2018 Summer Event: Pet, Item, & Event Discussion

There's so many negative thoughts and words spurting out of here and I just wanted to remind everyone that the events are supposed to be fun. Enjoy them while they last, worry about things later. You'll have time to trade in tokens, there's still 6 days left. I think instead of bashing how hard it is to get chip tokens, instead thank the artists and everyone who helped create this, especially all of the wonderful pets and items. They're all just so gorgeous and I'm so glad to be apart of this.

I agree, the pets are wonderful, really lovely designs, and I am always very mindful of the time and effort that goes in to these events. If there are 6 days left, then I will probably manage to collect all of the pets, after all. It is just frustrating when you know your online time is limited, and you want to enjoy the event, but your enjoyment is being dampened at the thought of not being able to achieve all of the pets. If anything it's a compliment to the artists, that people feel sad that they might miss out. Nothing negative intended.
Incidentally, where does it say there are 6 days left? I haven't seen anything about the timeline.

Can anyone confirm a Day 5 egg for the Macaws? So far there are 4 known outcomes correct? I have had to make some late adopts and want to keep track if I need to get MORE Eggs.

Wow, another resort chip turn in... and it's another 3 token one. I'm extremely disappointed. The chips are much rarer than the other items and in higher demand due to the two chance/gambling games that don't always even reward a pet. This just feels not well planned.

I want to ooh and aww over the BW parrots, but I can't help but feel like they're far off goals when you still have ponies, eggs, and cats to save for =/ And dreading the banner limit.

I am really surprised there's another chip turn in. The chips aren't any rarer than the other tokens, but nearly all other turn ins had more than one option as a turn in (ex: seed or sprout/fruit or seed) and the chips were only that, no other option.

Some previous summer events had up to 14 days of banner hunting, but yeah the 2016 and 2017 summer events only had 11 and 10 days, respectively, of banner hunting.

Plot-wise it definitely doesn't feel like it's near the end. Hope the plot progresses at a natural pace (when are the workers going to realize what's going on? lol)

I absolutely love the macaw (rainbow one), even though I don’t have it.. oh well. The artist did a wonderful job on it, can’t wait to see what the other end up being

I have a prediction for the rest of the event!

I predict that we will be whisked off to the spirit world once the construction vehicles are defeated and see true-forms of the forest spirits.

I think we still have another week to go. This coming Friday being the last.
