Despite difficulties, I would try to handraise this little gal. Even though some hand-raised foals lack the equine social skills to stop them being a spoiled brat, I would try my best to keep her socialized with others of her age, maybe even of other breeds or species. A lot of experts bottle-feed foals for the first few weeks, then swap them to drinking from a bucket, and, I think this tried and true method would be the way that I try! It would certainly be an exciting challenge! ^.^

How you'll choose to raise them: Since I have no ownership of any other horses, I will spend every moment I can with Chance to be the best mother I can be for her. I'll have to research how mother horses discipline their foals and do the best I can to keep her from getting too spoiled. However, the moment I get another horse, I will definitely introduce them little by little and hope that Chance will get an actual parental figure to teach her how to be a horse instead of me. For now, I'll be the surrogate mother to little Chance.
