Gibbs looked at the boys and announced pointedly at Dunny and Con "you can go." he returned his gaze to Roran "you're with me." he informed him as he reached for the gun, where it had been dropped.

Dunny walked out as fast as he could glad to be dismissed. One
he was out of the cell he broke into a fast jog towards the barracks. he rushed to his room and sat on his bed confused.

Roran had the sudden urge to speak, remembering the proper way to ask, "permission to speak freely sir?"

Gibbs nodded impatiently after a moment of deliberation, expecting for all the world for the boy to start cussing.

Roran looked up still angry and he was surprised when he said "thank you, Gunnery Sergeant Gibbs. Thank you for not sending me home."

Gibbs just nodded and walked away towards the barracks. The night had fallen and he was tired.

Roran realised he'd be better trying to get on good terms with Gibbs if he was going to spending most of his time with him.

Con rushed out after Dunny he almost ran right into Beth and Penny. "Ya guess." he said to both of them and then looking at Penny "Are we still on for tonight?" He hoped so because he need a break from crazy town.

"Hi" mumbled Beth. She had trouble talking so she tried not to talk as much as possible.

Ethan had gotten up and went to his sleeping quarters and had fallen asleep and wasn't planning on getting up until morning.

Penny nodded "I hope so!" she replied

Con smiled "Good." with that he ran off toward the barracks.

Gibbs walked towards the small knot of teenagers forming. He walked up to them. He looked at Beth, "You should be in bed." he stated.

Roran walked behind Gibbs. he could see the pain Beth was in and instantly regretted the pain he was causing her.

Dunny was about to settle down in bed, when he saw Roran's bag. he shouldered it and took it to the other side next to the bed neatly made. Gibbs' he guessed. He noticed Ethan and walked over to him to check if he was still alive. he hovered near his head listening for breathing.

Ethan grabbed Dunny's ear "You shouldn't ever get that close to Gibbs or I while we are trying to sleep." Then he let go.

Beth just looked at Gibbs and then she spotted Roran. She glared at him. She knew it was partly her fault she was in pain but if the kid hadn't have attacked the L/Cpl she wouldn't have attacked him.

Con walked in on Dunny getting his ear grabbed by Ethan when Ethan had let go Con had gone over to Dunny, "I think Gibbs would shoot you if you did that to him." he said jokingly.

Dunny glared at him when he grabbed his ear. He laughed "well the officers do tend to be rather ungrateful." he sniggered "Don't they, Sir?" he asked sarcastically, "I was only checking you were still breathing." he explained.

Gibbs grabbed Roran by the shoulder and guided him to stand behind him. No way was he going to let him hide behind him. He let go of his shoulder and pushed a hand in the centre of his back, letting him know he wasn't stepping back. "If you want to, when your better, Roran can receive his beating from you." he informed her. "It's part of his punishment. If you don't, I will."

Roran shuddered as he heard again what was in-store for him.

Beth just nodded. She didn't like beating people but she could tell the kid was scared so she didn't tell Gibbs he could beat him.

Ethan opened one eye. "If you say so." and then went back to sleep.

Con walked over to an empty bed and layed down. He was so uneasy all he could think about was when he pulled the trigger.

Penny looked at beth "let's get you to the Baracks we can lay down for a while" she said turning around.
