air made him begin to wonder if the buildings here were haunted. He smiled at the thought, thinking about how wonderful it would be to explore a place that he could picture mythical creature dwelling in. He chuckled at his daydreams before heading off to his dorm, looking about excitedly for someone to walk with and make conversation with as he went.

This again. Another year, another waisted few lunar cycles learning stuff she'd known when everyone else was still sludge at the bottom of a pond. Still, there was nothing for it. Until she had one of their stupid little "diplomas" she wasn't going to get anywhere. And this place was better than most. They didn't treat her like a total moron, at least.

Riley trudged her way up the stairs to the second floor, occasinally stumbling when she took a wrong step. Stupid body. All the dimensions in the world, and it only used the first three. It was like living in a snail's body, only without the benefits. She'd tried to do her best for the poor thing, she really had, but in the end it had all been for naught. She still heard screams, every now and then.

The sophomore located her room, tossed her stuff inside, then went back to the stairs, checking her watch. Two minutes. She'd have to be quick about it. Pulling a bit of red chalk from one of the myriad pockets on her cargo pants, Riley quickly sketched some symbols on the wall, just above the stair rail. One minute. The student stared at her watch until about the fifty-eight second mark, then took a run at the stair, leaping up onto the banister, and popping out of the bottom-left corner of some hallway somewhere.

"Well that wasn't right," She remarked aloud.

She wasn't quite sure where she was, but it wasn't the library like she'd hoped. The doors around her indicated it was another dormitory, but whose she wasn't sure. It wasn't really important at the moment. Riley looked around frantically, searching for some place she could slip back through, but unfortunately there didn't seem to be- wait! The doorframe! It was very slight, but there was a deviation in it, the whole thing was on a miniscule slant. Was it enough? It would have to be, the window was quickly passing. Riley took a run at the frame, jumped, and crashed head-first into the hardwood structure. The unfortunate girl fell backwards, tears streaming from her eyes. "Why is this place so blasted shut-off?!" She exclaimed to the sky, holding her hand to her smarting nose. "It's like walking through tar!"

It was at that moment Riley realized she wasn't alone. There was another girl in the hall with her, one hand holding a suitcase, the other holding what looked to be wonderfully quaint alchemical tools. Human. Staggeringly so. Oh, so she was in the Exchange student dormitory then. Boy had she miscalculated.

Mark had finally arrived, throwing his duffle bag over his shoulders, and the other big rolling luggage by his side. He stopped for a minute to hear the speakers as he stuffed his hand in his pocket. He sighed hearing the ever so obnoxious voice from the speakers. Another year of a school, he didnt expect he'd be attending a school his parents went to. He groaned annoyed, listening to the rest of the speakers and headed to his dorm. After a while of just skipping two to three steps going up to the fourth floor, and walking down the hall and passing by a few others, not really caring if he bumped into them. he finally found his name on the door. He unlocked the door and opened it as he yawned and entered pushing the luggage to the side while throwing the duffle bag on the floor. Since he wasnt going to be sharing his room, he didnt care about organization, not that he cared for much of it to begin with. His stomach growled and he made his way back out of his dorm, in search for food.

Jackson had been wearing glasses to cover up the fact he was wearing eye contacts with his emerald green eyes hinting slightly through them. It looked like his eyes with a green hazelly color. Meanwhile he was wearing a hoodie to cover his feline ears, that were flattened down with a bit of practice. He took his luggage and stopping listening to the speakers. Tilting his head he looked up curiously as he went back to closing himself in his own world. He made his way up the stairs to the third floor, not struggling to find his own dorm and he stuffed his luggage in the dorm and quickly headed out curiously to see or rather study others. He walked down the third hall, keeping his hands in his pockets and looking down not really paying attention to where he was going. He just let his feet lead him to wherever they pleased.

clayton gracefully landed in front of what she was told was the dorms with her small bag in hand. it was dark and gloomy, her kind of place. she retracted her wings to their normal state and pushed open the door. she cringed as a annoying voice came on a intercom talking about dorms and a assembly. new people. at the thought clayton rolled her eyes. after the voice stopped clayton headed towards her dorm. she slowly opened the door and walked in. she threw her bag onto the couch. she sighed. she hated being in new places, but soon it would be home. she got up from the couch, grabbed her bag, and went back into the bedroom. she pulled out of the bag a plain beige hoodie, a pair of black jeans, and some black combat boots. after changing she walked to the front door to head outside. once she got outside she pulled out her lighter and a cigarette. she usually didn’t want to smoke, but she was pretty overwhelmed at the moment. she leaned against the wall of the mansion and put the cigarette in her mouth.

ryder stood in front of the manor kind of terrified. with him he had his 2 suitcases, his backpack, and his favorite book in hand. he heard a voice come from a intercom of the sorts welcoming students and stuff. after hearing that sophomores were on the second floor that where he headed. He dragged his suitcase up the staircase trying not to scuff up the stairs. eventually, he arrived at his dorm. he opened the door and headed inside. he set his suitcases, backpack, and book down then proceeded to look around the dorm. he quickly became more excited seeing where he was staying. in that moment of excitement he decided he wanted to go meet some of the students he would be in class with. so he opened the door and headed out into the hallway.
