2018 Summer Event: Pet, Item, & Event Discussion

I reallyyy love the tree on this rat <3
I feel like the rat itself could use some shading or something to tie it into the tree better, but the tree itself looks gorgeous

Yeah that was my bad, I feel I could have done better on the rat for sure to make it look just as detailed and pretty as the tree (I would have made it look more like stone probably), but unfortunately I ran out of motivation to continue after drawing the tree + small overgrowth. :'c If I ever do something similar like that again I'll probably be better equipped for art motivation to make everything look nice and detailed! I guess in a sense too I meant for the tree to be the main focus, which it is at least? x'D

Awww I can feel that. Sometimes it's really easy to get burned out on something when you focus on one aspect of it ahaha. I know when I paint backgroundss, I usually rush the sky cause I always sink so much time and energy into the grass and other details x'D

Definitely succeeded in making the tree the main focus; I really love the bark in particular and all the detail in the leaves is really nice <3
I like too that the shading on the tree is just as vibrant as the colours chosen, like the blue hues really pop

I looked in the archives and it happened only twice before in cs summer event history, both times during the space event of 2016.. I hope it doesn't happen again because the macaws already are getting crazy overpay and idk if I can handle any more!

I agree with the others that this is still really awesome! I don't know if i would have had the patience to draw in every little individual leaf, haha! xD

Also possibly unpopular opinion, I really like the look of the gorillas too. I'm actually kinda getting into this event. More than I have in the past few years.
