Here is all the known species of racing snails. Snails are ranked in rarity due to their accessibility and speed. The rarities are as follows: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary. Some snails only appear once a year, while others are found in your backyard.
This guide will only continue to grow as more snails are discovered.

racing
Racing is a very important part of racing snails. Some snails will love the crowds and the feeling of the racetrack under their slimes. Others may be intimidated by the high pressure but whatever your snail's personality, we hope to make racing as enjoyable as possible.
This post covers:
how racing works
types of races
race tiers
ghost racers
how racing works
The Snail Racing Association™ takes all measures to make sure that each race is as fair as possible. To do so, the racing system is calculated through points and put through the Random.org generator. When you enter your snail into a race, they are given one 'race' point. Your snail can gain race points through: clothing items, boosts, gaining levels, or by being a rarer species. To get more bonus points for your snail, see the Levels and Shop section.
An example race:
Snail A has no extra items
Snail B has 2 items
Snail C has 3 items + 1 point for rarity.
They will be put through the random generator like so:
Each snail gets 1 point for entering. Each snail with an item gets an extra point. Each snail that is rarer gets an extra point as well.
1. Snail A
2. Snail B
3. Snail B
4. Snail B
5. Snail C
6. Snail C
7. Snail C
8. Snail C
9. Snail C
The numbers 1 - 9 are put into the generator. The generator spits out the number 5, so the winning snail was Snail C. To determine second place, the generator is used again.
types of races
We like to host a different range of races for all different types of snails. Please make sure that you read the description of the race carefully! Your snail may have to meet certain requirements to be able to participate.
General: All species, all levels! This race is for everyone.
Level specific: These races are for snails of a certain level. Your snail must be the level required before the end of the race or it won't be included. This means if you are close to levelling up your snail, you can still enter the race if you manage to complete all the requirements to level up before it closes. Your level must be confirmed by Renneka before you can register.
Species specific: Some races take place in habitats that some snails aren't suited to. These races don't usually have a level restriction.
A mix of the above: Depending on the size of the racing snail population, very specific races can be held. For example: Sea snails above level 3. This will only happen if a large number of snails have already met these requirments.
race tiers
As your snail levels up, they will move up to higher level races. Your snail cannot race in a lower tier once it has reached level. Here are the tiers and the levels required to reach the race tier:
Level 0 - 1: Novice race
Level 2: Intermediate race
Level 3: Intermediate
Level 4: Expert
Level 5+ : Champion
ghost racers
We try to match all snails with similar abilities in races. If this is not possible, we use 'ghost' racers. Ghost racers are not real snails but are added in to provide competition. Ghost racers also make it possible for you to level up your snail regardless if there are no active racers in the industry.
If you have any questions or concerns about the racing system, please contact renneka! We are always trying to improve our system.

introduction
Breeding is way to get rare snails. There are several factors that affect breeding: Species, Rarity and Level of the parent snails. We have roughly figured out what the offsprings of your snails can turn out to be. Please read through everything!
Part A: Rarity
Random.org will be used to determine which rarity & species of your baby snail.
same rarity x same rarity = same species guarenteed
common x uncommon = 80% chance of common, 20% chance of uncommon
common x rare = 90% chance of common, 10% chance of rare
common x legendary = 95% chance of common, 5% of legendary
uncommon x common = 20% chance of uncommon, 80% chance of common
uncommon x rare = 75% chance of uncommon, 25% chance of rare
uncommon x legendary = 90% chance of uncommon, 10% chance of legendary
rare x common = 80% chance of common, 20% chance of rare
uncommon x rare = 75% chance of uncommon, 25% chance of rare
rare x legendary = 85% chance of rare, 15% chance of legendary
legendary x common = 5% chance of elite, 95% chance of common
legendary x uncommon = 10% chance of elite, 90% chance of uncommon
legendary x rare = 15% chance of legendary, 85% chance of rare
Part B: Level
If your parents have levelled up, this gives a bonus to your baby snail! This gives your baby snail a higher chance of being rare.
Level 1: + 5% of being a rarer snail
Level 2: + 10% of being a rarer snail
Level 3: + 20% of being a rarer snail
Level 4: + 30% of being a rarer snail
Level 5: + 45% of being a rarer snail

rarities
there are four (may change!) rarities of snails. Here's more information about each rarity:
common are found throughout the year. They are easily found in a variety of locations.
uncommon
rare snails can be
they give +1 racing bonus
elite snails are only found once a year. different elite species appear at different times of the year, for example around Christmas, Easter and Halloween.
They give +2 racing bonus
